YG recently revealed the youngest member of BLACKPINK was ready to let the world know her fandom name.

Last night, the idol made a live on the VLIVE for her fans and amazed everyone with her fandom name and the meaning of it.

The fandom name is revealed to be MATES.

The idol explained the meaning:

"I feel like my fans are like pieces of me, I need them to live and stay strong, I work hard for them and I know they also support me so much. MATES is a name I wasn't sure people would've liked, but this is how I want to call you(fans), you're not just someone to me, you're like my mates, my other half, which I wouldn't be able to live without. I hope you like this name as much as I do, because it's really important to me."

Fans left supportive comments about the fandom name and the idol warmed their hearts with her meaningful words.
