Can we all get along? No? Oh, okay.

3rd Person POV (For now)
The video went dark and the silence was all too much.  Ashlyn could feel the hot tears running down her cheeks.  It was always hard.  She re watched that video dozens of times before and every time was just the same.  The burning pit of regret and sadness was ripped open every time.  Bruce and Tony were speechless.  They didn't expect such a violent beginning for her.  Tony merely thought she did dirty things and didn't want it getting out.  Bruce had thought she was just a hot tempered prodigy that didn't want to boast.  No, they did not expect this.  Bruce felt terrible.  After all, she had looked up to him from such a young age.  She had the audacity to even try to do the same experiment to herself.  Now, this girl that he, and even the other guy, grew a strong attraction to, had the same curse as him.  If not, worse.  Tony on the other hand never felt bad for anyone, not even Pepper.  This girl though, his employee, his 'little sister', was hurt in the worst way possible.  That stupid prick had to ruin her predictions, ruin her life.  He hoped he rotted in hell.
  Ashlyn's POV
"Stronger than the successor and nothing like the failure."  I croaked. The boys were startled out of their thoughts and turned towards me.  I cracked a small smile, "I got that tattooed onto my hip.  It reminds me at how chillingly correct I was.  It reminds me to keep my temper in check, even if I don't succeed.  I hope, that it reminds her of what she's done.  I feel her remorse.  I never.. I never thought she'd ever feel that way, but she does.  Somehow, she sees everything I do.  She's watched that video the same amount as I have.  Almost 145 times."
"Listen, Ashlyn,  I'm sorry.  I didn't even know this was so bad.  But I was telling Bruce earlier, that much gamma exposure should have killed you."  Tony said quietly.
"So you're saying she saved my life?  Sure.  Makes sense.  But she ruined it as well."  Tony began to talk again, but I kept going, "That video does not even begin to tell you how I felt during that time.  Not even Fury knows, but I need to talk this out.  I've killed.  Whether I was the other girl or myself.  That's how I got onto SHIELD's radar.  I killed out of agony and then killed out of anger.  When I awoke from her taking over my body for the first time, I was in so much pain.  My head was killing me, I was calling out his name, " Bruce looked down, "I had no idea of what was happening. But I knew the moment I blacked out, something happened from my doing.  All I remembered was getting so, so damn angry!  Anger rules my life now, she rules my life now.  I was so scared, in such despair.  There was nothing I could do.  And you wanna know something?"  I threw my hands up, "I'm still so scared.  I'm still in despair.  I hate my life.  No one could even make me happy.  Until Tony and Pepper, and now you Bruce.  But Bruce, I'm so much stronger than the other guy, even when I'm not the other girl.  I could hurt you.  I could ki-"  Bruce had walked right up to me with such determination, I couldn't speak.  Especially when he roughly grabbed my face towards him.
His eyes flashed a dangerous green as he spoke his next words," Anger rules my life too.  But it isn't something I let bother me any more.  I don't care.  I may have only known you for about a month, but you're the best thing to have happened to me since I've changed.  I don't care that you could kill me and quite frankly I don't care that you've killed, we can work it out."  With those words, he pulled my face towards his even more, bringing my lips to mold with his.  Being surprised was an understatement, but being happy... genuinely happy at those words, that put it right.
"I love ya, Red Eyes, Bruce man, but get a fucking room."  Tony groaned.  Making me laugh, while clutching onto Bruce.

