But, halfway through, Kiibo suddenly went limp, resting their head on Shuichi’s shoulder. Shuichi quickly noticed this and turned his head, to see that Kiibos eyes were slowly fading from black to orange. “Um, are you okay..?” Shuichi said, but there was no answer.

Shuichi stayed silent, looking down at the small person. He raised a hand and gently patted Kiibo's hair, it being softer than he initially thought. His hand shook as he gently removed their hat with his other hand.

Kiibo slowly woke up, to find Shuichi gently petting their head. They widened their eyes but stayed silent. They heard Shuichi's fast heartbeat, thumping in his chest. Kiibo's face blew up in crimson from the situation. "S-shuichi.." Kiibo muttered, pretending like they just woke up.

But, Kiibo didn't move from their spot. 

Shuichi widened his eyes and stopped petting them. "i-im-" "No, continue.." Kiibo interrupted. Kiibo felt safe in Shuichi's embrace for some reason. They never felt anything like this before.

"..." Shuichi continued, trying not to go red as well out of embarrassment. "Im sorry I woke you up.." 

“o-okay, I forgive you." Kiibo realized what they were doing and raised their head again, looking slightly flustered. 

Suddenly, Shuichi smiled and pulled them into his embrace again, wrapping his arms around them.

They hugged in the company of the white noise from the TV. Kiibo could hear Shuichi’s hard heartbeat in the silence, and that's when Kiibo realized something. Shuichi liked them, like a lot. It was kinda obvious from how much he flirted with them, but it went too fast. Kiibo felt bad for him. He has never had interaction with other people that was this intimate, so he immediately trusted them, and fell in love.

Kiibo didn't say anything. they weren't even sure if they could love, nor if they even had any erotic functions like that. Kiibo said they wanted to be as human as possible, so they might have some, but they have never tested any of them out since they didn't need one until they had a partner.

Kiibo felt themself going back into power-saving mode, but they tried to cancel it out, talking to Shuichi. “Shuichi, do you like me..? tell the truth, please..” Shuichi let go of Kiibo and stayed silent, looking guiltily at the floor. “...will you judge me?” Kiibo shook their head. “then...I think I do...I know we’ve only known each other for not even a day, but I never had interactions like this with other people.” Shuichi said seriously, looking back at Kiibo.

Kiibo expected that answer. They tried not to smile, but they couldn't help it. Shuichi smiled as well. “Your smile makes me happy, Kiibo..” Shuichi complimented them again. “Shuichi, I don't like you, but, if you can show me how loyal you are, then I will.” Kiibo made a deal with Shuichi, and he accepted.

Shuichi teared up. “T-thank you Kiibo..i.ill never forget this..”

They were so focused on each other that they didn't even notice that Danganronpa had ended 15 minutes ago, and now the news was on.
