Death? More likely than you think

The day was one of Midoriya's favorites. A peaceful day without having to deal with anyone other than his beautiful, sweet mother. The two always had days where they would go out and have fun, depending on the weather they'd have ice cream or they'd have hot chocolate. It all depended on her money and the weather. This day was no different. With the cold slowly leaving them, they opted to having hot chocolate and a few snacks to go with it. They never had to deal with villain attacks and if they did, they'd go somewhere safe and watch from afar so that Midoriya could get some notes on both the heroes and villains.

  This one was different.

This one was going to ruin everything that Fate had set out.

One future hero would no longer be there.

One person was going to die.

The hero, known as Endeavor, was chasing a villain. He had tried cutting the villain off with his fire. Izuku had to dive out of the way because of how wild it was. He grabbed his mother's hand and pulled her along with him to avoid the battle. Their path was cut off by a wall of fire. This isn't safe at all! Heroes are supposed to keep civilians safe, but Endeavor is really not doing that. Izuku sighed as he tried to find a way out of the crossfire. The heat was right in his face, his shirt dampening with sweat. Endeavor launched an attack at the villain who had gotten in front of them. When he jumped out the way, the blast was sent towards the two bystanders who had been trying to get away. Midoriya had turned his back on it, trying to shield his mother who had panicked.

Izuku cried out in pain but that didn't seem to hinder the hero. He helped his mother out, trying to get her out of there when the villain came towards them. He pushed her away and got out of the villain's path. With that, Endeavor continued fighting and had not even stopped to give them room. The awning had become unstable and the fire was eating away at the metal supports. Izuku had been trying to get to his mother who had been knocked unconscious from the lack of oxygen. It was too hot. Izuku was in too much pain from the burn on his back.

The battle was over but his mother, he had watched the awning fall. His lovely and sweet mother was trapped underneath. "Help! Please! Endeavor, help me!" He tried getting the hero to help but he kept walking, carrying the villain. He watched the retreating back of the so-called hero. "Help! My mom!" Nothing. He moved the awning as much as he could, freeing a portion of his mother. He gasped at the sight of blood that trickled from her head and down her face. "M-mom?" he whispers, pushing back the locks of green hair. "Mom." He watched as her eyes fluttered open.

  "Izuku, honey. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Mom." Big, fat tears rolled down his cheeks like waterfalls. "Mom, please hold on. I'll get help. Please."

She smiled at him, reaching up with a broken hand to caress his face. "I'm sorry, honey. I want to try and reassure you—I can't lie to you."

Izuku shook his head, holding onto her hand with one of his while the other one ran through her hair. "Shh. I know, Mom, but you may still have a chance. They'll come and help. They wouldn't leave you to die," he murmured. His voice cracked and he sobbed as he kissed her head. He watched her take shuddering breaths, he watched her eyes dull and close. He watched as she fell limp. He watched her take her last breath. He watched his own mother die. All because of a hero who wouldn't check his surroundings. All because of a hero wouldn't stop and help when the young son called after him.

"You should've known better. You should've left when you had the chance."

Midoriya Inko, a loving wife and mother, died in front of her only son.

"You didn't give us a chance! You son of a bitch! You should've checked!"

Midoriya Hisashi was furious and fell into despair. He would send his villains to try and take revenge for his lovely wife, but to no avail. In the end, he would have to rethink and replan before he can bring his wife the justice that she deserves.

"Izuku," called his father through the screen (he couldn't make it to the funeral much to his dismay). A curly, black haired male with slitted reptilian, green eyes and scales around his eyes and neck; tall and held a business yet threatening aura around him. His eyes held a toxicity that his son would inherit later on. "That is enough. Do not get into any trouble. Leave the monster alone."

Midoriya Izuku was furious and wanted revenge—wanted justice for his mother's death. He was not going to let a murderer walk away again. That man was going to pay.

"We need to make him pay, Father."

"Yes, my son. But first, you need to train and then, will you bring down the age of heroes and villains." A fume of smoke leaves past his lips as he activates his quirk a bit.

* * *

Izuku is beyond pissed. Pure, white hot rage courses through his blood. His father's associates had trained him, but he couldn't do anything. Not yet. He has to wait for the right opportunity. If he acts now, he will violate the contract, which is something that won't be good for him. "You know, Endeavor, I wonder how the public will react to your sins," he whispers vehemently. He lets his anger bleed into his words, poisoning them as he shoots daggers at him.

