Everything's Okay.

"Noooo... no. No. No." (Y/N) said to herself as she stared at the stick that showed two pink lines. Her heart pounded nervously against her rib cage, and she swore that the sound was echoing off the walls of the tiny bathroom in her apartment. "This cannot be happening. I can't be... pregnant."

She continued to stare at the stick in disbelief until she stood against the wall and slid to the floor in tears. This wasn't the plan. Her and Stiles were supposed to finish college, get married, have stable careers, and then maybe have a family. They're barely juniors in college. They can barely take care of themselves; how in the world are they supposed to be able to handle a kid?

How did this even happen? They were always so careful. Hell, (Y/N) was even on the pill. Except... spring break in Cancun when she forgot them at home. Crap, she thought as she ran her hands through her thick brown hair. They were really drunk and she had forgotten that she forgot her pills at home. "I knew I should have taken the morning after pill." She said to the empty bathroom.

Her phone started blaring the Spice Girls "Wannabe", an inside joke between her and Stiles that he hated, and it pulled (Y/N) from her worried thoughts. But those worries were only replaced with new ones. How in the hell am I going to tell him? ran through her mind as she stared at his goofy picture on her phone. There's no way he's going to take this well. He struggles enough with having to keep up his studies in criminal law and investigating and having to help handle any supernatural happenings still going on in Beacon Hills. Oh, God. He's definitely going to freak about having to raise a baby around this supernatural world they live in. She knows this because now she's freaking out about having to do that.

The phone continued to sing as (Y/N) somehow managed to calm herself enough to answer without coming off like something is wrong. "H... hey, baby. What's up?" She tried to ask casually.

Stiles knew her better than anyone though, "(Y/N)? What's wrong?" He asked, his voice full with worry.

(Y/N) swallowed hard, trying to control her emotions more. "Nothing. I'm fine." Even she wouldn't believe that with how shaky her voice came out. Get it together, (Y/N), she thought to herself. "So what's up?" she asked again, trying to change the subject.

"Nothing much. Just on my way to see you." He stated smoothly, and this got her panicking.

"What? Why?" She asked quickly.

"Because something's wrong, and since you aren't going to tell me on the phone for some reason, I'm coming to you." He answered and (Y/N) heard his Jeep roar to life through the speaker.

She closed her eyes and felt a tear slide down her cheek, "Stiles, I told you. I'm fine." Her voice still wasn't very convincing.

"Okay then, if you are then there shouldn't be any problem with me coming to see my girlfriend at her apartment." He responded, and when she sighed through the speaker, he knew he was right. "I'll be there in ten."

She finally gave in with a whisper, "okay. I love you."

(Y/N) heard him sigh in almost relief, "I love you too, (Y/N). I'll see you in a bit."

With that, they both hung up, and (Y/N) started panicking about how in the world she was going to tell Stiles she was pregnant with his child. She was afraid of how he'd react. While she was sure Stiles would never be a dead-beat dad, she didn't want to lose him. She couldn't. He had been such a permanent fixture in her life, she didn't know what she would do without him... especially with a baby, nor did she want to. She couldn't picture having or raising a child with anyone else.

She stood up from her spot in the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a mess and her cheeks were blotchy and stained with mascara tears. "You can do this, (Y/N). Just rip off the Band-Aid." She said to herself as she tried to clean up her face and hair.

Before she knew it, she heard her apartment door opening and closing and Stiles' voice sounding through the apartment. "(Y/N)? Where are you at?"

(Y/N) took in a deep breath and slowly let it out. "Here we go." She whispered to herself before grabbing the pregnancy test and sticking it in her back pocket. "I'm right here." She finally answered, forcing a smile on her face as she walked into the living room.

When she finally saw him, she nearly broke down and Stiles raced to wrap his arms around her. "Hey, hey..." He cooed in her ear as he hugged her tight. "I'm right here. What's wrong, baby?" He rubbed his hands up and down her back. "You know you can talk to me." He said with reassurance.

She sniffled against his shirt as she tried to hold back the tears, but a few had escaped and dampened his shirt. Stiles pulled back, held her at arms-length, and looked right into her teary, brown eyes. "Baby, you can tell me anything." He reassured her once again as he squeezed her shoulders.

(Y/N) nodded her head. She knew that she could tell him anything. She just didn't know how to spit the words out, and she didn't know how he would react. That's what she was most afraid of. "I know. I just..." she finally managed to start. She just stared back into his whiskey colored eyes and wanted to wash the worry away from them. Just rip it off, (Y/N). She took another breath and grabbed the test from her back pocket, holding it up to him with a shaky hand. "This." She whispered, tears filling her eyes once again.

