Annabeth POV-

I sat, listening to Luke go on and on about his new part in an upcoming movie. He was apparently the star. Maybe they would call it 'Asshole, The Musical' and make it a true story based on his life. I would probably buy buy t-shirts and other merchandise just to burn them.

"Annabeth, are you even listening?" He asked.

"Nope."

"This is exactly why we broke up, you never listen to me."

"No, we broke up because you cheated on me."

"I did not!"

"You kissed her, Luke."

"I was drunk! I didn't mean it, I swear Annabeth, I loved you." He disgusts me. "I still do." He looked so sorry, so vulnerable.

"It broke my heart when you left me," he said. He grabbed my wrists and looked me in the eyes. He pleaded for my forgiveness.

"Luke-"

"I do love you."

"Stop."

"No, listen to me, Annabeth. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. I-" He leaned in and kissed me. I almost fell for it. I almost melted into the kiss and forgave him. It felt so good to feel like someone loved me again. But it didn't feel right. Not when I l-

I heard the door slam shut, who was that? I shoved Luke away. "Annabeth-"

"Out!" I pointed towards the door. "Get out of here Luke!"

He left, shoulders sagging. I felt bad. Stop, Annabeth, he cheated on you, he doesn't deserve pity. But, there was still a part of me that wanted to apologize to him. Tell him that maybe we could work it out.

"I thought maybe I had a chance," he said. "Are you- are you dating that one guy, Percy?"

"I-" it would be so much easier to say yes, but that wasn't true. "I'm not."

"Oh. I just thought that maybe that's why you were so quick to turn me down."

"No, the reason I was so quick was solely because I don't love you." And maybe because of Percy too.

"Oh okay," he sighed. "I'm sorry. I thought maybe this could work. I'll see you tomorrow."

He left the room and the door slammed shut behind him. I sighed and pulled out my blueprints. Then, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I called. The door opened and Reyna stood in the opening. She closed it behind her and walked towards me a few steps.

"I have a few questions," she said.

"Go ahead."

"First, where's Thalia?"

"Turns out she has a brother named Jason who's supposed to be dead."

"Oh. Okay." She nodded. "What was Luke so upset about?"

"I may have told him that I don't love him."

"Does anybody?" I laughed. "You're doing a good thing for his ego. What happened?"

"He confessed his 'love' for me and tried to kiss me. I shoved him away."

"Oh. Did the door by chance open while you were 'kissing?'"

"I heard it close, why?"

Her face paled and she bit her lip. "Umm... I ran into Percy as I was exiting and he was entering the elevator. He looked kinda upset but-"

"Shit!" I exclaimed. I jumped up from my seat on the couch.

"Go get your man!" Reyna exclaimed as I ran out of the door. I turned around to glare at her. She smiled and shrugged.

I rush to the elevator and push the down button. Please let him still be here. The doors opened, in a way that seemed so slow. Nothing was fast enough for me right now. What if he left?

Percy POV- (starts at the end of last chapter)

Grover was scaring me. What was he so afraid of with this other band. "Grover, can you tell me who this band is?" I asked as we arrived on the floor of Annabeth's studio.

"You'll see. Their name is 'Pain! Agony Torture Death', The lead singer is scary, man, she threw meat at me once in the café. I don't eat meat!"

"Wait, you're scared of them because she threw meat at you?"

"She also threw a chair at me. And a table. The fact that she can lift those things should scare you enough. The only reason they're still here is because she threatened Apollo with a knife to his throat."

"Oh my god, what the hell?"

"Don't knock before entering. It gives them time to prepare the weapons." He shuttered as if he had experienced something traumatic with them before, which, from my understanding, he had. "Good luck, my friend." I opened the door of the room to see a large girl sitting on the couch, sharpening her knife, a short man hitting the drums with a sledgehammer, clearly angry, and two boys who could pass as twins sitting in the corner tied to chairs, faces pale and scared. Considering it was New York, I wasn't surprised. She looked up and glared at me.

"Hedge, put the hammer away, we got witnesses... or we could kill him too."

"Please! Let us go! I swear, I won't take your guitar again!" The taller boy cried. The girl looked back and forth between them, the man named Hedge, and I.

"Fine. But I will be calling Katie and telling her all about what you did."

"No! She'll kill us too!" the other cried.

"Good."

She brought her knife across the ropes and the boys scrambled free.

"Bye, Clarisse! Bye Hedge! Nice seeing you again!" The shortest yelled.

"Same time next week if we survive Katie-Kat?" The other asked. The girl, Clarisse flashed a smile.

"Yep! See you then!" The door closed as they left and she turned to me. "Who are you and what do you want?" She held the knife out threateningly.

"I'm Percy, I'm supposed to record for you..."

"Okay, Prissy-"

"Percy."

"Whatever. Let us go get a new set of drums, and then we'll play for you. Make sure it sounds very loud in the headphones." The duo headed out of the room, only to return five minutes later with a drum set.

I sat at the sound system and turned everything on while they set it all up in their room. The man, Hedge, gave me a thumbs up and I hit the button to record, turning the sound up and putting the headphones on.

After five minutes of listening to them yell "DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!" Into a mic and pounding the drums to the death (brought to you by Hedge) and the guitar played in a way that made you want to run in fear, I hit the button to stop recording. Clarisse came out and grabbed a bottle of water. Her throat probably hurt from the yelling.

"How did it sound, Prissy?" She asked.

"Umm... it was good. I really enjoyed the chorus."

She shot me a glare. "You can go now."

I eagerly left the room, heading to Annabeth's. I opened the door. My eyes widened. Luke's arms were wrapped around her and they were kissing. I thought she hated him, I-

I slammed the door shut and ran down the hall. I was getting ready to go into the elevator as Reyna was stepping out. "Percy are you okay, you look sick?"

"I'm fine!" I pushed the button to get to the first floor of the studio.

I went to the cafe.

"Hey Percy," Demeter said. "What can I do for you? You look like you need cereal."

"I just want my usual blueberry cocoa."

"Okay. You still should eat cereal. Let me get a small bowl of Wheat Chex for you."

"You don't have to-"

"On the house. I heard that you had to deal with 'Pain! Agony Torture Death'. I don't like you all that much, yet-"

"Gee, thanks."

"But I always give cereal to those who have to deal with them. Travis and Connor got a large portion. Can't say I like them either, especially Travis, but it's a promise I made to Apollo. Those who deal with that group automatically get cereal." She turned her head in the direction of the brothers and then yelled, "Katie! Stop talking to them! They're good for nothing idiots and they din't deserve your attention!"

"I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said about us, Demeter. Thank you!" One brother yelled. Demeter frowned at the boy.

"Here's your cereal and blueberry cocoa," a girl said. Her nametag read Miranda.

"Thank you."

I took it and sat down. A few minutes later, I heard a voice.

"Hey, stranger," a red-haired girl, who was in fact, not a stranger said happily. "Mind if I sit?"

"Sure, Rach."

"Thanks." She looked at me. "What's got you so sad?"

"Nothing at all."

"You sure?"

"Yep. I'm fine."

"Okay." She took the hint and dropped it. "Save me a seat while I go get my coffee."

"Alright." As soon as she returned, we started talking and laughing. I was so caught up in the conversation that I didn't notice the curly-blonde haired girl standing in the doorway of the cafe, watching with disappointment on her face.
