Chapter 34

Doeun's POV

School went by, and Yeonjun was avoiding me more throughout the day. I tried to ignore it as much as I could, but I couldn't help but feel like it was something I did to upset him.

I was about to walk home but I felt a hand jerk me back, and catch me. Thinking it was Yeonjun and that he finally wasn't mad at me anymore, I turned around with glee, only to find...

That guy from earlier, Kim Hansung...?

"You don't look happy to see me," He chuckled and I gave a quick smile.

"O-oh, it's just you." I said in disappointment. "Why are you here?"

Hansung gave me a warm smile and he pointed to my stain, "To pay for that. And also because I wanted to take you out for coffee,"

I fumbled with my fingers.

"H-Hansung, I have a boyfriend." I tried to push him away with my words but he just chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'm not hitting on you." He reassured me, "I only feel bad for ruining your school uniform."

I nodded my head slowly, but even a stranger like him being nice was too good to be true.

Hansung beamed suddenly, "So how about I take you out for coffee and a quick shopping spree?"

I bit my lips, "I don't know..."

"Ey, don't worry. I won't eat you up or kill you or something. It'll just take a few hours." He smiled.

I sighed and finally agreed. "Okay, if it's only for a few hours."

"How about this one?" He pointed to a super short skirt and tank top. I shook my head.

I picked up a tan colored sweater and a checkered and striped brown skirt. Not only was it pretty simple, it looked similar to my school uniform.

Not the color though, it showed the right amount of skin and when I said that I'll pick these,

Hansung shook his head. I cocked my head in confusion.

"You need more." He smiled, "It's on me, don't worry. Go ahead and pick some more."

I gave an apologetic smile but refused, "Oh no, this one is just fine."

Hansung gave me a thumbs up and he requested to take a picture of me. I gave him the okay and he snapped a few photos of me.

As we walked to the coffee shop in the department store, I noticed how much Hansung looked at other women. Whenever I would catch him staring somewhere, it was either a woman or her purse...

"What do you want to drink?" He asked me.

"Just a mocha, thanks." I smiled and sat down at a nearby small table.

The coffee shop was such a pretty place, I couldn't help but take pictures everywhere.

Hansung came back with two drinks and set them on the table also putting his phone next to it.

"Hey, do you have Instagram?" He suddenly asked me, and I nodded.

"Cool, what's your username? I want to follow you," Hansung replies.

I gave him my username and he requested to follow me. All of his posts had so many likes to them, it was no brainer that he was one of the bad boys.

"Your photos are nice," I complimented and he smiled.

"You're very pretty," He said and I expected myself to blush, but I didn't.

After talking for an hour, I realized Hansung was really nice and he was good to have as a friend. Apparently, he wasn't attending school but he worked as a DJ at a club.

"Hey Doeun? It's getting pretty late. I'll take you home." He said glancing at his watch. I nodded and grabbed my bag.

The night was still busy and there were many people performing and lots of street food stands open.

We both heard a growl from his stomach. I pointed to it a snickered.

"Why not have a snack?" He pulled me to a corn dog stand and he insisted on buying me one. He snapped a photo of me eating the snack and I just smiled into the camera.

We spotted a busker having a performing some songs into a mic. The crowd around the buskers were all cheering and having a good time. Suddenly, Hansung grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the crowd, making me dance with him to the beat.

I was hesitant at first but he motioned me to join in and the crowd started cheering more. We ended up jamming to the beat and mingling for a few minutes.

I felt light, and was sweaty from the dancing but I did have fun from Hansung.

I felt bad, because I should have been worried about Yeonjun, but here I was having fun with Hansung. It was obvious that I only liked him as a friend, but I was worried that Yeonjun would have different views.

"So what brought you here to my school?" I asked him. I wasn't superstitious about him being a serial killer or anything, just how it happened...

"Oh, I was supposed to meet with one of the superintendents for a janitor job," He scratched his head, "Being a DJ doesn't make that much."

I chuckled and nodded, "That might be true but it seems realistic."

Hansung sighed and he nodded.

"Well, we're finally here Doeun." Hansung smiled at me. "Your house."

I gave him a small smile and nodded. "Thank you for today. Maybe I'll go to one of your DJ concerts?"

Hansung ruffled my hair, "Maybe. Goodnight Doeun."

He walked off and I went inside to my house. The house was cold as usual, and I just met Hansung, but he wasn't the type of fun that I felt like having.

I wanted to see Yeonjun, but I didn't know how and why he was mad at me.

Ah, whatever, I should just leave him alone for now.

The next morning, I saw that the group chat with TXT was spammed.

SoobinHeart: ! There's a new post that has Doeun's face all over it!

Suzy_Choi: No way! Really? Who is it?

Taehyun: Yep, here's the link, @hansung_Kim
