Café [2] - Sebastian Stan

Sebastian took his order and sat at a table in the corner of the café. You sighed and started to take off your apron.

Jasmin's apartment wasn't a far walk from the café and even if it was, you would go for Claire.

You grabbed your crossover and walked around the counter, waiting for Jasmin to see you. Once she saw you, she nodded and mouthed a 'See you later'. You smiled and nodded at her. Turning on your heels and smiling at some regulars, you ended up on the sidewalk, outside the café.

You were just about to cross the street when someone called your name from behind. You looked back to see a disheveled Sebastian. Your shocked and amused face made him chuckle.

"I was wondering if I could walk you?" You gave him a questioning look. "Look, I know it's weird and all because we just met, not even, but I want to get to know you. I get it if you don't, but---"

"Alright," you cut him off from his ramble. "You can walk me." His face broke out into a smile as he walked to your side. You smiled and started the conversation.

But by the time you were at the apartment, the walk seemed too short so you invited him. He was reluctant at first, saying he didn't want to be a bother, but you insisted. He and Claire got along very well. She didn't want him to leave after their time together. You could only watch him promise to visit her soon. And you too.

He kept his promise. He came to the café again, just to see you. You and him went on several dates. He asked you to be his girlfriend on a surprise date. It was perfect for you.

You agreed immediately.

From that day on, you and him rarely were separated. You two shared everything about your own lives.

He told you about his mother, Romania, him settling here, his anxiety, his exes, and his career. You told him about your family, your past jobs, your schooling, and your past relationships.

You left the part about you being a billionaire out because you didn't want him to be with you for the money. You doubted he was. So naturally, you thought that he wouldn't care if you were broke or a billionaire.

**Time Skip ~brought to you by Seb's steel(ing hearts) blue eyes~**

"Hey," you said tiredly, looking into the blue eyes that became your favourite colour in little time. You had just gotten back from your new job---which you hated---and saw Sebastian on the couch, waiting for you. You were sitting in the coffee table, in front of him.

You expected him to come forward and drag you to him to hug you like he always would, but he didn't. He didn't even look at you.
He was, but it was like he was looking through you. Staring behind you, deep in thought.

"Something wrong, Seb?" You asked carefully. He shook his head slowly.

"I'm fine," he breathed out. "I'll be fine." Your eyebrows furrowed and your face was laced with concern.

"Seb," you said softly, "what's wrong? What happen?" He slowly moved his gaze up to your eyes.

"You're a billionaire," he said in a quiet voice. "Why didn't you tell me?" You felt like your whole world was going to come crumbling down. Your heart started to hammer against your chest. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing would come out. Your hands became sweaty and started to shake. Sebastian grabbed your hands gently and pleaded, "Tell me. I'm not mad, I still love you. I'm just a bit disappointed." Your breathing became shaky and rapid. Sebastian pulled you into a hug, whispering soothing nonsense into your ear.

A few minutes later your voice came out quiet.

"I didn't want you to be with me for money. I didn't want anyone with me for money. I chose to move away from family because I didn't want them to love me for money. I've had people with me for money. Every time I think I've found some who loves me for me, I end up hurt. But you didn't know. You loved me for who I was. And I know I haven't said it, but I love you too."

Sickening silence rang in your ears. Your hands grabbed a fistful on Sebastian's shirt before you started sobbing.

Sebastian held onto you. He didn't let you go. Not ever was he going to. In the past few months, he was practically in heaven. He promised you never to let you go, never to leave you, never to abandon you. You believed him and that was the first time you didn't doubt love.
