NOTE: This is a gender AND character neutral story. Meaning, this story is for every(and any) character. You can imagine any character you admire. This story is really close to my heart and I hope you enjoy it.

"Y/n? Y/n? Open the door. The guests are here, honey." your aunt stressed for the third time in the past hour.

It was the day of your wedding. Well, forceful wedding I should say.

You were 24 years old, working as a medical intern in the city hospital. You completed your medical degree last year and gave the exam for further education but failed, so you were forced to join internship in the hospital while you dropped out of college to try again next year. It wasn't that you were bad in studies, but you weren't too good either.

Your father was forcing you to get married to a person you didn't even know. He was a millionare already by the age of 26. His name had been featured in the Forbes magazine time and time again. But you never bothered to look at it. I mean, what's the point?

'He is a very good man, y/n. Trust me, you'll be thanking me later' was what your father proposed every now and then, but you just weren't ready for marriage. For god sakes you had your whole life in front of you and an entire carrier to build, you can't afford to get married before 53!(//slapped). And on top of that you were asked to marry a man who is totally unknown to you. This was truly unacceptable.

You had made up your mind *evil giggling*.

You're doing it.

Running away

You looked at yourself in the mirror. Wearing whatever you have right now and hair done . You looked absolutely breathtaking. But this is not the time to think about that. You tied the lavender and crรจme bed sheets together and tried to make a rope out of it. Hopefully it was long enough to carry you down your window on the fourth floor. You opened the window silently, trying not to make too much sound, and threw the bed sheet rope down. You took off your shoes threw them off first. They landed safely. Good. Now you put your one leg down the window sill, trying to reach the platform under it. After it reached the platform, you then put your other leg down, now dangling your body loosely on the platform.

You now got a grip on the rope and started to descend.

About halfway down, you made eye contact with someone doing the exact same thing, a few windows over.

You really got caught off guard and lost your grip on the sheets. You tried flapping your arms like a penguin to regain balance but no avail, you were already falling.

After a few seconds of the impact, you felt someone poke his finger on your forehead, almost asking 'is you ded?'. You fluttered your eyes open only to meet with beautiful (color) orbs shining radiantly in the subtle afternoon sun.

"Are you okay?" He whispered.

"Well my eyebrows don't hurt" you replied, getting up shakily, groaning in pain.

He helped you get up on your feet and picked up your heels lying on the pavement in his hands.

"You did it too?" he asked, letting out a chuckle.

You now looked at his outfit more properly. He was wearing a really expensive cocktail attire with navy blue oxford shoes. It was more than obvious what was going on.

"I did" you replied.

"Well? what now?" He asked, as both of you walked towards the back gate of the church where your wedding was supposed to be held.

"I don't have any plan right now. I guess I'll just go with the flow. What 'bout you?" You inquire.

"I initially planned on running away to my apartment in the city center but the tenants still haven't moved out, so I guess I'll have to crash at my friends' tonight" he gulped.

"Lucky you, I wish I had friends to crash on" You said, kicking a rock on the street as you both walked towards nowhere.

"You can come over with me. I mean my friend wouldn't mind at all. We've been friends since childhood and she's like an elder sister to me. She'll definitely understand" he exclaimed.

"I- I can't possibly do that. I mean, it'll be too much trouble" You said, gulping nervously.

"What? No way. I just told you she wouldn't mind. And by the way I can't leave a damsel in distress" he said , winking at me.

"Shut up y-you.. whatever your name is" you retorted back "I ran away because my dad was forcing me to marry a man I didn't even know just because he was a millionare" you said, making funny faces, mocking your ex-future husband.

"Really? That sounds reasonable" he said, trying to hold back his laughter.

"By the way my name is (character), I ran away because me family kind of did the same thing, not because she's a millionaire but the daughter our family friends." he said, sounding more serious.

"Yeah well, who knows if they turn out to be a murderer who steals other people's goldfishes for a hobby?" You said, kicking another stone.

"You are really funny aren't you?" he said chuckling.

"Well then y/n, would you like to accept my proposal?" he asked.

You thought about it for a moment, and damn, there was no other thing you could do right now, so you accepted.

"Okay. If you promise me your 'friend' would honestly not mind." you mumbled.

"Yeah, I sure she wouldn't" He said as he showed you the way, gesturing his hands to walk in front of him.

