"The Shining?" 

"Fuck yeah." 

It was a movie you'd both seen before but hell, Halloween was coming up, and you and your boyfriend were both more than ready to celebrate the gore.

More than you already did, anyways. 

The snacks were already on the table in front of you both, ready to be devoured by the two of you.

"Check this out," Ricky said, stuffing his mouth with popcorn before moving behind the couch.

You watched him with curiosity.

He hid for a couple seconds before popping up, his hair mostly in his face as he screamed.

"Here's Ricky!"

He mimicked the famous "Here's Johnny" line from the movie.

You laughed, "Oh shit!"

He stood up, acting as if he were crazy, and about to attack.

"Don't fucking stab me please!" You screamed while laughing .

Eventually, he broke out in laughter, too, falling into the couch.

"Dork." You laughed, pressing play on the movie.

He laughed, throwing an arm around you and giving you a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I like the book better, I think." You said, putting a cheeto puff in your mouth.

" I don't remember reading it. " Ricky says, scratching his head.

"Were there differences?" He asks you.

"Well yeah, movies are always different from the books. But it wasn't bad." You replied.

" Ah. " He nodded, taking a sip of his cola.

Just then, a knock sounded on the front door.

You and Ricky looked at each other, not knowing who it could be.

As of the person in the other side could read your minds, a voice called out;

"Its Chris!"

You both looked at the door, then back at each other.

"Are you thinking..." You began, evil crossing your features.

" What I'm thinking? " Ricky finished.

And then, as if you were evil twins, you spoke simultaneously.

"Lets scare him."

Very quickly you two devised a plan to scare Chris. You turned off the lights in the hallway, and one of you stood behind the door, and the other stood just out of sight around the corner.

You unlocked the door, and it opened slowly.

"Guys?" Chris said aloud.

Just as he stepped in, Ricky jumped out and screamed, causing Chris to jump backwards, but as he did, you grabbed him from behind, and let out an evil shriek, that made Chris scream like a girl.

You and Ricky laughed hard as Chris turned on the light.

"You guys suck!" He shouted, letting out a chuckle as he calmed down.

" but you swallow! " You said, raising your eyebrow as you laughed.

He looked at you, rolling his eyes.

"Only on a good day."

You and Ricky looked at each other with wide eyes before laughing again.

Chris shook his head as he watched you two laugh next to one another.

"You two are too perfect. You guys are dangerous." He laughed , walking into your kitchen to grab something to drink.

You and Ricky laughed for a few minutes more.

You really were quite the combo.