Stiles looked down to her hands with confused eyes. "What's this?" He examined it more closely and she watched his mouth drop open when it finally hit him. "Wh..." she noticed his Adam's apple bob up and down as he swallowed hard. "What do the two pink lines mean?" He finally mustered out.

"The only thing that would have me worried like this." (Y/N) replied softly as she tried to read what was going through his mind.

He was silent for a minute, still staring at the stick. "You... You're pregnant?... with my.... I'm... I'm going to be... you're pregnant?" He stuttered out and finally looked back at her.

(Y/N) nodded slowly and whispered, "yes, to all of it." She still couldn't tell what he was thinking. Shock. Fear. Worry. Sadness. Happiness. A mixture of all of it.

Suddenly, a wide smile broke across his face as tears brimmed his eyes. "We're having a baby, baby!"

"Wait... you aren't upset or scared or freaking out? Because I'm definitely scared and freaking out." She said panicky.

Stiles chuckled a little and offered a sweet smile as he pulled her closer to him. "Of course I'm scared and freaking out, but I'm also over-the-moon happy and insanely in love with you that that trumps any fears I have." He explained, the smile never leaving his face.

"Really?" (Y/N) questioned, starting to relax a little.

His face went serious as he looked into her eyes. "Yes, really." His hands were wrapped around her waist as he pulled her even closer. "(Y/N), there's no one in this world that I'd rather have this with. Would it be better if it were another year or two from now? Of course. But I'm not going to run away because of that. We've been through too much, survived too much, for me to leave you when you need me most. We can do this. I promise."

(Y/N) blinked and a few tears fell from her eyes. "I love you so much." She said with a relieved smile.

Stiles wiped away her tears with his thumb, "Not as much as I love you." He responded. (Y/N) rolled her eyes at him as he leaned down to kiss her sweetly. After he pulled away from her lips, she looked at him confused as he squatted down to her stomach. "You're going to be the best kid in the world, and I'm going to love you more than life itself." He said to her stomach, and (Y/N) couldn't help the tears that continued to flow as she smiled down at him and ran her fingers through his hair. He lifted her shirt a little and placed a soft kiss on her stomach before standing up and embracing her. "We're going to be okay, (Y/N)." He whispered in her ear as he held her close.

She wrapped her arms tightly around him and breathed in his scent. This was her home, wrapped in his arms. This was her safety. She knew that everything would be okay as long as she had this right here.

Then she remembered something. "Tell me that after we've told our family and friends." She said as she leaned back a little and looked at him with another worried look.

Stiles scrunched up his face a little and sighed. "Right."

(Y/N) looked at him with surprised eyes, "Please don't tell me you're worried about telling them because I'm pretty sure I'm worried enough for the both of us and I can't handle you actually being worried too." She rambled.

He laughed a little and placed his hands on both sides of her face, "they're going to be thrilled, (Y/N). Now stop you're worrying. The anxiety thing is my job, remember?" He said with a smirk on his lips, which caused her to laugh.

***

They stood in the center of the living room of the Stilinski house with their friends and family sitting in front of them with impatient looks on their faces. (Y/N)'s parents sat on the love seat holding hands with concerned eyes. Sheriff Stilinski sat next to Melissa McCall on the couch, everyone has been patiently waiting for them to take the plunge and get married since they finally got together a few years ago. Next to Melissa was Scott who had a weird look on his face, almost as if he knew. Lydia sat next to him, back straight and hands folded in her lap, as prim and proper as usual. Malia, Liam, Hayden and Mason stood around the room looking the most impatient of all.

Stiles and (Y/N) invited the whole pack because it only felt right. They were like family anyways. It made sense to include them in this moment.

"So? Are you going to tell us what you have us all here for?" Stiles' dad finally asked.

"Or are you going to just stand there and stare at us like we're aliens or something?" Liam piped in and Stiles shot him an annoyed glare.

"Well," Stiles began as he grabbed (Y/N)'s hand, which she was grateful for because it stopped it from shaking. They had decided that Stiles would do all the talking because she was just too nervous. She wouldn't be surprised if Scott, Malia, Liam, and Hayden could sense her anxiety, but they might just have it mixed with Stiles' usual nervousness.

"Are you getting married?" Lydia interrupted with a big smile spreading across her face. She had been calling dibs on Maid of Honor/wedding planner since (Y/N) and Stiles first started getting serious. That's what came with having Lydia Martin as your best friend.

