After a while they get a lot of work done, Steven and Spinel go back home,

" Dang, today was really exhausting and that's easy stuff, I've had a lot more gem stuff that wasn't that tiring, I guess it's just that since I've established peace across the galaxy there's not a whole lot to do anymore," Steven says, Steven yawns and goes upstairs, Steven changes into pajamas and goes back downstairs, Spinel sat on the couch,

" Here Spinel," Steven says, Steven handed over a blanket and a couple of pillows,

" You can sleep on the couch and here, this is MC Bear Bear, he's really special," Steven says, He hands MC Bear Bear to Spinel, he sets up her place to sleep,

" Well goodnight Spinel," Steven says, He yawns and goes upstairs, Spinel looks down at MC Bear Bear, Steven plops down on his bed,

" H-hey Steven?" Spinel asks,

" Yeah?" Steven responds,

" D-do you mind if I sleep with you tonight, I- I just don't want to have another nightmare and I don't want to feel lonely even if you gave me MC Bear Bear," Spinel explains,

" Oh, uh... sure Spinel," Steven says, Steven scooches over and pats the bed, Spinel climbs the bed,

" W-well this is kinda awkward but goodnight Spinel," Steven says, Steven lays down and starts going to sleep, Spinel stayed up for a little longer,

" H-hey Steven?" Spinel whispers,

" Y-yeah," Steven says, Steven sits up,

" D-do you mind if I can have a pair of those clothes you seem to be wearing? My usual outfit is not really the best to sleep in since it wasn't really made for that," Spinel says,

" Y-yeah sure, hold on," Steven says, Steven gets up and walks outside of the house, the car starts running, Spinel looks at the headlights drifting away, she looks down at MC Bear Bear, she holds him in her hands, squishing him. A few minutes go by, Spinel looks down in worryness and sadness, the car rolls up and Steven opens the door, Spinel lifts her head, Steven walks up the stairs holding a bag,

" Here Spinel, sorry I should have told you where I was going, but I don't really have any pairs of pajamas that would really fit you well mainly because this is one of the only pair I have so I bought you your own pair," Steven says, he hands her the bag,

" R-really!? T-thank you, Steven!" Spinel says, she opens the bag revealing a pink pajama button-up top and pink pajama pants with magenta stripes on both of them,

" Sorry if I got your size wrong, but I just got what I seemed fit," Steven says,

" They are perfect, thank you Steven," Spinel says, Spinel starts undressing her shirt, Steven lifts his hands towards his eyes,

" Woah! Spinel! I have a bathroom you can change in, follow me," Steven says, Spinel follows behind Steven,

" Here, now you will have some privacy, I'll just be right behind the door and wait for you out here," Steven says, Steven closes the door and waits for Spinel to change into her pajamas, a few minutes later Spinel comes out of the bathroom,

" Hey, Spi- nel..." Steven stutters, Spinel walks over to Steven with her gem clothes in her arms, Steven starts blushing a bit,

" Well, how do they look on me?" Spinel asks,

" T-they look great Spinel," Steven stutters, Steven's face gets a little red,

" Really? They are quite comfy and soft and they fit well, thank you for them again," Spinel says, Spinel gets a little flustered,

" Your welcome Spinel," Steven says,

" Uh, where can I set this?" Spinel asks, holding the clothes in her arms,

" Uh here I can take those, we can set them next to my bed for now so when you wake up they will be hanging up next to the bed so you can get changed," Steven says, Spinel hands Steven her clothes, Spinel gets a little flustered to the fact that Steven was touching her clothes but she didn't mind. Steven puts her clothes on a hanger and hangs them up next to the bed, Steven and Spinel both get back in bed and head to sleep,

" Goodnight Steven, thanks for letting me sleep with you, and for the pajamas," Spinel says,

" Sure thing Spinel goodnight," Steven says, they both head to sleep, Spinel was back at the garden again, she was stuck in the thorns again,

" No, no, no, no, no, why is this happening again!?" Spinel asks herself, again Pink Diamond was nearby,

" P-Pink?" Spinel says, Pink slowly turns her head at Spinel, Pink's eyes and mouth were empty and black, and water started gushing out of the empty holes that were her eyes and mouth. Spinel starts crying, Pink slowly starts getting closer to Spinel, cracks start to form around Pink, when Pink was just arms away from touching Spinel, Pink's arm slowly breaks off and then her entire body started to crack and break,

" SpInEl!" Pink shouted, Spinel woke up in tears, it woke Steven up,

" Woah Spinel, are you ok? Why are you crying?" Steven asks, Spinel keeps crying,

" Shh, Spinel it's ok I'm here, I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere, now tell me what's wrong, what happened?" Steven asks, Steven puts Spinel in his lap, she cries in Steven's chest, holding on to his shirt, Spinel calms down a bit,

" I- I was having another nightmare, I was at the garden again, I saw Pink again but this time it was a bit different, her eyes and mouth were empty and gushing out water, when she was getting near me, cracks started forming all around her and when she was just about to grab me she fell apart into pieces while she said my name," Spinel sobs, she continues crying,

