The Birth of a Dream

"If my voice can bring strength to people, then I want everyone to hear it."

Zunko happily rattled off her new plan as Lui watched her color with crayons. At home she's the "powerless" one, at school she's the "weirdo", unable to fit in no matter which place she went. Well then, why not make her own place? An in-between world that suits HER, not the other way around.

She scribbled out her vision and proudly held it out to Lui. A brilliantly shining stage, as Zunko stood front and center. A huge crowd gathered, just to hear her sing...

"Isn't it cool? It's that 'idol' stuff I heard the other girls talking about!"

"You want to be an idol, Zunko?"

Zunko nodded eagerly, flipping the paper back around to look at her drawing. "I'm gonna be the best idol ever, and everyone will hear me sing!"

Lui smiled at her softly. "That sounds nice... I'll always be here listening, so you already have a fan!"

    "Make that two."

The two of them blinked and slowly turned their head to look at Itako, smiling as she stood in the doorframe. Truthfully, Itako had always worried about her sister. Zunko kept stumbling around with nothing to hold onto, cast in her elder sister's shadow... Her little Zunko finally had a dream, and now it's her turn to cheer it on.

"You want to be an idol, huh? My connections are mostly shaman-related, but I'll ask around and see if there's anything I can do to help!"

With an excited gasp, Zunko's dream cemented itself into her mind. Eyes sparkling with determination, her mind was made up. The fire that was lit that day still burns in her heart today, as her voice spreads further and further.