"Okay, thanks I guess" You chimed.

After about another couple minutes of walking, you snapped and put your fists up in a fighting stance.

"HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!?" you threatened.

"Woah woah calm down y/n!" He said, putting his hands clear in the air for you to see.

"ANSWER ME" you yelled

"Geez you're silly. Look at your necklace" He said, bursting out in laughter.

You looked at your necklace and realized you were wearing the necklace your mom gave you on your birthday with your name written on it. You felt really ashamed for distrusting him like that so decided to apologize.

"I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have acted impulsively" you lowered your head.

"It's okay, I understand. You can give me a kiss as payback later~" he cooed.

"Shut up." you snapped at him, blushing.

After about 5 minutes, you reached his friend's apartment.

"Gosh (character)! You totally scared me, I thought you got caught by your par-Wait, Who's that?" She asked, in a low voice.

"This is y/n. I saw her fall down her window and lie on the ground like a starfish. She ran away too" He said, muffling his giggles. I gave him a glare.

"WAAAAAH! I ALWAYS DREAMED OF HELPING PEOPLE ELOPE THEIR WEDDINGS!" she exlaimed, fist-pumping in the air, looking very dramatic.

I smiled weakly at her, as (character) gestured me to come in.

"Welcome to my humble abode lovebirds!" She opened up her arms, looking very dramatic again.

"Wh-what? We barely know each other" You said as you felt the heat rush onto your cheeks.

"True that" (character) acknowledged.

"Oh come on! I know when someone likes something~" she smirked, "You think he's cute, don't you?"

"What? n-no way!" you laughed nervously.

She could see (character) blushing as well, from the side of her eye.

[Oh come on! Enough already. Let's name her, shall we?

uHH.. Sandra?]

*ahem* so.. rephrasing;

Sandra could see (character) blushing from the side of her eye as well.

"Oh never mind me. You guys are blushing way too much. Come with me y/n, I'll get you a dress" she said, as she pulled you towards her bedroom.

She gave you a comfortable light yellow midi dress to wear and (character) changed into Sandra's boyfriend's clothes.

The rest of the day went peacefully as both of you left your phones at home and no had any idea of where you were staying. The three of you ate dinner and it was finally time to sleep. Sandra's apartment only had two rooms and the master was shared by her and her boyfriend so you and (character) had to share the guest.

"Uh y/n you sure about this? I can sleep on the couch if you want" (character) asked for assurance.

"No it's perfectly fine. At least it's better than trashing an unknown person." You rolled your eyes.

"That's true, but ew" he shaked his head disapprovingly, but soon turned into a smile.

"Uh (character), about earlier? I think I'll just do it" You said, crawling closer towards him.

"Do what?" he tilted his head in confusion.

You crawled across the bed and gave him a small peck on the cheek.

"This" you said, smirking, as you lied down across the bed, rolling yourself in a burrito with the blankets.

"Oh." he said, blushing furiously as he touched his cheek.

You both slept peacefully. Despite all the chaos in your life, you felt content for some reason.

Time skip:

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. You both achieved what you had been looking in your life, both a career and a beautiful relationship. You and character realized your feelings for each other after some time from when you first met.

It has been six years since both of you ran away, in search of a new life, but this distance between you and your loved ones took it's toll on both of you. It was decided mutually that both of you will now return to your parents to ask for their permission to marry each other. And you did.

So now here you were, standing in front of your parents, holding each others' hands to look for comfort.

You could get rejected, just like you rejected them six years ago.

The agony was too much to bear. You needed to tell them then and there.

"Dad I'm sorry for what I did, but I really hope you will understand" You spoke

"y/n.. y-you" your aunt said, with a speechless expression.

"I know auntie what I did was wrong but I really felt the need to marry someone I loved" You blurted out and turned towards your parents,

"Dad, and it's him, (character). I have finally found a person 'I' love from the bottom of my heart. Please allow us to get married." you both bowed down in front of your parents.

"y/n, really?" your father said, with a hurtful and shocked expression.

"Oh my god" your mother cried as she cupped her mouth, tears flowing down her eyes.

You both rise, confused.

"It was him all along" Your father whispered, hurt.

"huh? what do you mean dad?" you both looked at each other in confusion.

"He was the person you were supposed to marry six years ago. Character. Y/n, you were going to get married to him"