" I- I'm sorry about everything that happened, I'm sorry I tried to destroy your planet and tried to kill you, I'm sorry, I don't get why you're being so nice to me after I've done such a horrible thing, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here right now, I would still probably be waiting on that stupid garden waiting for no one to show up, I don't deserve all of this, I don't deserve this kindness, I don't deserve these friends, I don't deserve this home, I should just be cracked for my actions," Spinel vents, Spinel cries in Steven's lap,

" It's ok Spinel, it's over now, I'm here, you do deserve everything that we've given you, S-Spinel, a lot of people are happy that you are here, I'm happy that your here," Steven says,

" ...Here let me get you something," Steven says, Steven gets up and grabs something from the fridge, he sets the microwave and waits, he brings a mug upstairs,

" Careful it's a bit hot but this is hot cocoa, it will help you sleep better," Steven says, he hands Spinel the mug, Spinel takes a drink,

" S-Steven?" Spinel stutters in her sobs,

" Yeah?" Steven asks,

" Thank you for being my friend, I've just always wanted a friend, I don't know why I wanted to hurt you so badly, I was just built with so much rage and anger at Pink, and seeing that you were the last thing of her, I guess I don't know why I thought that you were still her in there," Spinel says, Steven hugs Spinel, Spinel stretches her arm to the desk to set down her mug, she hugs him back,

" It's ok, I get it, you were angry, and you have every right to be, what my mom did wasn't right but hey now we're past that now, you found a great friend, and I'm glad that your giving this planet another shot," Steven says, Spinel starts crying,

" Thank you..." Spinel says, Spinel slowly starts to fall asleep in Steven's arms, Steven let her stay sleeping on his shoulder for the night,

" Hm, seems like the hot cocoa helped," Steven whispered. He stayed up for a little while on his phone until he got drowsy. Spinel wakes up, laying on Steven's lap, she looked at Steven's face next to her, her head was below his shoulder, Steven was still sleeping, she slowly and quietly gets up so she doesn't wake him, she takes her clothes off the hanger, she looks over at the desk,

" Oh no! I forgot to finish the drink Steven gave me!" She thinks to herself, she goes downstairs to go to the bathroom, Spinel finishes getting dressed,

" ... Wait! DID I JUST SLEEP ON STEVEN'S LAP!?" Spinel shouts, she blushes red, looking back at the thought of when she woke up, she sits on the floor, grabbing her hair, she stands back up and looks in the mirror, she touches her cheeks,

" Why am I getting so flustered over that?" She asks herself, she thinks of the memory again, her face gets redder,

" Uuuuugh! Why is this happening? Why is my face getting so red?" Spinel asks herself, she walks outside of the bathroom all woozy, Steven wakes up and checks his lap,

" Hm, Spinel seemed to wake up," Steven says, He walks downstairs, Spinel was on the couch,

" G-good morning Spinel," Steven says,

" I- Steven! Ah!" Spinel says, she puts her hand in Steven's direction so he wouldn't see her blushing,

" Spinel are you ok?" Steven asks,

" Y-yeah I- I guess I got a little overwhelmed the way we slept last night," Spinel says,

" Oh well I'm sorry, I would have moved you if you wanted but I didn't want to disturb you, you at least didn't seem like you were having a nightmare so I just let you sleep there," Steven says,

" S-sorry I didn't finish the drink," Spinel says,

" No worries, that's hot cocoa doing its job, it's supposed to make you sleepy, which is probably one way that you could have been able to get some good sleep for a change, I'm not upset that you didn't finish it, I at least knew it was going to make you sleepy," Steven says,

" W-would you like me to finish it now?" Spinel asks,

" Well it's probably cold and all gross right now, I'll take care of it," Steven says, Steven walks upstairs and walks near the desk which had the mug on it, he picks up the mug.

" Huh?" Steven says, he stares at the mug, looking at the outer rim of the mug, he looks closer at the mug, his face gets a little red,

" Hm," Steven laughs, He rubs the rim of the mug with his thumb, he brings the mug downstairs and puts it in the sink,

" Hey Steven, do we have any work to do today?" Spinel asks,

" Maybe, but it depends on what the other gems want to do, I suppose they are going to be helping the construction workers on the town but I don't exactly know if we'll be needed," Steven explains, Amethyst walks in,

" Oh, hey love birds, you two were pretty close together last night," Amethyst teases,

" Amethyst! How much did you see last night!?" Steven says, Steven and Spinel look down blushing,

" Oh I saw the whoooooole thaaaang... wait, I mean I definitely wasn't watching you two sleep... for the entire night... while eating popcorn... with Pearl," Amethyst says,

" Uuuugh Amethyst! First Pearl, now you? When do I have to tell you guys not to keep watching me while I sleep!" Steven says,

" Sorry dude, it's just fun, I'm just messing with ya," Amethyst says,

" Ugh forget it, do you know if you guys have anything for me and Spinel to do today?" Steven asks,

" Uh no not really, the rest are doing alright, they told me that I could just come back here to hang out for a bit," Amethyst says,

" Alright, thank you Amethyst," Steven says,

" Well see ya dude, I'm just going to eat some leftover pizza, you have fun doing whatever," Amethyst says,

" Alright well, Spinel was there something you wanted to do today since we're free for the day?" Steven asks,

" Well I wanted to go out to the town if they aren't really working on it and check out some things there, like some food or some new clothes," Spinel says,

" Sure! We can definitely do that!" Steven says.
