16 - Closer

Katsuki Bakugou is sick.

At least that's what other people say. It really is annoying, that everyone around him thinks something is wrong with him. He does a lot of things that people might consider sick, but most of them are centered around someone in particular.

The man with the shining eyes and smile. Katsuki has been in love with him since they were children, but the other male can't even take a glance in his direction. Katsuki's whole purpose in life is to make the other notice him. It doesn't matter how.

He guesses that this determination is what other people call a 'sickness'. He doesn't really care about what happens to himself or to other people, just that his goal is reached. Hes been trying for so long, just for him. Even if he doesn't know the sacrifices Katsuki has made, that doesn't matter. He just wants to be with him.

Katsuki is at a party. One of the loudest he's ever been to if he's being honest. There are people dancing, grinding on each other in a drunken stupor, and it smells like everyone just took a swim in a pool filled with cheap beer.

His nose scrunches up and his lips press together in annoyance. His best friend, one of the only people who dare not call Katsuki sick, gives him a smile. His nose and corner of his eyes crinkle. Hes clearly happy, if his little dancing does anything to signal him.

He rolls his eyes and looks around the room again, letting the red head guide him through the room. The ball of energy jumps from place to place, giving people pats on the back or loud greetings that are mostly yells and laughs.

Katsuki isn't much of a social butterfly, but he still gets small smiles and waves. Other people think he's cool, but it doesn't really matter because the one person he wants to be noticed by doesn't.

Though it's probably because he hangs around with the idiots, well they don't leave him alone, and they are considered popular by the rest of the brainless masses. Finally, they are in the center of the living room, where people are dancing on tables and throwing stuff at a flat screen TV attached to the wall.

The clean freak in him screams at the mess, but he chooses to ignore it. Not his house, not his problem. Someone is talking to him but it's hard to tell what they're saying with the loud music and thousands of other people around them. Some kid with a comic bubble on his shirt. They get a slap on the shoulder from Kirishima, who gets one back.

Uninterested, Katsuki's eyes wonder around yet again. Then he spots him. Green eyes avoid eye contact with the person in front of him, an extra that Katsuki doesn't bother to look at. Hes wearing a white T Shirt with the words 'Party Shirt' and black pants and those red shoes he always wears.
