Chapter twenty

JJ's Pov:

"Can you at least give me a clue on what we're going to do today?" Emily said, walking out of the guest room, following me towards the kitchen.

"Yes, but you'll get that clue once you get dressed and showerd," I said, smiling while putting the try and dishes in the sink.

"You're no fun." Emily said, walking off.

"You won't think that after today!!" I yelled while washing dishes.

----

Emily's Pov:

Jennifer told me to get showered and dressed. She didn't tell me what to wear, so I'm guessing it's the stuff I wear regularly.

I showered, and now it was time to choose an outfit.

I decided on this red tank, black pants, and my everyday work boots.

I walked out of the guest room. I didn't see Jennifer, but I heard the shower running in her room.

I sat on the couch, waiting for her to come out.

----

JJ's Pov:

Since Emily takes so longggggggg to take a shower, I decided to take one as well.

While in the shower, I realized I didn't give Emily the dress code.

I mean, we're just going shopping for a dress for tonight.

I got out of the shower and tried a few outfits out. I decided on this dark green shirt that has these gold buttons, so I can choose how I want to wear it. I unbuttoned the first few buttons so it can look like a v-neck top, I also wore these black pants with boots.

I came out of my bedroom to see Emily sitting on the couch wearing this red tank top, black pants, and boots.

I can see Emily in this outfit for the rest of my life.

"H-hey, are you ready to go?" I asked, scratching my head.

"Yes, you?" Emily said.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go." I said, waving my hand for her to come.

----

"Where are we going?" Emily asked.

"Mall." I said.

"Seriously? I hate malls." Emily said, complaining.

"Oh, get over it. We're only going to be there for an hour or two." I said.

"Knowing you, we'll probably be there all day."

"Shut up."

Emily started laughing.

----

"Alright, we are heading to a dress store." I said, pointing towards the direction of the dress store.

"Dress? I already have some." Emily said.

"A new dress won't hurt. Plus, knowing your rich background, you probably only have fancy dresses, and this surprise is more of a casual/fancy type of thing." I said.

"Rich background?" Emily said, ignoring what I just said, only paying attention to that part of the conversation.

"Your mom's the ambassador." I said

"Let's head to the store."

When we arrived there were a lot of fancy dresses. This is going to be hard.

"Is there anything I can help you ladies with?" A brunette woman asked.

"Yes, where are your more casual dresses?" I said.

"They're at the back, right corner of the store." The lady said, pointing towards the right back corner.

"This one's cute." I said, grabbing a black dress.

"It is." Emily said.

"Try it on." I said, putting the dress in front of Emily, making my hand touch her upper chest.

"I'm sorry." I said, trying not to blush.

"Y-Your fine." Emily said, stuttering.

She grabbed the dress and ran towards the fitting rooms.

"You need at least two more dresses to try on Emily!" I yelled.

"Pick them out for me!" She yelled back.

Luckily, we weren't far from each other, so no one really heard us yell besides this one woman.

She seemed familiar, but I didn't feel like making conversation with people.

I ended up choosing Emily, two more dresses, a white one, and a light pink one.

"Emily, I got your other two dresses." I said, standing in front of her dressing room door.

The door opened, and there stood Emilia.

"Wow." I said, looking Emily up and down.

"Say something other than 'wow,' please. I don't know if I like it or not." Emily said, turning back around towards the mirror.

The dress brought out her figure a lot more. It was a black silky dress. It also had noddle straps and came down to the top of her knees.

"I-It looks good." I said.

"That sttuter made it sound like you were just saying that to be nice." Emily said, pointing at me.

"No, you just look really pretty." I said.

"She's right, you know Emily." A girl said from the back of me.

----

Emily's Pov:

"She's right, you know Emily." I heard a familiar voice say.

I moved to see who was standing behind Jennifer, and it was Jess.

Crap.

I totally forgot about her and our "date."

"Jess. Hi." I said, stunned.

"You don't write, you don't call." Jess said with a smile.

