So guys, it's been forever. But I'm back (maybe). Just a little recap (even I had to go back and read): Poseidon showed up after years of absence, Helen and Frederick are getting a divorce (yay Freddie!), Annabeth has decided to go on a tour one last time now that she doesn't have Helen to boss her around. And Annabeth and Percy took Estelle shopping for a dress to watch Annabeth's shows.

Hope that's enough info! Welcome back:

Annabeth POV-

We take Estelle home. She skips happily, while Percy holds the bag with the pink dress she chose.

"Mommy! Look at the dress I got!" She reaches for the bag from Percy and pulls it out. She smiles.

"That's gorgeous!" Sally exclaims.

"It'll be perfect for the concert!" Estelle exclaims. She continues to chat happily with her mom and Percy takes me into the living room.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"What?"

"You fiddle with that ring when you're nervous." He pulls my hands to his. "What's wrong?"

"I have to visit my dad again soon. Before Monday. That's when Helen takes the boys. Then I have to meet with a lawyer about my own financial issues with Helen. Then I'm a witness to help my dad get custody of the boys." I sigh. "I'm just stressed."

"I'll go with you," he decides. "To Frederick's. I'd be happy to see the twins again."

I smile. "Would you?"

"Of course. You know that. Anything you need."

I release a breath, feeling like I had lost a huge weight on my chest. "Thank you."

He kisses my forehead. "When are we going?"

"Can-can we go tonight? I kinda want to get it over with. And I've been worried about him. I just want to make sure he's okay. I'm this stressed about it, I can't imagine how he feels."

Percy smiles. "We can go tonight. Did you want to bring him dinner?"

"That's the first good idea you've had in a long time." He laughs. I call my dad to let him know we'd be stopping by, and Paul insists that he should cook up his famous lasagna for us to take to him.

Percy takes the car and drives us towards the penthouse. We chat along the way about anything and everything.

"Tomorrow can we go to the old camp?" I ask. He raises an eyebrow. "I'm working on a project there. I just need to see how it's going."

"Yeah, we can do that. That'll be fun."

I smile at him. "Thanks."

"Anything for you, you know that." I kiss his cheek. He puts one hand on my leg. It's only then that I notice that it's bouncing, the nerves of visiting my dad taking over.

"I just worry about him."

Percy doesn't need an explanation. "I know. He'll be okay, though. And the boys will be okay too. Don't worry."

I stay silent. Percy's hand remains over the center console, resting on my leg. His touch helps to calm my nerves.

When we pull into the lot, I lean over and kiss him. Every ounce of nervousness seems to fade away then. I feel like I'm melting and floating at the same time. Water must feel this way when it is kissed by the sun's light. Once frozen, then liquid, soon evaporating into the clouds.

That's how every breath I shared with Percy felt.

Suddenly, I hear a knock. I turn to find Matthew laughing outside of the car while Bobby is running back into the complex to my dad's penthouse.

"Anna-Banana-Beth! Stop kissing your boyfriend!"

I open the door. "What did I say about calling me that?"

"You said not to. But Percy said-" I whip around to Percy who is smirking, standing on the other side of the car. "-that it's funny so we should."

Percy gives me an innocent smile. "I would never."

"Matthew, can I give you the lasagna to take inside?" I ask.

"LASAGNA!" Matthew exclaims. I hand him the pan, and he begins to walk inside. Then, I bolt after Percy. He doesn't have time to get very far as I launch myself at him. Together, we tumble to the ground, laughing.

"Yes, Banana Beth?"

"You're diabolical."

"You just scarred two children like five minutes ago."

"How was I supposed to know that they would come running out to the car?"

Percy smiles. "Because they love me. And I'm here."

I laugh. "I guess I should have figured that, huh?" I stand up and hold out a hand to him. "Let's go eat."

He follows me into the penthouse. My dad greets me with a hug. I'm happy to see he's okay. He hugs Percy too. Then, the boys come running towards us.

Bobby hugs Percy first, excited to see him again. Matthew hugs me. The two switch, Matthew hugs Percy and Bobby hugs me.

"Will you please play video games with us?" Matthew asks him.

"Of course," Percy says. "But we should eat first. I'm starving." All three boys run to the kitchen, my dad and I following behind laughing. He puts an arm over my shoulder.

"I missed you, how have you been?" He asks me.

"I've been okay. How are you? I've been worried about you."

"No need to worry. I'm great. I'm the happiest I've been in a long time." His voice is smooth. He doesn't show any signs that he's lying. Any sign that he's struggling other than the stress that comes with the whole ordeal.

"I'm glad. If you need anything let me know, seriously."

"Annabeth, Helen and I were terrible to you for years. You don't owe me anything."

I remain silent, dumbfounded by what to say. He's never admitted to his personal treatment of me, just hers. It felt nice to finally hear him admit it.

"Food is gonna get cold!" Matthew yells from the kitchen. "Hurry up!"

I turn and walk to the kitchen, eager to kill the awkwardness of what to say to my dad.

We chat over dinner, and after, Percy takes the boys to the game room, leaving my dad and I to chat some more.

I will continue soon (I really hope). I have an idea, I'm just tired lol. Hope you enjoyed!
