Dream 1

George sighs, shoving his hands down into his pockets. He drags his feet along as he walks, his eyes focused on the blue and green mushrooms growing around in the field, even if the colors are a bit distorted in his vision.

It makes his frown turn into a bitter smile.

Dream hasn't come to visit in a few weeks now. The flowers they had planted in the mix of the mushrooms have already began to blossom.

George eventually stops infront of a pond, sitting down. He dangles his feet into the water, taking off his glasses and setting them beside his legs.

George leans back, letting his hands hold his weight as he looks up to the sky, his mushroom top shielding the blinding light of the sun from his eyes.

This world was created for George as he slept for eternity. George had accepted this curse, hoping to wake up soon. Even if the chances are rather low.

Dream had made it for him, since George is indecisive. And George couldn't be happier with the results.

He lives in a small cottage-like home that's surrounded by a variety of lovely mushrooms, flowers, plants, and animals.

George would never admit it himself, but he adores the way Dream had made it.

He's the king of his own little kingdom.

Sure, there's no people around, but the title of 'king' is enough for George.

Though, he had to admit, it was quite lonely when Dream couldn't visit. This time wasn't an exception.

George now sat alone at the pond, thinking back to lovely and welcoming memories here.

This was where Dream was able to make George laugh for the first time. He had splashed George with water, apologized, then did it again moments later. The two of them bursted out in laughter. Dreams laugh is contagious to say the least.

Another time is when Dream had taken off his mask. George joked about it, but never expected for him to actually do it. Dream joked back that when George woke up, he wouldn't remember it.

George doesn't want to forget that though.

Another lovely memory he has by this pond is Dream showing up with a handful of flowers. Dream bowed and gave them to George, calling him 'his king' and other royal, flirty names.

George shoved Dream into the water directly after.

It was no secret that George enjoyed Dreams company. In fact, he loved his company. But being without him for so long has made George more bitter than before.

It's safe to say that George would be pretty upset, if not angry, when Dream came back. It's been a week.

Sure, George has no idea what's going on in actual reality, but that doesn't do much for him.

George wants to be a little selfish and take Dream away from his reality. He wants to take Dream away from his server and priorities, but Dream has to come here.

And George hasn't heard a single thing from him in what feels to be weeks now. So naturally, he found different ways to occupy himself. One of them being to go to this lake and revisit memories.

George sighs and looks down, seeing a fish jump out of the small pond as he did so. George looks at the fish and smiles lightly. He's glad to know that the wildlife here are still surviving.

There's a crunch of leaves behind George, but George doesn't seem to either hear it, nor care. George just stares off into the lake, mindlessly wasting time watching the fish swim around.

There's heavy steps behind George, causing George to pause for a moment. He raises an eyebrow, slightly turning his head to the side.

The steps seem heavier. Much heavier. There's no way Dream came packed up with a shit load of armor. Right? Dream usually comes here when he's winding down and just wants to get away. The most armor he's ever worn here was a chest plate and helmet. He was injured at that time.

The corner of George's lip twitches, and he moves his gaze back to the pond. He's not shrugging the obvious person off, but just wants to see how long it would be before they make some kind of move.

And without fail, George feels a hand on his shoulder. The hand shape is much longer, and there's claws. It's less human.

George looks at the hand with a simple move of his gaze, and sees white, ghostly white, with hands that are shaped like claws. George was almost sure that the sharpness of the ends could pierce through metal.

Then a voice that sounds oddly familiar, but so wrong, speaks up.

"You're George, correct? I was sent here to deliver a message."

George takes a breath and turns up to the voice, seeing a creature-like version of Dream. It catches him off guard, to say the least. George quickly moves his shoulder away from the hand on his shoulder, shooting the god-like creature with an up and down look.

The creature tilts its head slightly, all emotions hidden behind a mask that covers his entire face that has XD printed on the front. He then looks around the field before slumping and making a disappointed sound. With an irritated tone, the creature speaks up, "You don't have to be rude or anything. I get that you don't know me, or whatever, but you can't be an ass about it."

The creature begins to pout. And obviously, it catches George off guard completely. George and the creature stare at one another for a moment until the creature shrugs and holds out a piece of parchment paper that looks like it's been watered down.

"Here. This is from Dream."

George's straightens almost instantly and takes the paper. He hastily reads it, mumbling out loud, "Dear George, I've found myself in prison, so my visits are being cut off completely. But do not fret, my love, DreamXD will keep you company. With much love, your Dream."

George's eyes skim over the words again before looking up at the creature that towers over him. George then asks, "Why is Dream in prison?"

The creature tsks, looking off for a moment. It then leans down to George, putting a hand on his shoulder and whispering, "That boy went stone-cold crazy, George. Power overtook him, if you will."

George looks across the creatures featureless face for a moment before sighing, "Are you DreamXD?"

The creature puts his hands beside its face, backing up, "Woah, what made you come to that conclusion?"

George deadpans, rolling his eyes, "Who else would know how to get to the portal? You're a god. Only Dream knows the way here."

The creature goes silent for a moment before crossing it's arms, "True. Anyways, to answer your question, yes. I am DreamXD. Don't get Dream and I confused. We are not the same person, nor are we in any kind of way similar."

George shakes his head and walks past DreamXD with a mumble, "I don't know man. You remind me of him. Even the crazy part."

George intertwines his fingers and walks across a mushroom path with a blabbering DreamXD behind him.

George stops by a patch of mushrooms, behind down and picking one. He holds it up to the sun, seeing the light pass through it. DreamXD stops talking behind him, seeming to be plagued with confusion. George turns to him.

"What color is this? I can never seem to remember. Dream told me once before."

There's silence between the Mushroom King and the Server God for a moment.

DreamXD then speaks up, "It's cyan."
