Dream 11

"Shut the fuck up! Both of you just stop talking!"

With a simple, and quite aggressive, command, both Dream and DreamXD had stopped speaking. They looked at George, studying him.

George laughed slightly, taking off his glasses and throwing them down. "You two really think," George shook his head, wiping his tears even though they continued to fall, "you guys think that me? Me? I give a shit about what either of you have done?"

George took a step back and observed the two, the look of betrayal written all over his face.

George began to take steps back, his legs slightly shaking. "I trusted you both. I loved you both. But I'm just a game to you two. Some sick twisted game."

George then turned on his heel and began to walk away. He wasn't going to run, knowing he'd most likely stumble because of the constant blurring in his eyes.

DreamXD stood there, speechless. He then looked over at Dream and cursed, "You're going back to prison. And you're not getting out."

DreamXD snapped his fingers before Dream could say a singular word.

DreamXD followed George silently. He wasn't going to apologize, because it was true.

He watched as George made his way to the pond. He got onto his knees and reached down to the bottom, grabbing a box. The box looked like a time capsule. It was one made when he first appeared in this world. George used his sleeve to wipe the water away, seeming to be in a hurry to open it.

DreamXD just watched, floating up to a tree and sitting on a branch.

George opened the box and inside there was a wilting rose, a letter, and a pen. George's fingers carefully opened up the letter.

It was a letter for Dream that he wrote. He was going to give it to him when he finally felt like Dream was stable enough, though now he doesn't know what to think.

It's currently spring in this beautiful world you've created, and the marigolds and astilbes are in bloom. I saw a patch of them this morning. I had been bold enough to pick some up and tie them into a small bundle and set it in a vase,  just to keep for you. It was- odd, I couldn't stomach the fact that I was doing something so... feminine. It's foolish of me to feel ashamed over such a mundane thing, but being here affords no room for such a delicate task. I don't know what to think about it, my love. If you may, please console me.

I miss you. I miss you so much.

My heart yearns for the day I can sink in another embrace of yours. I'm counting the seconds every day- until we may meet again. I've been watching the sunrises more often now, but their beauty seems bland in comparison to you, from what I can see. I'm sorry if this is all too straightforward, but

Do you miss me like I miss you?

With all my love,
George

Those followers were still on his nightstand to this day. He never mustered the courage to give them to Dream, or to anyone for that matter.

George set aside the letter, sniffing. He picked up a small piece of paper that just read "G+D".

George then stood. It was sudden, but what was even more sudden was that George dropped the paper into the lake, and kicked the box in there as well. The rest of the contents either floated or sank.

George turned away from the lake, stepping on the letter.

DreamXD was shocked to say the least. He wasn't sure what to say. So, instead of saying anything, he went down towards the note and grabbed it, reading it over.

His blood boiled instantly. In a rage of fury, he folded the letter and stuffed it into one of his pockets before teleporting to George and grabbing his shoulder.

"Why didn't you tell me." George turned and faced DreamXD, his eyes still noticeably watering.

"Tell you what."

DreamXD's eyes narrowed and he yelled, "That you were in love with Dream!"

George only turned back around and shrugged off his hand. "It didn't seem relevant. Dream was gone. Plus I did tell you. I told you through how I spoke about him. You're a god, you should've picked up on it."

DreamXD frowns, "Seriously? I'm a god, but I don't know everything."

George began to walk again, commenting, "Like a dumb blonde, huh?"

DreamXD had to pause, making sure he heard that correctly. "You-...why did you just-..whatever. Look, the point is-"

George quickly cut him off, "Why are you still in my business?"

Silence fell between the two. It was a heavy and uncomfortable silence until DreamXD spoke up. "Because I have something that could be of interest."

George turned away and resumed his path. "Im not accepting any deals with you or Dream. I don't trust you guys."

DreamXD followed and pressed on, "But George, you have to understand that I can give you so much more power than anyone else can."

George shook his head, walking closer to the portal. Sure enough, DreamXD was following behind him and continuing.

"Dreams lost. He's crazy. He cannot be redeemed. Me? I'm a god, George. I am everything you could every want, or even need. We had something, didn't we? The power-"

George stepped through the portal and woke up.

Looking around the scenery he was in seemed much calmer than before. There wasn't any lingering tension from the occurrence that occurred moments ago.

George let his eyes close and he took a deep breath, recollecting himself once again.

When he opened his eyes, he looked over to his nightstand where a new note was placed.

My beloved George, I've been sent back to my place in the prison. I already miss you so dearly.

Wait up for me like you did before, okay?

I can always find my way back to you.

Your beloved,
-Dream

George scoffs and shakes his head, crossing his arms. "I can't believe we're still doing this shit."