Stiles began to start again and (Y/N) didn't miss the small grin on his lips, "not exactly..."

"Oh no. Neither of you are sick, are you?" (Y/N)'s mother questioned with worry etched in her voice.

"No, mom, neither of us are sick." (Y/N) reassured her mother.

"Well, what is it? You're killing us here." Malia spoke up, a slightly annoyed look on her face.

Some might find it odd that Stiles' ex-girlfriend and ex-love were here for this, but it really wasn't. They were all friends, and had moved on from any awkwardness a long time ago. Of course, that hadn't stopped (Y/N) from feeling a tinge of jealousy every once in a while, especially towards Lydia. But she knew that Stiles loved her and wanted to be with her. That was all that mattered.

"Well, if everyone would stop interrupting me, I'd be able to tell you." Stiles responded with an exasperated look on his face. He waited a minute before continuing to ensure that no one else would interrupt. "Now, I know this will probably come as a surprise to you all, it did to us too, but we're happy about it, and we hope you will be too. We certainly didn't plan or expect this, but we're going to get through it the best that we can because it's certainly not a burden. It's just something that life has..."

"Just tell us already!" Liam interrupted again and Scott shot a disapproving glare to his beta.

Stiles sighed in annoyance, "I was trying to build it up, but since someone," he glared at Liam, "doesn't have any patience, I'll just spit it on out."

"Thank, God." Liam and Malia said at the same time.

Stiles and Scott shot them both a glare again. "Anyways," he emphasized dramatically, "um... we're having a baby!" He finally announced with excitement. They both stared at their family and friends with smiles.

Everyone was silent, assumingly taking in the information, and (Y/N) began to panic. "Saying something would be pretty reassuring right now..." Stiles broke the silence as he looked around the room, probably sensing (Y/N)'s nerves about the silence.

"Wait, you're serious?" Malia asked, to which (Y/N) and Stiles nodded.

"Of course they're serious! They wouldn't joke about something like this." Lydia said with a big smile and walked up to hug Stiles and (Y/N). "Congratulations you two!" She stated genuinely as she wrapped her arms around them.

"Yeah, congratulations guys." Liam said as he came up and patted Stiles on the back before giving (Y/N) a hug, followed by Hayden and Mason.

"Sorry about that. I was just expecting something different I guess. Congrats!" Malia said as she hugged them both.

"Way to go, buddy!" Scott said as he patted his best friend on the back and gave him a hug. "Congrats, (Y/N)!" He said genuinely as he gave her a hug. "Better hope you don't get a mini Stiles." He joked with a laugh.

"Ha. Ha. Real funny." Stiles responded dryly, but had a grin still on his face.

"I don't think he's kidding. You were a hellion growing up." Stiles' dad chimed in as he walked up and hugged his son. "Congratulations, son." He said as he looked Stiles in the eyes with pride in his own. "And officially welcome to the family, (Y/N)." He offered with a hug.

"Congratulations. You two are going to be great parents." Melissa stated as she gave them both hugs. "And just think, you have all these wonderful, free babysitters on hand." She suggested with a smile.

"Fifteen dollars an hour!" Liam yelled from the couch and Hayden hit him in the stomach while Scott threw a pillow at him. "What?? I'm not watching a baby for free." He tried to defend, but everyone rolled their eyes at him.

Finally, (Y/N)'s parents stood in front of them with sappy, proud smiles on their faces. "You aren't disappointed, are you?" (Y/N) asked nervously.

"What? Honey, of course not. We're so unbelievably happy for you two." Her mother answered with tearful eyes as she pulled her into a hug.

"Are you a little young? Sure, but you two can make it work. Plus, you have all of this support behind you, including us." Her dad offered. "Welcome to the family, son." He continued and gave Stiles a hug, then (Y/N) one.

"We love you, and can't wait to watch this little baby grow." Her mom continued her sappy rambling for what seemed like forever.

(Y/N) felt herself relax as the love and support in the room washed over her. Her nerves of what they would think had consumed her so much, that she had almost believed the worst. If her and Stiles didn't have their love and support, she wasn't sure they would make it. They're just kids themselves still. It's hard to believe that about eight months from now, they would be parents. It all overwhelmed her emotions.

As her parents walked away, Stiles pulled his hand away from (Y/N)'s and wrapped his arm around her shoulder before pulling her closer. "See? I told you everything would be okay." He whispered in her ear before placing a kiss on her forehead. She looked around the room at everyone, and finally felt at ease.

Yes, everything was definitely going to be okay.

The End.
