Episode 7

"Hey, you shouldn't have said that to those interns. Now they're scared to work here." Chorong said while jogging after Jimin. The interns decided to start their work already but thanks to Jimin, they're all scared of entering the graphics floor. Ignoring the latter, Jimin walked inside the larder and decided to grab a coffee making Chorong frown in disappointment.

"Hey, I'm talking to you." Chorong said her voice louder making Jimin irritated. "What is it to you anyways?" He curtly asked and Chorong frowned. "You scared those kids!" Chorong defended and Jimin snorted. "It's usual." He answered and Chorong sighed.

"You're hopeless." Chorong muttered. "Yeah, thanks." Jimin answered sarcastically.

"Socially impaired." Chorong muttered again and Jimin took a seat on the table ignoring her incoherent mumblings. "You know what? Maybe I should ask Chanyeol oppa to replace you in handling those poor interns. You're abusing them." Chorong said trying to annoy him even more and Jimin slammed his hand against the table making Chorong jump in surprise.

"What?" Chorong dared to ask.

"You know what? I'd be happier if you go instead." Jimin said and Chorong furrowed her brows. The tables have turned. "You're getting into my nerves." Jimin continued, his voice hushed but filled with anger. "And if given the chance, I would never ever want to meet you." Jimin finished as he spun his heels around and walked away leaving Chorong standing there. Flabbergasted.

Everything he said was just too much for her to take in. She didn't expect him to say all those.

Letting out a shaky breath, Chorong shook her head and wiped the tears that are threatening to fall down her cheeks with the back of her hand. "I've gone too far." Chorong muttered under her breath as she composed herself again and walked out of the larder.

On the other hand...

"How's the meeting?" Jimin asked as soon as he entered his cousin's office. "Good, everything went well and everyone's working diligently." Chanyeol answered, his eyes never leaving the papers he's holding. "I heard about the interns, how are they?" Chanyeol asked and Jimin sighed. He already knew what his cousin is talking about.

"News sure travels fast." Jimin replied and Chanyeol chuckled. "You shouldn't have told them that you know, those poor kids are now traumatized by you." Chanyeol said and Jimin shrugged. "It will remind them not to mess with me." Jimin said and Chanyeol raised his brows. "Still mean, I see?" Chanyeol asked and Jimin frowned. "I'm not." He answered.

"Those interns are still young Jimin, a glitch is a glitch." Chanyeol said and Jimin threw his hands up and spun around ignoring his cousin. "Don't turn your back on me." Chanyeol said making Jimin stop his pace. "What?" Jimin asked, turning to face his cousin again.

"When are you going to stop mistreating people?" Chanyeol asked and Jimin furrowed his brows. "I'm not." He defended and Chanyeol shook his head as he stood up from his chair and approached Jimin. "You know what exactly I'm talking about. You mistreat people, you push them away, you don't even want them to get close to you. You don't want attachment." Chanyeol said and Jimin snorted.

"You're right." Jimin answered. "Why does it even matter to you anyways?"

"Because I want the old you back!" Chanyeol said, his voice raising and Jimin sighed. "This is still me."

"No, it's not you. Because the Jimin I knew never mistreated people even if they took lots of advantages on him, the Jimin I knew never talked curtly to anyone, the Jimin I knew was the nicest of all being."

"That's not me hyung." Jimin said and Chanyeol shook his head. "Your parents made you into this." Chanyeol said and Jimin snickered, he tried to fight the urge to grab his cousin's collar and make him shut up.

"Stop." Jimin said and Chanyeol shook his head.

"You exactly know what they did to you. You were two years old when they abandoned you, you never talked, and you were depressed. A two year old, depressed." Chanyeol said pressing every word wanting Jimin to realize how he has become like that. "Stop." Jimin threatened again but Chanyeol didn't listen.

"You got into your adoptive parents, but it didn't last long. You clearly remember how they both came back and forced to take you away from the people who gave you love and made you see the colors of the world again, didn't you fall back to depression after that? Didn't you stopped talking again right after your adoptive parents lost at the court and have to give you back to your real parents? I've seen all that Jimin, that's what turned you into that now." Chanyeol said and Jimin clenched his fist.

He clearly remembers everything, from the time his adoptive parents gave him back to his real parents to the time when he wasn't able to speak to anyone anymore because of his depression.

Chanyeol saw all that, he's the living proof of everything Jimin went through.

"That's the reason why you saw the world to yourself only." Chanyeol finished.

Finally, Jimin looked up. "This is me now hyung, it's all in the past."

"But--"

"This. Is. Me." Jimin said as he turned and walked away leaving Chanyeol looking at him in disappointment. Walking back to his chair, Chanyeol slumped himself on the seat and pressed his hands against his face. He too was traumatized with everything that he had seen happening to his cousin, yes, he had witness it all from the time Jimin's parents brought him to the orphanage, to the time when Jimin's parents decided to take him back and fortunately won the court trials, to the time he saw Jimin stopped smiling and talking again because of the depression and trauma he's experienced and thinking of it, what more did Jimin felt right?

He was frightened, completely, utterly and wholly frightened.

Shaking his head, Chanyeol looked out of the glass walls and watched as his cousin patiently waited for the elevator to come.

Chanyeol sighed, all he wanted was for his cousin to be happy again.

A tired sigh.

That's all that Chorong can do as soon as her body came in contact with the bench at the company's rooftop, coming to think of it, she had a busy day. From recording the new song, to guiding the interns with their work and finally, ending her day with an argument with Jimin.

Closing her eyes, Chorong leaned her back at the back rest of the bench and let her head roll over when she heard a deep sigh coming not so far from her. Opening her eyes, Chorong immediately sat up straight and looked around only to see Jimin standing at the edge of the rooftop. His hands over the railing and his eyes staring into nothing.

Chorong frowned when she saw him looked down on the floor and back to staring into nothing again.

What surprised her even more is when Jimin wiped his eyes with the back of his hand like he's preventing himself from crying. Looking at him worriedly, Chorong stood up and was about to approach him when she suddenly realized that she might piss Jimin again.

She smiled bitterly.

Her presence already pisses him off, what more is her approaching him right? And by the looks of it, Chorong doesn't want to add another bother to him. So instead, with heavy steps, Chorong turned her heels away not forgetting to give him one last glance before leaving.

As much as she hated their situation now, she knows she can't do anything.

Jimin despised her.

But surely, she felt the opposite for him.