Intermission:  Natasha and Loki
"Ah, no. But I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?"  Loki asks, trying to prowl into Agent Romanov's mind.
"Regime's fall everyday. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian, or I was."  She considered, thinking about it for a minute, then deciding to forget it.
"And what are you now?"  Loki questioned again.
"It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out."  Natasha explained.
"Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Drakoff's daughter? Sao Paulo? The hospital file? Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer. Pathetic! You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are a part of you, and they will never go away.
I won't barter Barton! Not until I make him kill you. Slowly, intimately, in every way he knows you fear. And then he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams I'll split his skull!"  Natasha had tears in her eyes as she turned away from him, not wanting to show him her tears, "This is my bargain, you mewling quim!"  Loki yelled in rage, breathing heavily.
   "You're a monster."  She sobbed.
"Oh, no. You brought the monsters."  He replied slyly.  Natasha stopped sobbing instantly, turning towards him.
"So, Banner and Gonzalez? That's your play?"  She asked, no signs of her ever crying.
   "What?"  Loki asked, incredulously.
"Loki means to unleash the Hulk and the other girl. Keep Banner and Gonzalez in the lab, I'm on my way. Set the door locked."  She turned looked at Loki, "Thank you, for your cooperation."

Back to story
"I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction."   Bruce asked Fury as soon as he walked into the lab.  All of the files of secrecy were downloaded and Stark was looking at them at the moment.
"Because of him.  And her."  Fury gestured to Thor and myself.  I was appalled. What did he mean.
   "Me?"  Thor and I asked.
"Last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge mass that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, out gunned.  Ashlyn went through an experiment because she was a 'fan girl'.  If a 16 year old girl is willing to do that to herself, who's to say there won't be more."  He scrutinized me through squinted eyes.
"Hey!  I was young and trained!"  I yelled, outraged.  Bruce put a hand on my shoulder, making me hold in my anger.
"My people want nothing but peace with your planet."  Thor argued.
"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled."  Fury exclaimed.
"Like you controlled the cube?"  I spat.
"You're work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war."  Thor explained.
    "A higher form?"  Bruce asked.
"You forced our hand. We had to come up with something."  Fury defended.  Like that is any argument.
"A nuclear deterrent, cause that always calms everything right down."  Tony said sarcastically.
"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?"  Fury snapped back.
"I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neck deep..." Steve began.
"Wait! Wait! Hold on! How is this now about me?"  Stark asked incredulously.
"I'm sorry, isn't everything?"  Steve sneered.
"You dare say that to him you old grandpa!"  I yelled.
"I thought humans were more evolved than this."  Thor said hotly.
"Excuse me, did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?"  Fury yelled.
"You speak of control, yet you court chaos."  Thor yelled back.
"It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're...we're a time-bomb."  Bruce said hotly. The anger was already with me, his was just beginning to come out.
"You need to step away."  Fury began sternly
"Why shouldn't they guy let off a little steam?"  Tony began.
"You know damn well why! Back off!"  Captain yelled, finally cursing out of frustration.
"Oh, I'm starting to want you to make me."  Tony said confidently.
"Can we all get along?"  I asked exasperatedly, "No?  Oh, okay..."  Bruce and Thor chuckled a bit.
"Yeah, big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?"
"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist."  Tony said, making me laugh loudly.  Fury sent me a look that caused me to stop immediately.
"I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you."  Captain said heatedly.
"I think I would just cut the wire."  Tony replied.
"Always a way out. You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero." Steve demanded.
"A hero, like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle."  Tony said in a sardonic voice.  What was that?  I thought dimly as I heard a new sound. Like a new aircraft.  Odd. My head turned towards the window, dimly listening.
"In case you needed to kill me, but you can't! I know, I tried. I got low, I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out. So I moved on, I focused on helping other people. I was good until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk. You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff?"  Bruce was inching towards me, towards the scepter.  I faintly saw him in the corner of my eye, grab the scepter out of anger, "You wanna know how I stay calm?"
"Dr. Banner, put down the scepter."  Bruce seemed to have no idea he was gripping the scepter and put it down.  I didn't even come out of my trance when the trace for the tesseract went off.  Something was wrong.  I could feel it, she could hear it.
"Sorry, kids. You don't get to see my party trick after all.He stopped talking and walked quickly over to me, "Oh, my God!"  SWOOSH!  There!  She did hear it!  She was right!  An arrow.
"Barton is here!"  I screamed as I shielded my face.  BOOM!  And I was flung in the air.
