Leoni stood proud next to Indra as they led their warriors to camp jaha, an event Leoni wasn't sure would ever take place!

"i'm not sure this is a good idea" Indra muttered. Leoni glanced at her mentor. She took in her stiffness and how on guard the woman was

"it has to be or we'll never get our people back" Leoni replied lowly

"but you see Leok your father is in there you're almost guaranteed safety!"

"my father isn't too happy with me just now" Leoni laughed at the irony

"because you are one of us"

"precisely, and don't doubt that i'll always be one of you because you are one of me! they might be my blood but you and the warriors that have followed us today no questions asked, who give their respect and lives for our way of life, these are my people and if i see sky people as a threat to that so help me Becca they will never see the light of day again"

"that means a lot Leok" Indra nodded in thanks

"besides what do they have? guns? only for so long! the combat we have is forever" Leoni winked as they slowed when the gates came into sight

"my friends!" Kane greeted with a smile Leoni found unnecessary. i mean what was he a yoga instructor?

"Kane" Indra greeted gruffly

"please, leave your weapons here and come in." Kane ordered a certain finality to his voice

"Dad-" Leoni tried to argue but Kane could read his daughter like a book

"yes Leoni it is necessary"

"but-"

"no one is going to attack you" Kane sighed and Leoni huffed before reluctantly laying down her different blades. the rest of the warriors followed her actions. Leoni went to walk into the camp but Kane stopped her
"the dagger Leoni" he gave her that parenty look she'd only ever received from Kidra

"i don't know what you're talking about" Leoni lied and Indra stood at her side

"the dagger in your boot i saw you show it to Raven at Tondc leave it here"

"do you know who you're talking to" Indra growled pushing Leoni back protectively

"i'm talking to my daughter" Kane taught back
"Leoni lay down the dagger!" Leoni moved her foot to feel Kidra's dagger. she had never been without it since the day Kidra had given it to her

"you are talking to our Haiplana! if you disrespect her this whole truce is over" Indra snapped

"we are not armed and you shouldn't be either" Kane tried to reason

"we weren't the ones begging for an alliance" another grounder spoke up now at Leoni's other side

"ok ok ok" Leoni spoke up raising her hands for everyone to calm down
"Dad can you come here a second" Leoni pulled her father to the side and spoke to him quietly
"the dagger is em...real important to me! i literally haven't been without it since i was 13" Leoni explained to her father quietly

"i'm not letting anyone in there armed you know how fragile this situation is we don't need another Tondc situation" Kane argued. Leoni was taken aback by the sting in his voice

"i understand that but i'm not putting it in a big pile will you..." Leoni contemplated the trustworthiness of her father
"will you just keep it for me?" she asked embarrassed

"Leoni-"

"Dad i'm asking you to take care of something that means more than the world to be if that's not a peace offering i don't know what is! i'm not putting it in that pile it's too important!" Leoni said impatiently

"why is it so important?"

"Mu- my commander gave it to me...the one before Lexa" Leoni cursed herself for nearly calling Kidra Mum in front of her father

"did you just call her Mum?" Kane asked stepping back

"no no no just please game the dagger then i'm weapon less and we can all go in!" Leoni pleaded

"your mother is dead" Kane spat but he was clearly hurt
"whatever grounder gave you a knife and taught you how to kill people is not your mum. i've had enough of this keep the goddamn dagger i don't care" he stormed off but then stopped giving Leoni one last look
"you are not the daughter i raised" that pissed Leoni off

"No Daddy! i'm not! because you didn't raise me! 5 years of stories and star wars does not constitute as raising me! you were barely even there! stop pretending that i've changed because i was a kid! there was nothing to change!" Leoni snapped back
"if you want this alliance to stick you'll learn that! and you'll learn it well" she finished and walked into the camp pushing past the guards and grounders that tried to stop her albeit for different reasons

when the grounders entered the camp Kane had them all gather around while he gave a speech. Leoni spotted Murphy in the crowd, knowing he was a trigger to this whole thing collapsing she went to stand by him

"Your highness" Murphy greeted smugly

"weasel" she responded just as smug

"don't tell me you're actually happy about this?" he asked

"if it means getting my people back then i'll tolerate it! to be honest i don't see why we need to gather and hold hands like a cult" she admits

"hmm" Murphy mused then shouting could be heard from the crowd. a grounder Leoni recognised as Penn was accusing Murphy of the same crimes Finn had died for

"I'm sorry i don't speak grounder" Murphy mocked going to step towards him. Leoni held up a hand to hold the boy back. Murphy shrugged past the girl and both Penn and Murphy were up in each others faces

"Murphy stand down!" Kane ordered sternly but Leoni noticed how Penn was going at it too

"Penn, the massacre has been paid for, this man is punished by his own guilt stand down now!" Leoni growled and at once Penn stood down. Leoni glanced to her father who stood starstruck.

"you will burn like your friend" Penn muttered and Murphy threw a punch across his face causing everyone to start fighting.

"men" Leoni groaned as she stood up high and held up a single fist. every single one of the grounders noticed and froze on the spot then Skaikru soon followed suit
"I WARNED YOU AT TONDC THAT IF ANYONE COMES BETWEEN THIS ALLIANCE THEY WILL PAY IN BLOOD. WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?" she roared towards every single person in the camp
"BACK THE HELL OFF BEFORE I START DISHING OUT DEATH" the girl sneered. she glared at everyone before standing down and nodding to her father
"continue" she smiled sweetly returning to her spot beside Murphy this time everyone's eyes on her
"PAY ATTENTION" Leoni ordered and everyone's eyes diverted back to Kane.

"i em...i just wanted to say welcome" Kane said as strongly as he could and the crowd evaporated. the grounders followed Indra's orders and began their training. Leoni around the fighters her hands behind her back observing her people. every now and again she stopped to correct a stance or give advice

"here" she stopped at a woman
"by standing front on you leave yourself further to turn" Leoni moved the woman to face sideways
"now you're more flexible" she nodded and stood back
"continue!" Leoni watched the fight for a second. she glanced over to the sky people firing guns. intrigued she walked over beside Penn and some other grounders watching as bullet after bullet came firing. Kane noticed his daughter watching

"we can teach you if you like?" he offered and Indra intervened

"we don't need your weapons" the woman sneered

"I'll have a go!" Leoni said at the same time

"Haiplana-"

"The legend is if I touch a gun mount weather will destroy my village. But now we're destroying them! They can't touch us" Leoni took a step forward but Indra yanked her back

"They have not been taken out yet we are still in danger" Indra told the girl sternly

"Come now Indra we all tell our kids stories to keep them safe! No harm will come to you or your people especially if you know how to work a gun" Kane walked over to the pair laying a hand on his daughters shoulder. This love bipolar thing was really getting on the girls nerves now

"I am under orders to protect Leok with my life!"

"And this is only helping you"

"You may be her father but we're her family! She's train with us, like us!"

"You can all have a go!"

"Ok this custody battle is real cute but I think I can make my own mind up!" Leoni spoke up
"Indra's right...I'm sorry Dad but I was shot! I think I'll stick to my sword" she offered her father a tight lipped smile before walking away
