CHAPTER : 29

Author's POV

Pakhi woke up, her heart racing with panic at the thought of Arhaan being hurt. The worry gnawed at her, making it impossible to sit calmly.

"Arhaan ji, aap kaise hain?" she whispered, her eyes brimming with tears.

She spent the entire night pacing around the room .

"Pakhi, tumhe kahi jaana hai kya?" Ryan questioned her.

"Haan ji, mein 2 baje tak vapas aa jaungi," Pakhi replied.

"Par jana kahan hai?" he asked again, while having breakfast.

Pakhi paused for a moment, contemplating her answer. "Bas kuch zaroori kaam hai, Ryan. Jaldi aa jaungi," she responded, trying to avoid giving too much detail.

"Jana kahan hai?" Ryan inquired again.

"Ek hotel mein jana hai, vahan performance hai. Happy now?" she answered, a bit exasperated.

After breakfast, Shiv offered, "Mein drop kar dun tumhe?"

"Aree, aap log kyun tension le rahe ho? Mein chali jaungi aur time se vapas bhi aa jaungi," she said, messing up Ryan's hair and running off.

Ryan looked in the car's mirror and blushed. "Dhyan rakhna uska, time se aa jani chahiye voh," Ryan said, controlling his smile, to Shiv as he left.

Shiv nodded his head. "Inka kuch nahi ho sakta," he muttered, shaking his head with a smile, and then went upstairs to their flat.

The next morning, when Victor entered Arhaan's room, he found it in complete disarray. Arhaan was nowhere to be seen, and the walls bore bloodstains where Arhaan had punched them in frustration.

Without wasting a second, Victor called Amrit. "We need to meet immediately," he said urgently before hanging up.

Determined to find Arhaan, Victor left the room and began his search.

On the other side, deep in the forest, a six-foot trench had been dug.

Arhaan unlocked his car, and two figures emerged, their faces covered with black cloths, making it impossible to tell if they were boys or girls. He untied their hands.

"If you survive, don't even think about showing your faces again, or you won't know what will happen," Arhaan warned before pushing them into the trench.

"Arhaan, stop doing this fucking shit and take us out!" a girl's voice shouted. It was Maya, aggressively jerking her hands and legs.

Arhaan smirked and ordered his guards, "Slowly fill the trench with soil. Bury them gradually, not all at once."

"Now fuck your asses here," Arhaan smirked, before turning and heading back to his hotel, leaving them alone in the forest.

He picked up a bottle of whiskey, taking a long, hard swig and finishing half of it in one go. The alcohol burned down his throat, but he barely noticed as he drove back to the hotel, his mind clouded with anger and frustration.

On the other side of town, Pakhi got dressed for work, her thoughts still preoccupied with Arhaan. She gave the hotel address to her driver, feeling a mix of anxiety and determination.

As soon as she arrived at the hotel, the receptionist greeted her and escorted her to the room. She thanked the receptionist, who then returned to the front desk. Pakhi knocked on the door, but there was no response. She knocked again, a bit louder this time, but still, no one answered. Noticing the door was slightly ajar, she decided to step inside.

The room was dark, with only a faint sliver of light coming through the curtains. She squinted, trying to make out shapes in the dimness. She called out softly, "Hello? Is anyone here?"

Suddenly, she felt a strong arm wrap around her waist from behind, pulling her close. She inhaled sharply and began coughing as the stench of alcohol and smoke overwhelmed her senses. The man who held her was clearly intoxicated, his grip tight and unsteady.

Pakhi was trying desperately to get rid of his grip, but she was unable to break free.

The man tied her hands behind her back and pushed her onto the bed. He then turned on the lights, illuminating the room with a harsh glare. Pakhi blinked against the sudden brightness, her fear intensifying as she struggled against the restraints.

"Please, mujhe jaane do, please," Pakhi pleaded, seeing him step closer. She could sense his wrong intentions and struggled desperately to escape.

"Kaise jaane dun? 3 din ke paise diye hai maine," he said, advancing toward her.

In a burst of determination, Pakhi managed to untie her hands. She grabbed a lamp and smashed it over his head, creating a momentary distraction as she tried to escape from the room.

But before she could reach the door, the man grabbed her arm, tearing her sleeve. She slipped, and her head crashed against the wall. Blood trickled down her forehead, and her vision started to blur as her eyes grew heavy.

"Sali ra*di," he cursed, grabbing Pakhi by her hair and delivering a brutal slap that made her nose start bleeding. Despite her efforts to defend herself, throwing things at him, she received a barrage of slaps to her face.

He forcefully pushed her onto the bed, his intentions becoming clearer and more menacing with each passing moment. Pakhi fought with all her strength, but the man's aggression overwhelmed her, leaving her bruised and helpless in his grasp.

Pakhi managed to break free from the room, hastily covering herself with her dupatta as she ran outside. The man pursued her, shouting and trying to catch her, but she kept running, her face concealed by the dupatta.

In her panicked escape, Pakhi collided with someone outside. Despite the collision, she didn't stop and continued running, desperate to get away. Unbeknownst to her, the person she collided with was Arhaan.

Arhaan quickly grasped the situation as he saw the wounds on Pakhi's hands. Anger surged within him as he realized what had transpired. He intercepted the man chasing Pakhi and confronted him.

"What are you chasing her for? What happened?" Arhaan demanded, his voice edged with fury.

"This bitch stole my money and ran off!" the man spat back.

Hearing those words, Arhaan's temper flared. Without hesitation, he delivered a powerful punch to the man's face, causing his nose to bleed profusely. The man cried out in pain, but Arhaan didn't stop there; he struck him again, silencing his protests.

Arhaan then dragged the man back into his hotel room and tied him to a chair, seething with anger at the man's behavior and the way he had treated Pakhi.

"Acting all rude after disrespecting others," Arhaan muttered to himself, frustrated with the man's audacity.

Meanwhile, Pakhi continued running outside the hotel. As she sprinted, her dupatta slipped from her face and fell to the ground, leaving her exposed and vulnerable in her distress.

Inside a nearby car, a man noticed Pakhi's frantic state and rushed out in shock at her condition.
