Y/N's POV:
I wake up this morning and I walk into the kitchen to feed my cat. When I walk into the kitchen I can see Adrien's already downstairs cooking breakfast.

"Hey, how ya feeling love?" I ask him and give him a hug. "I'm feeling great. I think we should try to go to school today. And Alix and Kim are having a race today and I'd like to be there to cheer them on. You cool with that?" He asks. "Yea, that's cool with me, I just have to make sure ms,Chamack gets her book order from the shop downstairs. She'll be here in twenty minutes to pick it up." "Okay, that's cool with me." He replies while picking up my plate of food.

Time skip 10 minutes:
Adrien and I are finishing up washing our dishes when I get a phone call from Alya. "Hey girl, just a heads up the race starts in 10 minutes! Are you coming by yourself?" She asks me. "Thanks for the reminder, and actually I'm bringing Adrien too as he's feeling better today and wants to watch the race." I tell her. "Okay cool. I better go, I have a few more things to prepare for before the race starts. Cya later." She says and hangs up.

"Who was that?" Adrien asks me. "It was Alya, she was calling to remind us that the race starts in 10 minutes." I reply to him. "Isn't Ms.Chamack coming in 10 minutes?" He asks me. "Yes she is, but my dad is working the shop so we can go out to watch the race." I reply to him. "Your dad is the best!" He says and kisses my nose, and of course I scrunch my nose up.

"We should probably get going then if we want to make it on time." I say to him. "Yea. You're right, okay let's go." He replies. "Wait a second Love!" I say. "What's up?" He asks. "Take your crutches. You know you get tired and I don't feel like carying you, no offence." I tell him. "Aww do I have to?" He whines. "Okay, I guess we can just stay here then-" I'm cut off by him saying, "okay, okay. I'll take them. You're a meanie though." He replies like a child. "Yea, but that's why you love me. Isn't it?" I ask. "Yes." He sighs. "I know you don't like them. But I don't want you to over tire yourself, Love." I tell him and grab his hand. "Okay Y/N." He replies and walks off to find his crutches. Then we leave for the race.

At the race:
Adrien and I arrive at the racing place and we decide to help Alya set up, not to long later Marinette shows up with the banner for the race, she showed everybody it. The banner looked great, she really did a wonderful job. Then Kim spoke up saying "You all picked the wrong side to be cheering on. Looks like Alix isn't even going to show up! Probably too chicken to race an extreme athlete like me."

Then Alix comes gliding through "Spoke too soon, Kim," everybody cheered her on. "Your ridiculous bets are over. I'm gonna leave you in the dust, meathead!" She says.
Kim scuffs . "You're no match for me. My neck is bigger than your thigh." I laugh at him. "Is that a good thing?" I ask Adrien, he just laughs and grabs my hand.

Then max pushes Kim and Alix away from each other, and reviews the rules of the race. "If I'm triumphs, Alix will relinquish her roller blades to him, if Alix triumphs, Kim will be prohibited from making another date for the rest of the school year!" Then several people from the crowd comment saying this like "we're through will all of those stupid dares!" "Uh-huh, that's right!" "No more dares!"

Then max starts the countdown, "On your marks, get set..." "Hold up!" Alix says and Kim falls, I couldn't help but snicker. "Forfeiting already?" Kim asks her. Alix hands Alya her watch and says "Hold onto this for me, will ya, Alya? I don't wanna drop it during the race."

"Hold on girl, I can't I gotta..." Alya is cut off by Alix. "Guard it with your life. It's a family heirloom!" "But..." Alya says, then hands Marinette the watch. "Marinette, take this. I gotta record the race for my blog!" Then max restarts the countdown, "On your marks, get set, Go!" And Alix and Kim start racing.

Marinette speaks up saying "Alya, she asked you to hold onto it. I have to hold up the banner!" She turns to me and says "Y/N! Can you hold this for me? It's Alix's." "Uh, sure. I can try!" I say, and she hands me the watch. "Okay, I got it..." I say then I'm cut off by the end of the banner of holding being tugged on and I drop the watch. It seems to be falling in slow motion, slowly falling.

Before it hit the ground, Adrien sticks his hand out to catch it, he says "need some help?" "Yeah, that would be great love!" I reply. "Last lap!" Max yells. Then Chloé comes up to us and says "Adrikins, whatcha got there. Some super old case or something?"

Adrien almost yells at her, saying "Chloé, stop calling me that! I'm dating Y/N. Also would be careful, it's Alix's!" Chloé looks stunned for a second then speaks up, "If it's Alix's it probably worthless, just like Y/N!" I gasped at this statement and I felt tears rise to my eyes, I looked at Adrien and I could see the anger in his eyes. He pulled me close and hugged me, "Y/N is no where close to being worthless! She has made my life so much better. Now hand over the watch!"

I've never seen him so mad. Chloé looks at us then opens the watch and gasps, dropping the watch onto the raceway and Alix's roller blades roll over it and break it. "Yeah! Ha ha ha!" She says then looks behind her and gasps.

"I call a rematch! That false start back there threw me off! Uh..." Kim says. Alix skates off with her broken watch and says to Alya "Did you do this?" Alya speaks up, "I had to videotape the race so I gave it to Marinette, but then she had to hold the banner so she gave it to Y/N, who gave it to Adrien, then Chloé snatched it from him and dropped it and, uh, then you skates over it."

Alix yelled "My old man gave me this for my birthday! This watch is totally a family heirloom!" Marinette tried to speak but all she could get out was "It was an accident!" "We didn't mean any harm, Alix." Adrien chirped in. Chloé spoke up saying "As if! I had nothing to do with this!" Alix snaps "you're all to blame!" And she skates away angrily.

"Alix, wait!" I yell to her. And run after her
