Seirin tried to make a basket but the ball bounced off the rim.

Wakamatsu caught it and passed it to his teammate. "Alright, take this!"

"What are you going to say this time?" Imayoshi said as he jumped to score a basket, Izuki tried to stop him but failed.

"When you heard Aomine would be late, I bet you thought you should score as many points as you can. Sorry, I guess I misspoke. We're only an opening act compared to Aomine. We're probably stronger than you." Imayoshi said

"Sorry!" Sakurai said as he shoot the ball.

Sakurai missed the shot, but the others helped him score the basket.

Their care for their team is minimal, and there's no coordination at all. Their offense and defense is all one-on-one. They just get the ball themselves and score themselves.

"I see. I expected some of this, but that's your style." Izuki said.

"That's right. Our team gathered athletes from across the country. The more skilled a player is, the stronger his sense of self. We've been trying all sorts of things in the last few years, though. More than holding hands and playing nice, this way works best. We're both offensive teams. This game should be interesting." Imayoshi said.

"I don't know how interesting it will be, I'm not even sure we're the same type. Our style is full team play." Izuki said as he got past Imayoshi and passed the ball to Mitobe.

Then Mitobe passed the ball to Hyuga, who scored the basket with a three-pointer.

"I don't plan on losing this game. Tell your captain, you apologetic mushroom." Hyuga said to Sakurai.

"What? Sorry!"

Imayoshi laughed. "I didn't hear what you said, but I understood something... from your play!" He passed the ball to Wakamatsu.

"Between our individual style and your coordinated style, let's see whose style is better." Imayoshi said.

"I called it team play. Most people forget." Izuki said.

Kagami ran towards and jumped up to catch the ball.

"Nice, Kagami!" Izuki praised.

"Those little shits have really done it now!" Wakamatsu said.

Izuki then passed the ball to Kagami, who shoot the ball and tried to do a one man alley-oop, but Momoi had predicted this, the Touou player blocked Kagami.

Mitobe received the ball and tried to do a hook shot but Wakamatsu smacked the ball out of his hand.

Hyuga then got the ball but he was guarded by Sakurai.

"Bring it back, Hyuga!" Izuki said.

lzuki passed the ball to Hyuga, with Kuroko screening Sakurai.

Hyuga passed the ball to Kagami, who made the dunk.

"Alright, nice, Kagami!" Hyuga said.

"Good work as usual, Kuroko!" Izuki said.

The buzzer went off, the first quarter ended.

"The more data you have, the more accurate it is." Riko said.

"She must have been researching the second-years for a whole extra year." Eliza said.

"However, there's considerably less information about you two. Kuroko-kun is difficult to predict, and Kagami-kun is still developing. If there's anyone who can counter Momoi, it's you two." Riko said.

"Okay, it's up to you guys!" Hyuga said.

"Give them hell, rookies!" Riko said.

The buzzer went off.

Izuki passed the ball to Kuroko, he used Ignite Pass. Kagami caught it as he made a dunk.

"Oh well." Imayoshi said.

When Kagami landed, he felt the pain in his legs.

"I'll kick it all to the curb and jump!" Kagami said.

"Two in a row!"

"Kagami's on fire!"

"This is an emergency! Koganei-senpai, get in as soon as possible!" Eliza said.

The buzzer went off. "Seirin! Member change."

"Kagami! Change!"

"What? Why me? We're just getting started."

"Just go back! Eliza-chan had noticed." Koganei said.

Kagami then sat down on the bench.

"Your injured legs haven't fully healed yet, have they?" Eliza asked.

"I'm fine! I'm totally-"

"Well.. you're not sick and there's nothing wrong with you, so I won't tell you not to play." Riko added.

"Yeah.. and I'm going to tape your legs. Take off your shoes." Eliza said.

The game continued but without Kagami, many things changed in the team.

"Please, just hang in there." Kagami said.

"Calm down, Kagami! Have a little more faith in everyone." Tsuchida said.

"I know! We'll beat Touou with team play!"

"That should do it. This should get you through this game. You can go." Eliza said.

"All right! Thanks."

"Seirin, member change!"

"That's it, show some spirit so you can entertain me, even a little." Aomine said while putting his arm around Kagami's shoulder.

"You bastard! Aomine!"

"You're finally here? Hurry up and get ready so you can play!" Imayoshi said.

"What? But you're winning. There's only one minute left in the second quarter, anyway." Aomine said.

"No, you have to play." Touou's coach said.

"Fine. Well, let's go." Aomine said.
