I WAS WAITING FOR THE CARRIAGE TO ARRIVE, BUT IT WAS taking so awfully long, that if I just start walking I might get to the castle before midnight. I was looking at my watch and it was almost 10 pm. I'm going home awfully early today, I thought and I let out a big sight.

Twenty minutes past and the carriage was nowhere to be seen. And what I decided to do? I decided to walk back to the castle. I lift my dress off the ground and I started walking down the king big dark alley. The castle wasn't too far away, but there might be so thieves and poison sealers. I wasn't scared tho, I know how to defend myself, if something happens.

My steps were slow, because my shoes were very uncomfortable and if I take them off I might hurt my feet. So I decided to not risk it and just take a walk. The weather was chilly, but not too cold. If my body wasn't warmed by all the dancing I won't even feel the coldness around me. I cover my shoulders with my cloak and I made sure to put my hood on too.

I could see the lights of the castle, but I knew I had a a lot more till I reach it. I looked so close, while I was riding the carriage. Well, I wasn't smart enough to think about it before I go on my own. Nicely done, Eleanor.

I couldn't stop thinking about Riftan too. What if he gets worried about me? Was I a little bit too impulsive, should've I just stepped to the side and wait for him? It's too late for regrets now. I gotta finish the path on my own.

"Hey, you!", I heard a shouting coming from the woods around me. I stopped at one place and I put my hands to my chest. My heart was beating fast and i couldn't breath. Oh no.

It was a male voice..and it didn't sound very friendly to me. I hear movement coming from the bushes and next thing I know there are four man right in front of me. They were tall and very muscular. Their clothes were dirty and their hairs long. It was obvious they were part of the streets, I know them when I see them.

I wanted to run, but my legs were frozen. I was too scared to move. One of them, I think his hair was blond, but I couldn't really see in the dark, walk up to me and grabbed me by my right wrist. He lifts my arm up and comes right in my face.

"Don't you know you shouldn't be here? Are you trying to steal our gold?", he spoke right in my face and his hot breath hits my face. I don't say anything, I didn't want to angry them, "hey, can't you hear me? Are you deaf?".

Once again I don't give him and answer and the man twisted my wrist. I squeal out of pain and he pushes me on the ground. I fell down and my hood fell too, so my face was exposed to them. The four man hover around me and they all look at me like I was a piece of meat.

"Look at that", the blond one, who pushed me on the ground smiled so devilishly and he bends down cupping my face, "looks like we have a lady out here. Why are you alone at this hour, aren't you afraid of thieves?", he asked.

He caught me by the neck and made me stand up, then he pulls me closer to him and smells my hair. His fingers travelling from my neck to my chest and back.

"A woman should not be here all by herself, but don't worry..we won't make you regret it", he laughed behind me and pulled out a knife from his pocket. He put the knife to my neck and I squeezed my eyes out of fear. The knife moves and I feel the cold breeze hitting my body.

He ripped my dress to pieces exposing my bare body in front of him and the other three man, they all started to rub their penises through their pants. Oh no, I'm about to get raped. I thought to myself and I started praying to God to help me once again.

The blond man picks me up and puts me next to the closest tree, he pushes my head on the three and spreads my legs wide, then I hear him licking his fingers and they touched my private parts. I sobbed and tried to fight, but it was no point. He was stronger.

Suddenly I hear a horse running to us. The man, who was behind me turns to the side and the only think I see is the tip of a sword. His grip on my head was gone and I was finally able to move. I turn around and I see him, Riftan Calypse on his horse with his sword in his right hand. He was looking at me.

"Who did this to you?", Riftan asks me, his voice was low, which means he was very mad at that moment. I pointed at the rest of my attackers and he looks directly at them.

The guys started running around like scared children, but Riftan and his horse were faster than then. Riftan only raised his sword once and he cut their heads with only one move. After he was done he got off the horse and he stood there looking at me. I didn't know what do to, so I just ran up to him and I threw myself in his arms. I started crying and he wrapped his arms around me.

"It's okay now..you're okay now", he comforted me and gently held me in his arms. He only let go to take off his cloak and then he put it around my body to cover me up, "let's go back to the castle. We are going home tomorrow".

He helps me to get on his horse and I hold on tight while he gave a command to the horse to start running. I closed my eyes as I was clinging on him and Riftan held me with one hand.

When we reached the castle Riftan picked me bride style and brought me inside. All the maids gathered around me and Riftan ordered them to bring hot water and something to clean my wounds. He opens the door to our bedroom and puts me on the bed. The maid, that takes care of us came immediately and cleaned my wounds as fast as she can.

After I was fixed and everything was okay, this was the opportunity Riftan was looking for to scold me again. I sat on the bed and he sat next to me. I didn't dare to look him in the eye.

"How can you go alone? Do you know how dangerous is for a woman to walk alone at night? In foreign kingdom?", he began to ask me many questions, "what, if I didn't made it on time? They could've raped you, Eleanor".

"I know, Riftan..I know", I said.

"Then why did you do it?", he raised his voice at me for the first time ever and I felt chills down on my skin, "I thought you're a smart woman, Eleanor, why are you so reckless. You can never be as strong as a man!".

"Why do you care so much anyway?", I stood up and I shouted at him back. I can stand up for myself too, I don't care, that's he's my lord, "you've been acting cold towards me the whole day and now you're so protective. Well, thank you so much for your generosity and kindness, my Lord, I feel so lucky", I roll my eyes.

"Don't talk to me like that, Eleanor", Riftan stood up and pointed his fingers at me, he walked up to me and stood right there with his scary eyes on me.

"Or what? You're going to throw me back on the streets? What are you going to do?".

Suddenly Riftan grabbed my face roughly and pulled me to him. He leans down and my lips were on his. He kissed me.
