Subtle Motion

Subtle motion,

The movement reveals something

But you must look deep,

For only you and me can read these things.

You and I, what we have in common,

Is not something kindly taken to,

For our hearts are shattered in pieces

That only our movement can reveal.

You and me are different,

I, with a steadier hand, yet a heavier heart.

I am determination,

And you are the pitiful and puny definition of weak.

You, a clumsy fool,

Let yourself fall to your knees when she breaks your heart.

I, when my heart is broken,

Got up with a sword in hand.

I cannot repeat what I have said,

Yet you and me are the same.

Our hearts are broken with the arrows

Shot by each other.

I just had a steadier hand,

And I was willing to sacrifice myself

To save you.

Too bad not all stories end in a pleasing manner.
