The Ice Rink

Felix finally made it to school after a long drive.

He was still a little new to school.

He had only been going for about two weeks, and still didn't exactly know where everything was in the school.

Once he made it to the front hall, he noticed a poster for an ice skating class on the school information wall.

He walked up to the paper and looked at it closely. His eyes light up in excitement as he continues to read the paper.

He remembers how amazing it was to ice skate when he was at his previous school.

He decided that he could finally continue his old hobby, which he unfortunately had to drop since he moved here.

After he finished going to his morning classes, it was finally time for lunch.

Felix went to go get food, still thinking about the poster he saw.

When he walked to a lunch table to go sit down, he started to daydream. That's when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Hey... Earth to Felix? What are you thinking about, geez.." The person talking to Felix was his sister, Ashley.

She was known for being sassy and a little snotty, but she has a good heart, and she's a great sister. She's very popular with many friends.

She always had someone looking at her with this look in their eyes. As if they were dreaming of getting down on their knees and propose to her.

Felix jumped a little and looked over at his sister and chuckled to himself.

"Heh.. Sorry Ash, I just saw a poster, and I thought it would be fun." Felix's voice was quiet.

He hardly even spoke a perfect sentence. Usually, he didn't make any sense.

"What poster? You've always been so great at explaining things!" Ashley said sarcastically and gave him a tired look. As if it's the first time he's been like this.

"Oh! Right. My bad.", "I saw a poster for ice skating. I was just considering if I should join or not. I mean... the poster said you need a partner and you know I'm not really good at.. I guess lifting people up and helping the female do the stunts.", "You know those are amazing to show off and receive more points for it, but I'm not good at doing it."

"Have you ever thought about doing the female role yourself?" Ashley asked.

"What..! I mean... No, I haven't." he never really thought about it like that. Maybe it could help him in the long run.

"I think you should go to the ice rink after school and try to practice to see if you still got it. If you think you can, contact the ice skating teacher and book a class.", "Make sure to try out for the female part, I think it might really help you. Ashley explains to him, making sure he understands her fully.

"Yea... Yea. I might just do that.", "Thank you so much, Ash!"

Felix is now so excited for after school.

He can't wait to see what he can do.

...(After School)...

He walks into the ice rink.

His breath is slow and steady.

He was happy that he was going to the new school that provided ice skating classes.

He changed out of his school shoes and into his ice skates.

He gently laced the shoes but made sure they were tight.

The boy pulled his leggings over the ice skates, then put his leg warmers over them.

Once he finished putting his ice skates on properly, he put his hair up.

He has a bun up with braids on the sides of his head.

He walked over to the rink, holding on tightly to the side.

It was a long time since he had been on the ice.

The boy closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

He exhaled, then let go of the wall.

He pushed himself onto the ice, gliding across as if he were an angel.

Someone heard the skates on the ice and turned to see Felix skating.

The person smiled.

He watched Felix skate around the ice from outside the door before entering the room.

He sat down, watching closely with a glint in their eyes.

Felix didn't notice the person and continued to skate around spinning, jumping around, and enjoying his time.

With his performance coming to an end, Felix suddenly stopped.

He looked up with his arms held out, pointing to his sides.

That's when he heard clapping.

He quickly dropped his arms and turned his head to see where the sound was coming from.

His face was flushed red as he saw a man looking at him. He wasn't sure what to do.

His feet were frozen in place.

The man had his skates on and stepped into the rink with a smile still plants onto his face.

"That was some incredible skating there." The man's voice was calming and came off very sweet.

He continued, "I would love to know the name behind those moves."

It took Felix a second before he stammered, "M-my name is Felix.", "I had no idea you were watching me. I-" Felix was suddenly cut off.

"No need to worry, darling. You were amazing. I'm Lawrence. It's a pleasure to meet you."

As Lawrence introduced himself, he took hold of Felix's hand and gently placed his lips on it.

"Such a lovely name suits you beautifully." Lawrence said, his eyes almost heart-shaped.

Felix was a bit confused. He'd never been looked at like the way Lawrence is looking at him.

He knew it was the same look he'd seen many people have given his sister.

Felix pulled his hand away and gave a small smile, "Well, thank you for the compliment, but I should really get going. Thank you."

Felix waved him bye before turning away and quickly skating off.

He took his skates off as quickly as possible, then changed back into his shoes.

Lawrence smiled and chuckled softly as he watched Felix leave the room in such a rush.

Lawrence then skated off the ice and changed out of his skates to his normal shoes.

Felix made his way out of the school as quickly as he could.

He wasn't one for socializing with others, nor talking about his skills.

Felix sat down on a bench, waiting for the bus to come by for him to go home.

That's when he noticed another person in a hood, sitting next to him.

He was on his phone, though I wasn't sure what he was looking at.

Felix did get the vibe that it was most likely something bad and ended up staying quiet, hoping not to draw attention to himself.

That's when he felt their breath against his ear.

He didn't say anything, mostly out of fear, but he could tell the person was smelling him.

Once Felix noticed the bus, he quickly stood up and got money from his bag to give to the driver.

That's when the person yanked the money out of Felix's hand and shoved the money back into Felix's bag. Felix was not only stunned but confused.

Then, the strange man had put some of his money into Felix's hand. Then, he walked into the bus.

Felix wasn't sure how to react, but he didn't want to miss the bus, so he quickly got on and paid for his seat.

Felix sat down and pulled his phone out to look at the time.

He then sighed and then grabbed his headphones and put them on to listen to music, waiting until he made it home.

Once he made it home, he walked inside and stopped in the kitchen to get what was left for him to eat, then went to his room.

He sat at his desk and got the homework out of his bag and ate while he worked on the homework.

Once Felix finished both his food and homework, he went to go clean the bowl and then brushed his hair and teeth.

He lay in bed, doing his best to fall asleep...