"Crap. Yeah, I forgot. I'm sorry." I said.

"It's been a rough past couple of weeks with the job and everything." I said, making up an excuse. It's not really an excuse if it's true..somewhat.

"It must have been a tough few weeks if you're out here shopping." She said, pointing at the clothes in Jennifer's hand.

"It's her birthday dipshit." Jennifer said.

My jaw dropped. Jennifer isn't the type of person to talk back to people she just met, besides at work. She's the shy type. You know the type of person to not say anything.

"I'm sorry, who the hell are you?" Jess said.

"Jennifer, Agent Jennifer Jareau." Jennifer said, moving towards Jess.

----
Jessica's Pov:

"You need at least two more dresses to try on, Emily!" I heard a voice say.

I turned to see if it was my Emily.

Emily hasn't called me since our date a couple of weeks ago.

Not text, no call, nothing.

I turned around but all I saw was a blonde and a woman entering the dressing room.

I brushed it off, thinking it was just another Emily and not my Emily.

I mean, there is a million Emily's in this world. I'm probably just wanting to see Emily, so I think every Emily I hear someone say is my Emily.

A few momments go by, and I'm still looking at dresses when I hear the blonde woman from earlier sttuter.

I went to see why she was stuttering just to see if it really was my Emily who was here.

And that's when I saw her.

My Emily. The one who never texted me back after our wonderful date.

"The sttuter made it sound like you're juar saying that to be nice." Emily said, which could be true.

"No, you look really pretty." The blonde said.

My blood started boiling.

Why would Emily want an ugly blondie than me?

"You know she's right, Emily." I said, joining the conversation.

That's when I saw Emily move so she could see me better.

Luckily, I looked good today.

"You don't write, you don't call." I said with a smile, trying to hide the pain I had from Emily ditching me for some ugly blonde.

The blonde then turned around.

It was that girl from the cafe.

Emily is seriously going out with that bitch? She's the most rudest and ignorant person ever. She had the most bitchy additude when I was getting her order.

"It's been a rough past couple of weeks with the job and everything."
Emily said over the years of us being together, I was never able to figure out if Emily was lying or not, and this was one of those momments.

"It must have been a tough few weeks if you're out here shopping." I said, pointing at the clothes in the blondes' hands. My anger was starting to show that I was no longer able to control it.

It was obvious Emily was just ghosting me.

My anger spiked up more after the blonde spoke up for Emily.

"It's her birthday dipshit." She said.

Dipshit? Seriously? Why would Emily go out with someone who calls her friends 'dipshit.'

"I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked, completely annoyed and angry.

"Jennifer, Agent Jennifer Jareau." The bitch said.

Who names their kid Jennifer? It's the most horrible name ever.

Jennifer was so close to me I can smell her perfume she also close enough for me to slap the fuck out of her.

"Well, Jennifer, this is none of your business, so stay out of it." I said, looking down and going closer to her face.

"Well, Jessica, it is my business if you come here interrupting our evening. It's also my business if you give my friend additude for no absolute fucking reason." She said mocking the way I went off on her.

"Ok, alright! Looks like you guys got to me each other, not in the way yall both planned on meeting each other." Emily said, interrupting us by getting in the middle and grabbing Jennifer's hand to make her step back behind her.

That made me lose my mind.

I went to grab Jennifer's hand to break it, but she must've seen me because she grabbed my arm and flipped me over her to drop me on the floor.

The air in my lungs was no longer in my system.

The worker must've heard something because she came running.

"FBI, everything is fine. She's just someone we've been monitoring for months." Jennifer said, showing her badge.

This bitch. She just got away with something she could've easily got arrested with, but I couldn't say anything to defend myself since she took the air out of my lungs.

"Next time you try and beat someone up, make sure they don't work in the FBI." Jennifer said, whispering in my ear.

"Oh, by the way. Emilia, you should definitely buy that dress it looks amazing on you." Jennifer said, giving Emily a smile.
