Steven wakes up to a bright morning, he stares at the ceiling and yawns,

" Man, last night had me rough, I wonder if Spinel's awake yet," Steven says, He gets up and heads upstairs, he sees Spinel still sleeping in the bed,

" Hm, seems like yesterday seemed to wear her out," Steven says, he walks over to the tent and takes it down, he places the blankets in a drawer, and gently places the pillows back on the bed. He takes the wire and places it on top of a desk, and brings the dirty dishes and the pizza box downstairs, he places the pizza box in the trash and the dishes into the sink, he starts washing them. Spinel wakes up,

" Hm? It's morning and I'm in Steven's bed, I remember falling asleep on the floor, d-did Steven pick me up and put me here!? I should change out of my pajamas," Spinel thinks to herself, Spinel blushes while looking through her clothes and changes into a more relaxed style outfit. She changed into the pink long-sleeve shirt Steven chose for her and some stockings and a skirt, she heads downstairs and sees Steven cleaning the dishes from last night.

" Good morning Steven," Spinel says, Steven stops for a moment to look at Spinel,

" Good morning Spinel, did you sleep ok?" Steven asks,

" Not really, I kept having bad dreams about Pink," Spinel says,

" I kinda kept having bad dreams about my mom as well," Steven says,

" ...Well, what do you want for breakfast?" Steven asks,

" Hm, I don't know much except for donuts and such," Spinel says,

" Alright, I'll prepare you something I've been making for a long time now," Steven says, Steven grabs some waffles and places them in the toaster, he grabs some popcorn and places them in the microwave, the waffles pop out of the toaster and Steven grabs them, the microwave beeps and he grabs the popcorn, Steven stacks a nice tower of waffles and pours syrup on them along with the popcorn and some whipped cream, Steven carefully adds on two strawberries on the top. Spinel looks in amazement,

" This is something I like to call, Together Breakfast! The vast combination that should fully savor the meaning of breakfast, I don't really eat it anymore, one thing because there's not a lot of people to share it with, and also it... tried to kill us one time," Steven explains,

" Wait, this thing tried to kill you, pfft! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Really? How?" Spinel laughs,

" Garnet brought back a scroll of something, and let's say that while in the middle of destroying it, I had rushed in and accidentally kept her from destroying it and it ended up possessing the Together Breakfast which held every power a breakfast could have," Steven explains,

" Wow, that sounds like a time, how'd you stop it?" Spinel asks,

" I pushed it into a pit of lava and yeah, we didn't eat it for about a month after that," Steven says,

" Wow, even someone like you manages to get a breakfast to try to kill you," Spinel says,

" Heh, I don't know what it is, I guess I'm just prone to it ha ha ha ha," Steven laughs, Spinel joins him,

" No but seriously, this thing does look delicious," Spinel says,

" Well we better dig in then," Steven says, Spinel and Steven start gobbling down the Together Breakfast, leaving nothing but just the smears of syrup on the plate. Amethyst walks out of her room,

" Man what's that smell, wait were you guys just eating a Together Breakfast without me!" Amethyst says,

" Yeah, sorry Amethyst, I can make you one," Steven says,

" Uh yes please," Amethyst says, Steven quickly repeats the process of making a Together Breakfast and hands it to Amethyst,

" Thanks, bud," Amethyst says, Amethyst grabs Steven's arm,

" Hey, do you want to talk about what happened last night and everything?" Amethyst asks,

" Oh... no, let's not worry about it too much, you better eat that thing or it'll go cold," Steven says, Amethyst opens her mouth and stuffs the Together Breakfast along with the plate as well in her mouth,

" Jeez Amethyst, slow down," Steven says,

" Do you want some help?" Spinel asks,

" Oh, sure Spinel," Steven says, Spinel walks over next to Steven and helps him clean the dishes, Amethyst tries talking to Steven but can't with the food in her mouth,

" And, done, these dishes are clean, now I just got to set them up to dry, thanks for your help Spinel," Steven says,

" Ah, gee, what are friends for," Spinel says,

" Heheh," Steven laughs, Steven and Spinel grab the plates and set them in a dish holder to dry, Pearl comes out of her room,

" Oh hey you three, we better head down to Little Home World, we have a lot of work to do today and within the next month, so we better get it done so we don't have to worry about it anymore," Pearl explains,

" Aww booo! I don't wanna get up, I just ate a Together Breakfast all in one go, even with the plate," Amethyst groans,

" Wait a Together Breakfast! We haven't had one of those in a long time! A-anyways we still better get up there, come on Amethyst get up," Pearl says,

" Uuuugh fiiiine!" Amethyst groans,

" You two better come along too," Pearl says, Steven, Spinel, Amethyst, and Pearl get on the warp pad,

" Wait where's Garnet?" Steven asks,

" She's already at Little Home World, she wanted to make sure everything was going as planned for today," Pearl explains,

" Ohhh, ok," Steven says, the warp pad lights up and a beam of light sends them to Little Home World. The Little Home World warp pad sends down a beam of light and Steven, Spinel, Amethyst, and Pearl arrive at Little Home World,

