22- chaos after chaos

Tubbo came down from the stage, starting the walk back to L'Manberg. They were interrupted by Techno drawing his sword and facing Tubbo.

"Techno, what are you doing?" Tommy spoke.

"I did not spend weeks," Techno yelled, "gathering supplies, getting you all gear just to replace one tyrant with another." Techno pointed his crossbow to Tubbo as commotion broke out.

Techno pulled the trigger, letting the rocket that had been loaded fly towards the brown-haired male. The rocket exploded into a burst of color and smoke. As the smoke cleared, revealing Tommy shielding the more petite boy, the rocket had landed just short of the two.

Techno had moved to a small area behind the crowd, and he stood behind two large 'T' formations made out of dark sand. Both had two pitch-black skulls placed carefully on top.

I stood wide-eyed, staring at the pink-haired man. There was no way he'd do it. Those formations were to summon Withers. People had to prepare for days, if not weeks, to fight just a single wither, and he's going to summon two?

"Do you want to be a hero Tommy?" Techno's voice cut off my thoughts. "Then die like one!" Techno yelled, placing two skulls, finishing the formations as they started to come to life.

As Techno jumped up the hill behind him, a blue glow surrounded them, shooting even more fireworks into the crowd. The two figures began to float off the ground.

"Get out of here before they get to full health!" someone shouted through the chaos. I took the warning and ran behind a part of the wall that still stood. Just as I got behind the pile of rubble, an explosion was heard, and a large gust of wind flew past me.

I peaked around the rubble to see two prominent withers beginning to fly around, looking for anything and everything that moved.

Techno's focus faltered for a second as he looked into the sky. I followed his gaze seeing a figure fly past the stage. I was violently reminded of the problem at hand when a black skull flew at me, hitting the ground right beside me. The skull exploded, sending me flying. I landed on the ground a few feet away as I started coughing violently.

This must be the wither effect so many talks about. An impact like a poisoning potion but even faster, my footing faltered as I stood, making me nearly fall again.

A loud gasping was heard coming from the two withers as they had both focused on me. I turned to run, running through L'Manberg grounds as the withers shot at me.

My running stopped as I heard a loud shriek come from one of the beasts. I turned back to see an arrow lodged into one of them and Tommy standing on a pile of rubble, bow in hand.

"Come on, let's go!" Tommy shouted, grabbing my arm and pulling me away. I was drawn into a crowd of people frantically running around. "We need a healing pot over here!" he shouted into the crowd letting go of my hand as I continued coughing.

Niki ran over to me, handing me a bottle filled with a pink liquid. I quickly downed the bottle and started to feel it work. The withers must have focused on some animals as it gave us enough time to get together and ready to fight them.

(Time skip because I can and don't feel like trying to write out this whole scene your fighting withers that's it ok)

We had almost killed the second wither, Techno was nowhere to be seen now, and Wilbur was still missing.

The final shriek was heard from the creature as it dissolved into dust. I fell to the ground in exhaustion as I quickly followed by Tommy sitting beside me on a hill overlooking L'Manberg. We both looked out over the land of L'Manberg. It was littered with holes now, and dirt was kicked up in certain places, but it was nothing compared to the time Dream blew it up.

"We did it," Tommy mumbled beside me, "L'Manberg is ours again."

Suddenly a rumble was heard beneath the ground. Tommy and I stood up instantly, feeling the ground beneath us shake as a single explosion went off in the center of the land. Our eyes widened before many more bursts followed it.

"NO!" Tommy shouted.

The explosions stopped, letting the dust settle. It revealed Wilbur and a winged figure standing in a small room under what used to be the stage. Wilbur handed the figure his sword saying something and motioning out to the land.

"He did it," I mumbled, looking out at the land that was now destroyed. Tiny drops of rain started to fall onto the ground.

Suddenly the figure plunged the sword into Wilbur's chest, and he fell to the ground holding Wilbur's body, two enormous wings wrapped around them.

I was silent.

"Wilbur," I silently spoke to myself, falling to my knees.

My country, family, and friends had all been taken from me right in front of my eyes.

And I couldn't have done anything about it.
