This is the first chapter for my new Secret Saturdays story hope you all enjoy. I do not own S.S. wish I did.

"And I can't wait to show the world what I find at the big red X." 'My my... it seems that Argost has something of interest. 'I thought as I watched V. V. Argost's weird world.

I've been watching this man for two years, he was the man that destroyed my home and family. V. V. Argost is a cruel,grotesque man that will do anything for power, his 'work' consists of using creatures called cryptids; a strange collective of supernatural beings that lurk throughout the world in shadows. Not many people know of their existence, but the few that do are called secret scientists. There were two families in the secret scientists community to take cryptids on as a line of work. My parents, and the Saturdays.

It wasn't till a few years ago that everything for me changed. Argost killed my parents.

After their death I was left utterly alone and had to become a prodigy of their work in order to survive. I secretly took up their studies, having some knowledge of their research to begin with. At the age of nine I showed a strange power that accidentally helped to stop a cryptid attack on Thai Won. They analyzed my 'ability' but never discovered what I had, yet I showed promise and studied under my mother Dawn and my father Sai Izawa.

When I was around nine we were researching in the Himalayas when it happened. We were studying a rare species of cryptids called the Polisian Raptor. A species only found in the depths of the mountains tunnels. We had just found the nest and were documenting the species living patterns when he arrived.

~ Flashback~

"Mother! Father!" I yelled as I watched a group of eggs hatching.

"Yes Kai, my goodness what is it?" My mother Dawn asked coming from around an ice wall, several raptors at her feet.

"Mommy, mommy the raptors are hatching! Look their so cute!" I watched as tiny little blue and white raptors hatched from the eggs, walking towards their mother. That was the last time I saw mine. In the next few moments there was an explosion and a deep laugh.

"Greetings and beyond the news, it's so good to see you again Dawn and Sai Izawa." A man with white hair and a hunchback in a black coat and another larger man with white skin, red hair with an eye patch emerged from the huge hole in the wall. The white haired man stared at my mother like a hawk hungry for its prey.

"Kai get behind the wall it has a cavity you can squeeze into. We'll come get you when we're done." She said as she pushed me towards the wall.

"But mom I ca-" I tried to protest but she wouldn't have it.

"NO! Kai this is not up for debate get behind the wall! NOW!" The next thing I know there was a blast of energy and I was shoved into the wall hitting my head... I blacked out.

When I woke up I was laying on the ice floor, looking out I saw my parent's equipment thrown across the floor and my mother's duel ice and lightning swords just outside the entrance of the wall crack I was in. Crawling out and looking around I saw the entire place was destroyed nothing remained except a few of the raptors that were uninjured and my parent's equipment, research materials, and the keys to the jet. My parents were nowhere in sight.

I gathered all the equipment and patched up any surviving raptors. My body was numb as I worked, I was just moving through the motions. After I checked that everything was stable I started off, and onto the jet flying back home all my parents' belongings with me as I felt they weren't coming back.

~ one year later~

I started studying my parent's research, starting with their equipment, what I found was a recording of my mother getting attacked by Argost and his minion. It recorded everything up to the part where she was knocked out, after that... static. I held a small funeral for them myself, no bodies no mess right? A small shrine was erected in my room. No one came because no one knew at first and I was all alone... well not completely alone. When got back to my parents HQ I noticed a small baby raptor had snuck its way into my bag undetected. I named him Rex, not original but it worked. He became my only companion until the secret scientists found out about the accident.

I was sitting in my room going through data log after data log, a knock was heard. I thought it weird seeing as how I lived literally on an island. In the middle of an ocean. Who would've thunk? A ten year old surviving alone on an island?

The door was hacked open. Yells for my parents were heard. Stealing myself I walked down into the line of fire. There before me stood a handful of powerful people. Secret Scientists. They asked me where my parents were. I told them the events from a year ago. Then the questions. Then the whole you can't live alone.