" Alright, what's on the agenda today?" Steven asks,

' Well we've got to start patching up the cracks that formed from the injector, we have trucks of dirt and sand that are going to be arriving shortly so we can patch them up, that's what we're mostly doing today," Pearl explains,

" Then when they get patched up, which luckily the cracks that reached Little HomeWorld aren't as big and deep as the ones that lie in Beach City and near home, so we should be able to get it done by the end of the day, and since Steven has mostly helped the environment with his kisses, mostly letting the poison filter through the air, filling the cracks, rebuilding, and fixing the roads, we are all set to be finished, though some changes will be permanent to the landscape, being able to scrape it as close as possible to the original is what we are after so let's get this done," Garnet explains, everyone around her claps,

" Heh," Garnet smirks,

" Spinel, you can become tall, stretch up to see if the trucks are almost here," Pearl says,

" O-ok," Spinel says, she stretches high, Bismuth looks out for them as well on the crane,

" Hmm," Spinel says,

" Oh, I see them! They are almost here," Bismuth says,

" Perfect, being able to fill the cracks here will make it easier, then we can start in Beach City, even though filling them here may take all day," Pearl says, the trucks come to Little Home World and park next to the cracks,

" Ok, ma'am so we are just filling the cracks from here to Beach City?" the construction worker asks,

" Yes, that's correct, we're going to be working on Beach City another time, right now we just want to be able to work from here to Beach City so Beach City can be its own project to work on instead of working on two towns in one go," Pearl explains,

" Ok, got it, ma'am," the construction worker says,

" Alright boys let's go!" the construction worker instructs, they get in their trucks and start backing them up, the gems help them know when to stop and when to pour, and the cracks slowly start getting filled with a mixture of sand and dirt, throughout the day, the cracks slowly get filled up, the gems start working more on Little Home World while the construction workers work on filling the cracks, by the end of the day, just about 75% of the cracks in Little Home World were filled up,

" Man, we've gotten so much done today, I already feel like this will take no time to finish," Amethyst says,

" I predict that it'll at least take a month to finish including Beach City," Garnet says,

" ... Aww man, way to ruin the motivation," Amethyst says,

" Sorry," Garnet apologizes,

" So, what do you feel like watching today?" Steven asks,

" Hmm, well I did fall asleep around DogCopter 3 so maybe we can start there," Spinel says,

" Sounds good to me," Steven says with a bowl of macaroni in his hand, Steven and Spinel get through one and a half movies of DogCopter before they get sleepy, Steven gets up to go downstairs to go to bed,

" Hey guys, can we talk..." Amethyst asks Pearl and Garnet,

" Sorry Amethyst, me and Garnet are getting a schedule and calendar set up to see how fixing Beach City will look, we'll have to talk another time," Pearl says,

" Uuurrrgg it's about Steven!..." Amethyst shouts, Steven stops at the stairs and listens,

" A-about Steven?..." Pearl says,

" Amethyst where is this going," Garnet asks,

" Yeah... yesterday an incident happened where Spinel accidentally played the tape Rose had made for Steven," Amethyst says, Pearl slightly covers her mouth with the tips of her fingers,

" Oh no," Garnet says,

" But then Steven looked upset and he said... that he misses Rose... he wishes he had an actual mother with him, one who can give him a mother's love, now that I think about it, Steven's never had any of that, I mean he's grown up with us and Greg, but Steven's never had an actual mom..." Amethyst explains, Pearl covers her mouth fully with her hands,

" Oh jeez..." Steven whispers, Steven walks downstairs and Pearl looks over at him, almost in tears,

" H-hey guys..." Steven says,

" S-Steven... come sit with us... let's have a talk," Garnet says,

" Ok..." Steven says quietly,

" Steven... we've all loved your mom... more than anything, having to see her go... was one of the most heartbreaking experiences we've ever faced, our Rose was now gone, but that gave us you, we're sorry we didn't see this sooner... I didn't see this sooner...we would have at least made it feel like she was still here, or at least make it feel like you've had a mother figure, we know you miss her and have wanted to meet her..." Garnet explains,

" S-STEVEN!" Pearl cries, Pearl hugs Steven while she cries on his shoulders,

" Pearl..." Steven says,

" I-I'm sorry, *sniffle*... Rose... has always wanted to meet you, she wished she could have been there for you in your life, we all never expected for her to have to stay with us like this but... this is everything she wanted, she wanted to have you, she loves you, remember in the video she made you? when you love yourself, that's her... loving you, with everything she has... she's never left your side, even though her physical form doesn't exist anymore... she's still with you... forever, watching the experiences you've made, and watching you grow... so if you're ever missing her, remember to look at your gem and smile, and make sure to love yourself, because that's her deep inside telling you that she loves you..." Pearl explains,

" Pearl..." Steven says, his eyes get watery,

" Come on, let's give him some space, I'm sure we all know he's tired, let's let him get some rest," Garnet says, everyone gets up but Steven, they all look at him before walking to their rooms, Steven watches as everyone goes into their room, Steven turns the lights off and lays down on the couch, he closes his eyes and goes to sleep.
