Chapter Thirteen - Locked inside the Bankok Residence

Jay watched as the man held out his hand for him.

"I'm not joining you. You think I would betray my friends?" The man scoffed.

"Friends. What friends? They're not really your friends. Bandit just wanted information, Aaron felt bad for you, Catherine went for Aaron, your mother loved you but love is so overrated. Then Tanner, he's just new. He doesn't know what his future would hold with you in it. Come on Jay, you don't need any of them. Let them feel the hurt they caused us."

"How did we cause you pain?" Jay asked the man. The man whom he knew. It was Buck, it had to be. The way he talked, even if he had a hood over his head.

"You and Aaron left. Bandit wasn't there for me, I couldn't get my hands on Catherine and Nancy, ooohhhh Nancy. You know I loved her, but she still stayed with Steve. I wanted both of you, I needed both of you but she kept one. But love made me weak and I gave in. But now that she is out of the way, all I need to do is get you and Bandit." The man raised his fists in the air.

"What do you mean out of the way?" Jay asked standing up taking a singular step forward.

"Oh, you didn't know? I killed her!" The man cackled as he watched Jay realize everything right then.

"She made me weak. Now about that deal. I can spare his life if it makes you better. But you know he is going to die anyway. And from his own heart." Jay was by Buck in a second and grabbed Bucks gun from its holster and was holding it by Bucks head.

"Woah. Woah there Jay. Calm down, I just needed a yes or no to join me. I guess it's a no." Then he disappeared. Literally disappeared. He was gone, now Jay was holding the gun to air. He had tears welling in his eyes and he dropped the gun. He dropped to the ground, hugging his knees. Slightly crying.

"Jay." He heard Tanner voice, he had forgotten he was here. He had done all of that in front of him. He had heard what Buck said, but Jay didn't know if it was true or not. He always had been weird and always separated from everyone. He was a little shy, that is until he faced wolves. Jay wiped away tears but his eyes were still a little puffy when he looked up. Tanner was on his knees looking alert and he was looking everywhere. He looked back at Jay whom had been staring at him for a minute.

"Where are we?" Jay glanced to the right and saw a nice little table with a vase of flowers on it. The counter was sparkly clean. He looked to the left, there was a couch just for sitting, nothing else. He stood up glancing around and he looked around the corner to the right. The bathroom, to the left, a bedroom. He went around the right corner and saw to the left of the bedroom, another room. Much smaller and Jay knew exactly where he was.

The house he gre up in. But that burned down. But it was exactly like his house. Everything in the same spot, the ground made of wood having a carpet over them to stop from getting splinters, the flowers in the middle of the table, everyone dinner, Jay would always see new flowers there. The sparkly clean, everything. Nancy never left any thing dirty. She would work for hours just to make everything clean.

"We are at our home."

"This is where I lived for the first three years of my life?" Jay stepped forward and leaned down into a crouching position next to Tanner. He touched his arm but then he had a flashback.

Steve was clearing a space in their room for a crib. He was preparing to for the son to come that he thought was his. Just as Steve was laying down a blanket. A little boy came in. He had green eyes and semi curly blondish hair.
"Daddy. When is mommy going to be home? I hunger and yoooo make disgustin food!" He stuck out his tounge and shuck his head.
"She should be home soon, with your new brother." Steve said kneeling down and putting a hand on the little boys shoulder.

The scene swiveled away and it was now in a hospigal room with Nancy

"Twins. Buck. I can't take care of them. You must take one." A man, whom looked like Buck but seventeen years younger knelt down next to the bed.

"But Nancy, I don't know how to raise a babe, especially without your help. I have work to do, I can't be with him twenty four seven." Buck complained.
"I know, but Steve will know something is up. Please take one, You can come and visit. I know you can be a great father." Buck looked at the two fragile children sitting in Nancy's arms. Buck glanced between them. Then finally back to Nancy.

"Fine, one. Pick the one you want to keep." Buck said in an aggravated voice. She chose the slightly smaller one with lighter hair, it was almost red. Buck took the other.
"Tell me his name first." Nancy said grabbing Bucks hand ad pulling him back down on the bed.

"You didn't name them?" He asked then he looked at the baby in his hands. "Brooks."

"I'll name mine Jacob. But only on his certificate, he will always be called Jay. It seems to fit him more." Nancy said touching the baby in the nose.
"Good luck little baby." Nancy said leaning over and to using Brooks nose. "Buck take good of him." Nancy gave him a stern look. Buck nodded and left holding the baby.

A couple days later.

Nancy wa staking the new baby home. As she walked in. A little boy was by her feet and her husband was looking st the baby.
"Mommy! Mommy let me see him! I wanna see him!" Little Tanner yelled up to his mother. But then he stopped and he was trying to breath steadily through his nose. He held his heart, his eyes looked like they were starting to fill up with tears. Nancy handed the baby to Steve and she knelt down to Tanner.