"Kai please come and live with one of us, you are far too young to be living on your own especially in this house." Doctor Cheechoo said in a pleading manner. He and other secret scientists Doctor Henry Cheveyo, Doctor Aurther Beeman, and Doctor Miranda Grey had found out about my parents after a year of them not responding to urgent messages.

On the anniversary of their death they came to me finding out my parents weren't the ones sending the reports or research but that it was a ten year old girl. They questioned me about why and I had to tell them...

"I am sorry Dr. Cheechoo but I can't, I need to continue what my parents started. They trained me and all of you have seen my abilities even before, my parents..." I looked towards the floor non shed tears threatening to overflow.

"Oh honey, we just don't want anything to happen to you, your parents were good friends of ours and now..." Miranda said embracing me and she let silent tears fall.

~ End Flashback~

I was brought out of my thoughts when Rex nudged my back. He's gotten as big as a full sized Komodo dragon and has helped me countless times when I was in trouble. I thought back as I stroked his head. Then a report came up on the news of a large blue creature running around Tokyo, Japan? 'Oh god, not good.' I thought as I watched the creature in the screen running on a train top followed by a woman with white hair and a man with white and black, a strange gorilla cat creature, Komodo dragon, and a young boy around my age.

"Rex we're going." I said as I grabbed my coat and the keys to my jet. Strapping in I hacked into the news feed all across Japan seeing the monster was going towards Tokyo harbor.

"Computer call Doc Saturday."

"Patching through... Connected." As Doc's face comes on the screen.

"Hello? Who is this?" He asks as I see him throw a man on the harbor and Drew fighting in the background.

"Hello good to see you again it's me Kai. I was wondering if you needed help with the problem at hand." I asked as I hovered over the scene shooting some of the guards before I landed. Stepping out with Rex I see all the guards out cold and the creature that I can now classify as a Hibagon talking with Doc and Drew before it retreats. Then all eyes are on me.

"Oh Kai, so good to see you! But where are Sai and Dawn?" Drew asked, she and my mother grew up together in a Tibetan monk temple the two were like sisters. No one has told the Saturdays about the accident yet I have been uncovering things on my own around the world and sending them reports in place my parents and always signing it with their name.

"Mom and Dad are away and won't be back for a long time." I say my eyes on the floor.

"Wait so they left you alone? And you drove a jet here on your own?" Doc asked staring at me strangely.

""Why yes, they trust me you see, call me a prodigy. Their off somewhere. I stay home and study." I try to sound convincing. God why did I decide to leave the house?

"Mom, Dad if she can drive a jet then why can't I?" Their son asks with the tall cat creature behind him nodding. Rex notices them and starts hissing. I pet his head to calm him down.

"No Zak you are not driving a jet plane, she shouldn't even be doing it. Kai how long are your parents away for? And why did they leave you alone?" Doc asks getting closer to me, I step back hesitantly.

"Uhm... it seems you have everything under control here so bye! Nice to see you again." I say as I ran back to the jet and flew away to take care of some unfinished business

~Zak POV~

We were fighting the guards when a jet came outta nowhere and blasted the remaining ones down. When it landed the only person to come out was a girl around my age she looked pale as a ghost and had red eyes. Which was weird she could be a vampire... Next to her was a large lizard about the size of Komodo, it was white with ice blue fin things. I was so distracted I didn't notice the others were talking.

"Wait so they left you alone? And you drove a jet here on your own?" Dad asked staring at her strangely. After he got closer she got really uncomfortable and was nervous, her lizard thing watching her closely before retreating to the jet.

"Uhm... it seems you have everything under control here so bye, nice to see you again." She said before she ran to the jet taking off.

Well there it was I hope you all liked it I know I liked writing it XD. This will follow the series as closely as possible. I also just kinda wanna put this out for consensus? I mean I dont really care if people read it; its just kind of for me. But I will be posting it here incase anyone stumbles across it. okay BYE
