Chapter 27: Safe and Sound

Y/n has been captured by some familiar villains that want to ask a few questions :p Enjoy!

You woke up with a start, your breath hitching sharply. The memories of yesterday flooded into your mind and if you were not securely tied to a chair you were sure that you would have fainted. Luckily you weren't blindfolded but the room you were in was pitch black so it took some time for your eyes to adjust.

You could hear footsteps outside. Every instinct was screaming at you to get out of there, but the metal chains around your arms and legs made things difficult. There was a door to your right that opened suddenly and two people walked in.

One of them had a hand covering his face and the other looked like he was made of mist. You struggled to remember what their names were because you were sure that they had talked before you blacked out but you couldn't remember.

The misty guy must be the one that can make portals, you thought as you watched them with careful eyes. The lanky one with the strange hand mask didn't seem to be too old, as he had longish light blue hair. In fact, he could've been student himself. He chuckled lowly and took a seat on a chair near you.

"You made it pretty far in the Sports Festival right?"

"...."

"Oh well. You don't have to answer because I already know. I researched you before my friend Kurogiri here went out and got you for me. What do you think my efforts?"

"It's really creepy actually." you replied, trying your best to keep your voice from trembling. You had no idea what this guy's quirk was but you had a feeling that you didn't want to find out. "What do you want from me?"

"Nothing much. Just some information." he said. He sounded sincere, but you weren't sure if he was just planning on killing you after you told him what he wanted to hear. You felt your cheeks grow hot as tears welled up in your eyes.

Kyoko...mom...Tamaki. I'm sorry...I should've been more careful!

Tears rolled down your cheeks and you bit down on your lower lip. "T-Tell me something villain. If you researched me...do you know about my family?"

"Of course. You have one sister...Kyoko? And a mom at home, but your dad isn't there often."

"H-He died when I was little..."

"Figures." he replied. You gulped down, willing your tears to stop falling down your cheeks.

"I-If I tell you what you want to know...keep them out of this. Don't hurt them!"

He nodded his head slowly and said, "Fine. I wasn't really planning on it anyway."

If you weren't so scared for your own life you would've sighed in relief, but instead you just grit your teeth and prepared for whatever was next.

"I wanna know U.A. inside and out you see, so do you know where important files are kept? Like scheduling plans and all of that."

"Scheduling plans? F-For what?" you asked him.

"Anything. Like a field trip perhaps. Where do you guys usually go on field trips off campus?"

You thought for a moment before answering. "I-I think that schedules would either be in the teacher's offices...or in the principal's office. I haven't been on any field trips...but there's USJ. Some classes go there..."

"Perfect!" he exclaimed with hollow excitement. The purple misty man, who had been standing near the doorway now spoke up.

"Do you know if there are going to be any new hires for teachers? Any major pro heroes?" he asked. You shook your head, trying to wrap your head about what they wanted.

"No? They don't tell me stuff like that..." you replied, hoping that they believed you. You really didn't know that information though.

"So...you haven't heard anything about All Might then?" the younger man asked, his voice suddenly a lot more serious than what it had been.

So that's it huh? A personal vendetta to get closer to All Might!

"No. I didn't know he was going to start working at U.A. High." you stated.

"He might. In a few years...but you won't be around to see that I suppose." he whispered, leaning forward and grabbing your shoulder roughly. Your eyes widened as you felt a searing pain run through your entire body.

"A-AAAAHHH!"

A strangled scream escaped your throat, and he removed his hand from your shoulder. Where his hand had been was now the sight of a extreme pain. Your shirt sleeve had been disintegrated along with most of the first layer of your skin.

He leaned back in his chair and just chuckled. "Usually I would disintegrate someone more, but I think this'll send the message. We're coming to U.A. High, maybe tomorrow...maybe not. But we will definitely make that wretched place ours, like it's a fun game. Don't ever forget this little hero...how scared you are at this moment. Remember it, and cower."

"Fuck y-you. I'll never cower...I'll hunt you down...and I'll kill you myself if I have to! I'll be the hero that will bring you down, so why don't you just remember that!!"

"Haha, do you know why we chose to capture you y/n?" he asked. You steadied your breathing and shook your head. "It's because of that temper of yours. I saw it during the Sports Festival, and my first thought was that you'd make a great villain."

His words hit you like a freight train. Never in a million years had you even entertained the thought of being a villain, and yet here was this killer sitting there saying that you had potential. It made you sick.

"F-Fuck off. You might've stalked me, but you don't know me."

"Hm, well just keep your options open. Oh and be sure to show that nasty mark to your teachers, especially that fool Eraserhead. We'll meet again later y/n."

"W-Wha--" But before you could finish, Kurogiri opened up a portal under you that swallowed up the floor and made you and the chair sink down. You were engulfed in darkness for a few terrifying seconds before you crashed down hard on another cold floor. The chair wobbled before landing on its side with you still tightly bound to it.

You heard multiple people gasp in surprise at your sudden landing, but you immediately recognized where you were. Kurogiri had transported you directly into the teacher offices at U.A. High.

"Y/n! What happened to you?" Blood King asked, kneeling down next to you. "She's chained down...just hang on y/n Eraserhead and I will get you out."

"T-Thanks." you replied weakly. Present Mic frowned down at you, seemingly horrified at the scene before him.

"She's injured guys. Look at her shoulder! Who would do something like this to one of our students!"

You mumbled an answer, your eyes already beginning to close as your head swam. "Kuro...Kurogiri..." you whispered.

Blood King and Eraserhead finally got the chains off of you and picked you up in his arms. "Kurogiri huh? It's ok y/n...just rest now. You're safe with us."

"I-I...I'm sorry...this i-is my fault..." you mumbled. "T-The villains...they t-think I have potential."

Blood King shook his head as he walked carried you down the hall to Recovery Girl's office. "Who cares what they think y/n? You're not like them, and they mounted a surprise attack on you because they're nothing but a few cowards. They knew they really wouldn't be able to turn you to their side...you're so much stronger willed than them. Remember that."

The young villain's words came back to you,"Don't ever forget this little hero...how scared you are at this moment. Remember it, and cower." and you were filled with a sudden anger. How different Blood King sounded compared to him, how much more noble!

You had to become stronger than them...your ideals had to be stronger than theirs!

"Y-You're right." you replied with a sly grin. You were too tired to talk anymore though, after all you had been sure that you were going to die just a few minutes ago, and now you were back with the teachers. "Blood King...I c-can't..."

"It's alright you don't have to talk anymore. It's alright." he said, and you smiled weakly. You knew he wasn't lying. You were finally safe.
