1. Party Smart, Not Hard

The day passed by in flash. Hawks went to the charity event with a smile upon his face. As usual, the first thing welcomed his entrance was flashlight and swarm of people. The reporters, higher-ups and women bombarded him with questions. He got people what they wanted, giving a perfect response to their inquiry.

"Endeavour is coming!"

They eventually stopped flocking on him. Endeavour had arrived on the scene with his children. Everyone was busy taking pictures (including Hawks on his phone camera). It was rare for him to appear with his daughter and sons (because they refused to breath on the same air with him). The crowd dispatched when Mt. Lady arrived wearing a rather lewd nightdress.

The Todorokis used the opportunity to fade into the background. Endeavour was busy greeting people. Fuyumi stood next to her father in exchange for her missing mother. Natsuo introduced himself to make a new connection with important people in multiple industries. The youngest son, Shoto, was tired from the camera flashlight and tons of journalists questions. Natsuo noticed his distress. He walked closer to his younger brother then tapped his shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Everything is just... overwhelming. I thought it will be good for future reference if I want to be pro-hero. I guess it's still too much for me." He let out a long sigh. "I miss my friends and my dorm."

He caressed his brother hair, "Baby step, little brother."

Shouto stared at his brother. "I never thought you will accept his invitation. You always decline it."

Natsuo scratched his head. "Well, I need a link for my future. What is the better way than attending this party? Besides, the girls here are cute. I exchange a lot of contacts in one night." He snickered while waving at a bunch of giggling women.

Hawks watched them having a conversation from afar. He then changed his attention to the oldest daughter. She was in the peak age for marriage. Fuyumi was beautiful, smart and sweet (and thicc). Being her partner meant getting closer to the Todoroki family. They have a huge influence in every industry. Any smart men would use this opportunity to be close to her. Unfortunately, Endeavor was a big obstacle. He glared at anyone mentioned marriage or courtship in front of him. If a look could kill, Endeavour would be a mass murderer instead of number one hero.

Hawks watched her like a hunter looking for prey. There was a hint of exhaustion in her eyes. She smiled politely to other guests to make a positive image for her family and the media. He took pity on her. She was sick of attending this some sort of party, but it was her responsibility as the daughter of a public figure.

That man smiled. A wicked idea popped out from his mind.

He made his moves. Hawks need a distraction. He separated Endeavour from his daughter by asking members of the Hero Association to talk about villain movement. His plan worked well. Endeavour excused himself to have a private conversation. Fuyumi was alone after he left. He used that time to greet her for the first time.

"Miss Todoroki!"

Everyone knew this was a great sign. The crowd opened a path for him. They became the center of attention and the camera focused on them. Everyone was curious about their interactions. The combination of the second hero and the daughter of hero number one would be interesting for the news and gossip.

Much to his surprised, Fuyumi did not back down. She started with a rather strong defence. The glasses woman politely bowed to him. She made clear that their relationship was nothing than a new acquaintance.

"Hawks, isn't it? Thank you for always helping my father."

"It's not a problem. We are on the same page after all." He took a drink from a waiter. "I've heard a lot of wonderful thing about you from your father."

Fuyumi laughed. "Really? What did he say?"

The second hero broke a sweat. "Erm... That you are a hardworking person."

She knew it was a bluff. Her sweet demeanour became cold in the span of a millisecond. "You should've come with a better reason to approach me."

Fuyumi was used to this situation. Most people came to her simply to get on her father side. She had accumulated enough experience and skill to know who was genuine or fake. Her guard was up and it was up to him to break it. Hawks had to switch the topic before he lost the ground.

He took a second drink from a waiter. "Shall we have a toast for this encounter?"

Hawks offered her the drink. She raised her eyebrow, still feeling suspicious. Nevertheless, she accepted it. Refusing while hundreds of eyes stared did not sit right with her. Fuyumi reached for a drink on his hand. Hawks smiled as she fell for his plan. His hand slipped and some of the drink spilt to her hand. He used his grade A acting skill to fake his reaction.

"I'm sorry! How clumsy of me."

"No, it's okay. It's just an accident."

Fuyumi reached her purse for handkerchief.

Before she could do it, Hawks held her hand and licked her finger.

Fuyumi's cheek flushed.

Everyone was busy taking photos.

A berserk button had been pushed to all-male in Todoroki's family.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Natsuo ran and pulled his sister from him.

Shouto took out his handkerchief and busy cleaning her hand. "We need to disinfect this."

Fuyumi was speechless from the embarrassment. Her whole face now was red.

"HAWKS!"

A high pitch angry scream filled the place. Everyone looked back and saw Endeavour with (literal) rage fiery aura. He returned back just to watch everything unfolded in front of his eyes. The guest shoved each other, too frightened to get in his way. Even Hawks felt threatened by his favourite hero.

"Mind note: Endeavour has that Papa bear side to him."

His first instinct was to escape. He ran before Fuyumi could mutter any word. That man winked at her. "Pleasure to meet you, but I will take off first. Bye!"

Hawks found the nearest window and jumped. Endeavour did not chase him. Flirting with the daughter of your favourite hero was a bad idea. However, it was fun. It had been a while since he played around. The whole spy nearly drove him insane. He deserved a break from that madness. He decides to continue playing. He could end up inside the family if he was lucky... or got mauled by the family if he was unlucky.

The last one was more realistic.
