This school wasn't all that bad. Well, okay I take that back it was bad. Real bad. I mean people were so close to me. It smelled, like cologne, perfume, sweat, and something else I wish to not identify. The halls were so full, just a glance of it would make a claustrophobic person die.

"C'mon Delilah we gotta get you to the office." Bobby had pulled me outta my trance. I guess I was just staring at the hallway. He pulled my arm away from the hall and towards the office.

"Where'd Dinger go?" I asked as we got to the door.

"I don't know he said something about telling Shelley something."

"About Shelley is she like-" I was cut off by the blonde, Shelley.

"His girlfriend? Yeah I'm his girlfriend." She said and pulled my cousin to her side and away from me.

"Yeah, but I don't think you get the picture here. He's my cousin." I said pulling Bobby back to me. Before she could say anything Bobby opened the office door and pulled me in.

"Okay, first off I don't really like Shelley anymore." He said as we got to the front desk.

"Then why the hell are you going out with her?" I asked.

"Name?" An older plump looking woman asked. Her makeup was ok, well better than half the girls I had seen today in school.

"Delilah Waters." I said turning back to Bobby as she rummaged through the filing cabinet next to her.

"Uh, there are no Delilah Water's here." She said looking up at me curiously.

"What?" I said, this was weird.

"Yeah only a Delilah Keller." She looked at me from her glasses.

"Oh Damn I forgot they registered me under my real last name. Crap. Okay that's me. Delilah Rose Waters Keller." I said. I had completely forgot about it. I'm so use to using my mother's last name.

"I don't know, I'm thinking off breaking it off." He said messing with his belt buckle. (I noticed in the movie that Bobby tends to mess with his belt buckle when he's nervous or thinking)

"What, what about that Laine chick. Anything going on?" I asked. All of a sudden I heard it. A response. But it wasn't my voice. So it couldn't be from my head. I blew it off. Probably the voices outside the hall. But no one was in sight.

"Oh, her? She's Joel's." He said brushing past the whole question.

"It sure as heck didn't look like she was Joel's when y'all were gigling to each other. C'mon Bobby I'm your own flesh and blood. I ain't gonna tell anyone. You can trust me."

"Here you go Ms. Keller. Will you need any help with finding your classes?" The lady at the desk asked.

"No she's, got me." Bobby said sending the lady a reassuring smile. The lady nodded and went back to the computer. (This is 1989 I believe they had computers, but they were the box ones. Tell me if I'm wrong)

"That, that was nothing. I do that to all the girls." I do have to give my cousin credit. He may act and dress weird. But he was still a bit handsome. Not Rob Lowe handsome, he's a babe. Still handsome, he could be nice at times too. Like how he just opened the door for me.

"Yeah sure. Well I'm here if you need to talk about, 'Girl' stuff." I said making air quotes with my fingers when I said 'Girl'.

"Haha you're so funny. C'mon you got first hour with me." He pulled my arm down the hall and towards a room. We got in and everyone was looking at us. I just realized the bell hand rang. Shit.

"Aw Mr. Keller, so glad you could join us. And this is? Your girlfriend." Asked a man who looked to be in his late 40s early 50s.

"No this is my cousin. Delilah Keller." He handed the man my schedule.

"Aw yes, Ms. Hollywood." The man said. I rolled my eyes.

"I prefer Delilah, or in your case, None of." I said following Bobby to the back of the room.

"None of?" Asked the teacher.

"None of your business." At this the whole class laughed.

"Watch it Ms. Keller, I take it your not much different than Mr. Keller or Mr. Holfield." He glared at me and turned back to write something on the board.

I sat behind Bobby and just stared at the book in front of me not even interested in the lesson. Let alone the teacher.

The bell rang and we got up. I ran to my locker. Seeing we only 5 minutes between classes. I passed by Joel. I stopped, as he looked around to see if anyone was around. He didn't see me. But I saw him pull out a flask and quicking take a hit. He closed it and shut his locker. Walking away. He's an alcoholic. I knew there was something about him.

The bell rang informing school was over. I ran outside to see Bobby and Dinger waiting.

"C'mon Delilah let's go." Dinger yelled.

"Ok, ok I'm coming."

"So how was your first day?" Bobby asked. I had most classes with Bobby. Like one or two with Dinger.

"It was ok."

"Well at least you didn't meet Dumas." Bobby said.

"Yeah, schools are always full of Dumas's." Dinger chimed in.

"What's a Dumas?" I asked. It sounded like Dumbass.

"It's this kid, he's mentally and physically retarded." Bobby said. "Hopefully he won't see you. Or else."

"Yeah or else. Who knows how many girls he's raped." The boys laughed as I was petrified.

"Oh, it's a joke Lilah." Bobby patted my back.

"Oh, ok, if you say so." I was scared of this Dumas kid.