"Calm down, Baby. Remember what I said to do." She waved her hand up as to say in and down to show out.
"I- I - I am twying." He said through ragged breaths."I know baby. Now come on, in and out, in out" Nancy continued doing hand motions until Tanner finally started breathing normal breaths. Tanner looked up at Nancy looks like he was still going to cry,
"Do I need to go to da doctors again?" Nancy looked at her son turning her head one eyes quintet a little and her mouth on the side raised.
"Come here." Nancy opened his arms for him to come. She started to pet Tanners hair. "Remember the doctors make you better." Tanner looked at his mom, not making eye contact but nodding. Nancy smiled and picked her son up, bringing him over to the couch. She sat down and Tanner moved off of her, he turned back around and laid his head on her legs, she began playing with his hair and he fell asleep. Then Steve cane in after putting the baby asleep in his crib.
"What are we going to do with him?" Nancy asked never taking her eyes off of Tanner.
"I don't know. They are getting worse and more frequent." Steve said, there was a silence. Then Nancy got an idea, she turned to look at Steve.
"I think we should accept." Steve widened his eyes.
"You wanna send him away? He would be gone. We would never beagle to see him again." Nancy considered this but continued to speak,

"Yeah but he could also help the rest of the world. He could save lives." Steve looked but at Nancy, he couldn't believe she was saying this.

"But he could lose his." Nancy took a deep breath and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Look. I know it will be hard but he is super stressful. I won't be able to handle it with him and then Jay." She gasped and looked at Steves radiant blue eyes. "Jay! We will still have a baby." Steve stood up from the couch, this was absurd. He ran his fingers through his hair than looked at Nancy.

"We can't replace him. That's Not fair to compare him with his brother. It's not fair to Tanner, it isn't to me. Or Jay, he would grow up not knowing he has a brother. Nancy you can't do that. He is only a child!" Nancy didn't say anything after that instead she signed and sent the papers, the papers saying that Tanner could go and be tested on for pasudornadom.

"I'm sorry." Tanner was confused as Jay said these two words. "For what?" Tanner asked touching Jay's shoulder. "When I was born. You were sent away." Tanner looked around and then took his hand from his shoulder and raised his chin to make him look at him but Jay wouldn't look up. Tanner dropped his arm and spoke. "Jay you didn't do anything. It's not your fault I have pasudornadom. They just couldn't handle the pressure I put on them, you know with having panic attacks and taking care of you." Jay looked up at Tanner through his eyelashes. "Okay. But I totally agree." Tanner waited for him to continue. "Steve's food did really suck." Tanner was confused but it made Jay laugh at himself. "Oh wait. You probably don't remember. I just had this flashback thing." "I figured." Tanner said, remembering when he had the flashback about when he was taken away. "Have you had one before." Tanner nodded. "I'm pretty sure it happened to Bandit before to. That was when he found out the the Boss was Buck." Jay continued and then when he stopped he looked at Tanner whom was confused. "The Boss?" "You know how me and Aaron worked for the bad group at one point, well the entire time it was my dad and I didn't know it." Tanner just let it be, even though he had no idea what Jay was talking about. There was a crash outside causing Jay to stand up and then the door opened. Jay went to grab his knife but it was gone. "I'll never forget this place." Buck said walking in. Then he looked at Jay. "I originally needed you and Bandit but then I have been thinking. Tanner is still my and Nancy's son. So he will work fine. Now I just need you guys to corporate and nobody else will get hurt."
"What about us?" Tanner asked. Buck shrugged and looked to Tanner. "It depends. Now get up and let's go. Unless you want to get hurt." Tanner pushed himself from the ground. Standing up wobbly. But he seemed okay after that. Buck opened the door and the two boys walked out. They weren't outside though. They were just in another hallway. "Welcome home boys." They heard Buck say closing the door behind them.

Bandit swiftly caught Catherine's arm as the floor gave out. He didn't want her to cut her wrist on the floorboards like he once had. But her also grabbed her with that hand. He couldn't hold up her weight and Aaron was to focused on looking through the packet to help. Together the fell through the floor. They landed with a thump on the ground.

Catherine was now sitting up against the wall. Bandit said up woozily, he looked at Catherine seeing only a blurry shape at first. Then Bandit was rubbing her shoulder trying to figure out the mysteries that she held inside. She was keeping way too much sadness locked up. She needed to let it out. Bandit looked up through the hole on the ceiling or floor that they fell through, when he heard Aaron's voice.

