Chapter 4
It's just dinner, what about it?

It has been a few weeks since her arrival, for the first two days she was dead silent, Tomo tried to converse to her by asking her to help him over the most simplest things, until she was slowly able to respond with an "okay" instead of a nod, and just so Y/n was slowly finding herself comfortable talking to him in such a short time however she never let her guard down.

She is still pretty skeptical about him and still has a really bad feeling being around him despite that she acknowledges the fact that she knows he respects her space.

"Considering the fact that you have a hydro vision, i expect you to be wise in combat" Tomo sips his tea as he reads the new issues in Inazuma on the newspaper. Y/n sat across him with the hot tea presented infront of her and placed on the table.

"I am not that capable of handling one on combats" Y/n replied as she clutches onto her vision, unable to make eye contact with the man before him.

"Then show me what you can do, right here and right now" He placed the tea cup down along with the newspaper and fixed his sitting posture as he crosses his arms.

Y/n nonchalantly splashes the hot tea on him, specifically on the face,  "You—?!what in Electro Archons name—"

She pulled him by the scarf and cups his still burning hot face from the tea.

"I can heal, especially when through touch" she whispers, a small water bird appears beside Y/n, bubbles comes up from the ground, Tomo's hot burning face was slowly feeling so much better.

"If it means to let me go then i must assist you in battle, even though forced" Y/n sits back.
Tomo clicked his tongue and continued to read the newspaper, "I thought you don't want to go back? Or is it because you feel like you're a prisoner- hey, I've been the one doing all of the chores, cooking, and brewing of tea so it shouldn't be that, if ever you should feel like you're living in luxury despite being held captive" he rambled.

"What? No! i just feel uncomfortable living with a man i barely even know!" Y/n exclaims as she accidentally hits her knee under.

Tomo gave her a poker face and sipped his tea, "Y/n, have you ever made yourself your own meal?" He asked.

Y/n was stunned, ashamed to say 'no' she looked down afraid to make eye contact, "Yes, of course i have"

He hummed in response, "Then cook dinner for tonight, i expect it to taste good, but if i learn that you lied then you know what will i happen"

Y/n was about to complain why when he just said she won't be doing any household things,  but chose to remain silent, Tomo continued, "You say that you're uncomfortable around me but you seem to be quite comfortable talking to me...why is that?"

"I'm interested into learning more about samurais, i know they, well, kill people for their masters but i'm interested in your type, the wanderers" Y/n smiled.

He rolled his eyes, "You're boring."

Y/n irked.

Tomo taps the tea cup with his index finger gently and took a deep breath, "you want to learn more about me huh..." he stood up and gets a heavy thick book from a shelf nearby and drops it on the table with a loud thud.

"A four hundred page book i compiled that is all about me" He had a mischievous look on his face.

"Four-hundred pages of what?! How much of a narcissist are you?" She exclaimed but Tomo just grew frustrated, "Every single thing about me- even some family secrets is written there, but i don't really think you'll even read it or reach the last page"

He fixed his posture and turned around, about to leave the house as he heads to the front sliding door, "Where are you going?" Y/n stood up.

"None of your business" He stopped, "Oh, if the food doesn't taste good tonight, i'm pretty sure you know what will happen" he then left.

Y/n sat back down, "He disappears so quickly- wait, if he's gone then i can send Kazuha a letter and tell him i'm alright, no...i can't get that letter delivered, that'll just expose my location, and that Akikaze kid will kill me"

'The only way for me to escape all of this is to travel to Watatsumi island and attempt to leave Inazuma as a whole to Sumeru, but i heard theres commotion happening there, especially regarding the fatui is everywhere too...'

She decided to explore the estate a little further, but stopped when she realized Tomo can trace her elemental energy throughout the place.

She looked back at the book on the tea table, "Fine, i'll give this a chance"

-
Y/n prepared the table with the food she prepared, waiting for Tomo to come back home. She was nervous on what was bound to happen once he dislikes the food.

Footsteps came, the closer it gets the louder, until it eventually stops, "Y/n" Tomo calls.

Y/n looks up from the table to see s horrific scene before her.
Although she couldnt help but feel bad that her captive came home clearly beaten up.

"Don't say 'what happened?!' or i'll- whatever" he sat down on the zaisu.

Tomo came home bruised and bleeding, he was covered in bandages that was unproperly wrapped.

He clasped his hands, "Thank you for the food".

He picked the food with a pair of chopsticks and carefully ate it. Y/n waits for the results as she uses her hydro vision to slowly heal him.

Tomo places his chopsticks down, "I don't feel like eating dinner tonight" he glares at Y/n who's beside him.

"At least be grateful!" She groans, but deep inside, she was scared. Who knows what he'll do to her just because the food didn't taste good.

Instead of giving her a scary look or sheathing his sword out and stab her, he just sighed.

"I'm tired, I'll have teach you how to cool properly tomorrow, so of course when we go out you'll have to aid me- not only with a soggy teyvat fried egg but with other food that is edible too" He stood up and walked through the long hallway to retreat back to his own quarters.

Y/n clenched her fists, offended that he thinks her healing abilities aren't good enough "Who does he think he is! Does he really need to rely on food to heal when i can just heal him directly?!"
