Queenly Reign (the beginning of one)

I left the party after that night and was escorted in a horseless carriage back to my red castle. It was large and bright, the red and black of the walls covered slightly by ivy vines. I was escorted to my room and left alone. It was then that I truly understood what Ivory felt, it's rather lonely in these castle walls. As a new queen, I haven't even got any servants yet. They're expected around next week. I undid that convoluted, complicated dress of red silk and black lace and then attempted to pry off that stupid corset. "What's with all these darned strings!"  Then the strings fell away and I yanked the thing off.

"Does that help you at all luv?"

I turned my head to find Morpheus sitting in my windowsill, I quickly covered myself, "Dirty perv," I got into a nightgown fast.

"Oh I'm sorry, I just saw you struggling," he came over to me and cupped my face, "Don't gentlemen help their ladies."

"Even so," my face was heating up due to his close proximity, "I want you to give me some space too."

"You're lonely huh?" His lips tilted into a cocked smirk.

"Not true at all!"

"Do you wish for me to stay over, we can pretend it's a sleepover," he booped my nose.

"You're not Ivory, that's not the same thing."

"I'll just keep you company, that's all darling."

"You're on that pull out couch then," I pointed to the red and white couch I asked to be put in, it was a nice touch.

"Alright, you sleep well then," he came up to me and kissed my cheek, "Sleep well dearest," he laid on the couch and rolled over.

I went over to my bed and laid down, that moth can be a real pain in the butt sometimes.