"Are you guys okay?" Bandit could see Aaron's face through the hole.
"We're fine!" Catherine yelled up to Aaron before Bandit could answer.
"Should I come down?" Aaron yelled down to them kind of hoping they would say to try and find another way because Aaron didn't want to jump through the floor.
"Do you know another way down? I don't think it would be the best to purposely jump through a floor." Bandit said standing up from the ground. He partly said it because he wanted some alone time with Catherine because he kind of wanted to see if he could get Catherine to share whatever it was she was hiding. He could be very good at getting people to share their secrets and feelings out loud because he himself couldn't really keep his feelings to himself.
"Ok. I think there is a staircase close by. I guess we'll see." Aaron said getting up and leaving to find another way down. Bandit then turned his attention to Catherine.
"What's wrong? You seem so, I don't know out of it." Bandit reached out his hand for Catherine to take. So he could pull her to her feet. Catherine looked at Bandits hand and was hesitant to take it. When she did Bandit swiftly pulled her to her feet.
"I just feel like my entire life has been a lie." Catherine said looking at the ground.
"Trust me. I relate. I mean don't even get me started, me being in jail was a while lie. Same with my unknown family members." Catherine looked at Bandit still holding his hand from when he pulled her up.
"I guess you're right. You have been through a lot more than me. But then at least your unknown family members are alive." Bandit took his free hand and made Catherine look at him when she somehow started glancing at the ground again.
"Catherine." Bandit meant to continue but he stopped looking at Catherine's amazing sparkly blue eyes.
"Yes? Brooks." Bandit bit his lip and looked at Catherine once again. Bandit could feel his heart beating faster as he slowly leaned down and kissed Catherine. Catherine was quick to kiss him right back she dropped his hand and moved hers to his hair.

Bandit wrapped his arm around her waist to pull Catherine closer. The kiss lasted until neither of them could take it any longer and they had to break free. Bandit leaned his head against Catherine's.
"I'm sorry. I know you're with Aaron." Catherine moved her head away to look at Bandits face.
"I- it's not official. And I think I might not love him as much as I think I did." Catherine said walking her fingers up Bandits shirt and grabbing it, pulling him closer to her. Kissing him once again.

Bandit didn't know what was happening but he enjoyed it but he realized something. One reason on why he didn't kiss her back, she was using him. She was trying to make herself feel better, she was depressed and people will do anything for a distraction. He pulled away from her and looked into her eyes. They looked devastatingly sad, she looked hurt. And a little scared.
"Catherine. Don't do this. Don't give into your sadness. I know I'm making you feel better but it's not in a good way. If you really like me, you'll stop using me." Bandit said it with a hint of hurt in his own voice. He was scared that Catherine wasn't going to like him after he said it but he needed to tell her what she was doing before it went to far.

"I'm not using you. I just love you." Catherine said leaning into Bandit. Bandit grabbed Catherine's shoulders and made her look at him. "Catherine. Love takes time, it isn't just a thing you can detect at first sight. Some people believe it is but true love like true true love. That needs to take time, now please tell me what is wrong. I can help but not unless you tell me what's wrong." Catherine looked at Bandit with sad eyes. She was keeping something, something dangerous. By the looks of her expression. She looked like she wanted to tell him but she couldn't seem to form the words."I told you. My whole life is a lie. I don't have any family. They're all dead." Catherine crossed her arms and leaned against the wall sliding down hugging her legs. Bandit leaned down next to her. "I just feel useless. I'm just the one of those people that is just there and only used for healing people. I don't feel like I have a purpose. I mean you do, most likely, your purpose is to clear your name and stop your father for all the bad things he has done." Bandit looked at Catherine in disbelief. "Prove I'm not guilty to who? The only people alive still know I'm innocent and yeah I want to stop my father because he is doing bad stuff but that doesn't make you any less important. You are playing a big role here. I mean sure you have a gift in healing but you saved so many of our lives. That's a true gift. Don't pull yourself down trying to tell yourself you don't belong. We wouldn't be as far as we are without you. Catherine, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life." Bandit paused and let that sink in. Catherine looked up at Bandit batting her eyelashes. But then he continued, "You're the sunshine in the dark. You're the beautiful rose to the ugly weed. You're the most amazing person I have ever met. You have to believe you are something more than you're letting yourself. You know why?" Catherine shook her head. "Because you are. And nothing can ever make you change your mind if you don't let it." "Your right Bandit. Actually let me rephrase that." Catherine pushed herself forward and kissed Bandit on the cheek. 'Your right Brooks and we have a villain to kill." Bandit smiled because he had awakened the old Catherine. The one that made him happy. Bandit helped Catherine up once again. She started to walk forward but Bandit grabbed her hand and turned her around. "First I have to set a couple of rules. Don't ever forget that you mean more to me than anything, I mean you mean more to every one than anything and can you please refrain from calling me Brooks. I've kind if gotten use to Bandit, I feel like calling me Brooks isn't calling me by my name. Also, what are we going to tell Aaron?" Catherine let out a deep sigh of frustration. Why did she have to like two boys? Which one did she love more? "We will tell him the truth. At some point. But Br-errrr andit I do love you. I thought I loved Aaron but I felt something with that kiss. Something amazing." Bandit smiled at her words. "As amazing as this one?" Bandit asked pulling Catherine close and kissing her again. Like if was the last time they would ever see each other again. When they pulled away Catherine was smiling. "No, that one was definitely better." She said laughing a little at the end as well as trying to catch her breath. "Let's go." Bandit said grabbing Catherine's hand and turning forward only to frown. Seeing the person standing there scared Bandit. He knew what he was capable of and he was scared that he was about to be in trouble.