"I don't know what you mean. Now get out of my way," he growls out. He doesn't have the patience to deal with this kid (he doesn't have the patience to deal with anyone, apparently). He isn't a student that much he could tell, so if he does something, he'll have him kicked out. Endeavor is the number two hero who throws a tantrum when things don't go his way and if the kid is around then it won't be good. Enji stares down at the shrimp who dares to challenge him with animosity shining in those green orbs.

Midoriya's hold on his calm and collect resolve is slipping. Through seething rage and clenched teeth, he asks, "Really? Look me in the eye and tell me you don't know what I'm talking about! You murderer."

"I'm a hero, you insolent brat! Show some respect."

"Or what? You'll burn me again? You'll kill me like everyone else?" His voice rises in volume but not loud enough for it to carry. "I won't respect you. If anything, I respect a villain more than I do you. After all, person such as yourself isn't worthy to be called a hero. Hell, even villains wouldn't want you on their side. Satan himself is ashamed to even know that you'll be going to his domain. But I am sure that he'll have fun with your tortue." He sticks his chin up, their eyes meeting. "I do not know how much pain you've inflicted on others, but I assure you, you will never do so again when I get the chance. You're a petty hero. I wouldn't be surprised if your own family hates you."

Endeavor glares down at the shrimp who dares to insult him. "I suggest you get out of my way. You have no idea what I'm capable of."

"Oh! I'm so scared," he mocks, clicking his tongue and shaking his head. "I know your dirty little secrets. I know your weaknesses. Be glad I can't kill you, otherwise you'd be in the ground with no body to cremate." A sinister and deadly smile crosses his face. He lists a few weakness, grinning madly at seeing the sudden change in his demeanor. "Just how much do you think I will sell them? Honestly, I'd sell you to Satan for a corn chip. Be careful and watch where you step, Endeavor, your future looks grim from where I'm standing. You're a mere doll—a pawn—to me. I'm the puppeteer of your life, be glad I don't end it." He walks past him but pauses. "Just know, I'm not threatening you, I'm telling you what I'm capable of. I may not be strong, but I hold your life in my hands. I won't hesitate to let it go. You will pay for everything."

With that, he walks away. He isn't wanting to be graced by such a tainted hero's presence. If anything, someone like that can't be given a second chance. While Izuku may not know the extent of Endeavor's actions against the public or just people in general, but his intuition is never wrong in this field. He has more skeletons in his closet and with time, he will find them out. Midoriya, passing a small intersection, glances to the right and meets the heterochromic eyes of the person who listened in to their conversation.

The owner glances away to check if his father is gone before moving to catch up with the quirk counselor. "You called my father a murderer."

Midoriya doesn't say anything, merely glancing at him. He smacks his lips, turning away from the son of his mother's murderer. He doesn't blame Todoroki, nor is he going to let his hatred for the guy's father be passed onto him (someone that doesn't deserve it). He just doesn't want to socialize with him, not after that encounter with the guy's father and the possible hatred the dual quirk user may have begin to grow for the green bean. Not many people appreciate their parents be trash-talked or be accused of being a murderer. "I could've called him something worse," he admits. He stuffs his hands into his pockets with a shrug. "If you're going to defend him, save it. I don't care what you think about him." He stretches and pops his arms the best he can, eyes sweeping across the corridor. He ignores Todoroki's presence when he doesn't say anything.

Right before getting to the door that leads to the stands, Shouto stops and sighs. Maybe, just maybe Midoriya might be able to help. He may be able to understand. He seems trustworthy no matter how villainous he can come off as. If this backfires, then—well in what way can it backfire? Midoriya will know, but he may not do anything about it. The guy, while rude and disrespectful, he wouldn't be the type to use this against him. If anything, it might make his father a bigger target than he already is. "Do you know what quirk marriages are?"

Midoriya pauses in his trek. His shoulders slump a bit as he turns around to face Todoroki fully. A guarded expression on his face, one that Shouto doesn't know to make of. "Basically, forced arranged marriages that should be illegal but isn't?"

"My father has always wanted to be number one . . ." he falls into an explanation, his left hand coming up to cover his left eye. After the story, Todoroki doesn't know whether to leave or to wait for the response. He doesn't know what the boy's response may be, but he sure as heck did not expect the one he gets. Midoriya doesn't elaborate. He just says what he wants to say and then he leaves. He leaves the older male alone and disappears to do what he had came for.

"With your quirk, you have to have balance. Ignore the existence of the man you hate. No balance, well, let's just say it won't be good. It's your power, not his. You should prove that to him one day." A smile slithered onto his face. "And if it makes you feel any better, you won't have to deal with that abomination by the end of this school year ever again."
