Come Spring

Franklin Yoder and Annie Allyger, the private detective living on his farm since he'd seen a murder in town. Shining Star Town, the madman murderer had been captured, "phew, pressure off everyone" Annie said on a news conference televised around town here and abroad.
She looked proud and sophisticated standing up there at a needed conference, where questions were asked. Answers found sworn in to tell the truth.
Chief Whittle, congratulations Annie Allyger I want to give you this award plaque you so deserve of since you helped crack a huge murder, horse-thieving ring."
Camera flashbulbs, going off. " Thank you so much Shining Star Sheriff department. I will cherish this gift and ceremony forever. God Bless you all ."
" We will be sending her elsewhere, to another case soon, a pay increase, and above all Chief of the Sheriff Department in Sunshine Amish Village Town an hour away."
" On my an offer I can't refuse," Thank you she said beaming.
Except inside she really felt was, I wished I could stay and Marry Franklin Yoder. I'm sure he is watching at this moment at home on television. What he must be thinking at this time is certainly worrisome for him. To be certain they are in a love affair beyond anything they've felt before. So much in love only our Lord knows it.
She put on an act to be happy, yet bewildered all at the same time. Mam and Dat will understand completely. Sitting at home Her parents Darlene and Earl Allygar clapped for her so happy.
" I wonder if she's ready for this Earl? Because something in her face says something else I know I'm her mam."
" let me look at her closely. Yes, she feels indecisive Darlene, look at her body language. "
" She can say know can't she hon? This is not planned at all. Wait till her braudaar Cole hears
Of it he'd give his eyeteeth for that position down at the Sheriff's office." He an undercover agent there a long time, Elder Braudaar. Their twin Schwesters younger at home still.
The ceremony, pay raise, and meal today never in her dreams could she have imagined in a lifetime. She drove to Franklin's house, and when she pulled up. He sat on his front swinging on his porch swing hung from the porch. He looks as handsome as ever, she honked waving from a rolled down window of her blue Ford pickup.
He'd watched the entire comments on television. Happy, accommodating, give her up no never. He'd go along with it. Waving back to her pulling up in his soon-to-be her driveway too.
Then parked in the drive walked up the porch steps to him. She fell into his arms he held her there and kissed her romantically. She let herself go then. " what should we do Franklin? They talked into the early morning light.

Thank you for having me as you Chief of the Sheriff department. From our home to yours ."
She headed back to her office after her representation to greet everyone in her town. Franklin hugged whispers in her ear" it went well congratulations."
They walked passed her secretary luAnn, speaking as Annie handed her a cup of coffee. Franklin would spend the day , he will be her confidant, husband. Their wedding was lovely , lots of guests . Surprised she and Franklin moving leaving his Braudaars hold down the farm. His share still in it , if they move back .
Franklins Schwester Eve lived in town school teacher. And some of his cousins, grandparents.
At the end of the day home to their farm , a beautiful spread . The other sheriff moved out leaving it to the next chief Annie Yoder. Furnished for them , stocked in grocery goods yet . They made an order on line to be delivered from the Amish Market. Annie did bring two favorite dogs along to live Dog and Hooty, two German Shepherd Dogs beautiful. She could take them to crime scenes.
The big white washed farm house , the name Yoder on it the old name removed till the next Sheriff after herself takes over.
Inside beautifully decorated, plain , yet rustic, like from a magazine. Excitement filled the air Mr. And Mrs. Yoder, hugged happy together. Surely a dream come true for them both .
Time always fills a void , naturally things bloom in due time for it too.
" Fire , Fire," The Town Squire yelled into a holler. Annie was up and Franklin, both in the squad car jeep at the fire already. All fire man there doing a fantastic job of , the town news , and news paper.
Annie had car-harts on from the Sheriff-department . Franklin stood back watching and her , proud yes very proud of his Annie. She soon walked around asking questions, yet stay out of the fireman's way. Talking into the telephone to the dispatcher.
" This is an awful fire , send the next towns to join us keeping this flame under control. In no time short more sirens and fire trucks, they responded to Annie's call for help. Unfortunately the entire farm lost , Two people died , tears rolled down Annie's face terribleness of it all.
The fire chief Edwin , walked up to her holding a baby boy a new born and a small little girl age two down syndrome's. Frank took the two year old by the hand as Annie held the baby till they reached the jeep. She had car seats and buckled them in place to go home in.
Neither one spoke on the way home a first for them , to busy cooing babies right then.
Once home birds chirping outside they had stayed all night till the end of the fire put out.
She drove tired and still in good shape. She'd get a week off for her dedication of going to the fire. She sent a pizza party to the fire station .
Then home inside dealing with having the children put upon them. A knock at the door the social worker from our town. Mrs. Bontrager, she brought all kinds of things , baby bed , child's bed , diapers , clothes and gift card . Bottles, blankets , baby food. Which Franklin carried inside.
" You'd told me you want the girls? The social worker said. Smiling, this is so sad and no family to take them all deceased. " I want them yes to adopt to be ours , my husband agreed."
They signed papers, for soul custody, adoption to be finalized .
She left , and would do checks until adoption finalized. Franklin and Annie hugged for joy of it all. " Our new Yoder family," Both said confidently. Their rooms made up is next , His Schwester came over Eve and boyfriend Philip came over so they could sleep after a long night of it.
The babies bathed , already and dressed , settling down to nap the baby beds up in the Dinning room . Eve asked ahead of time before laying down, she wanted to decorate their room . Quietly, Eve and Philip started putting clothes away in empty drawers , the room directly next to Annie's and Franklins on the main floor. More bedrooms upstairs the house monstrously big. And beautiful.
They hung rustic stars on the wall, draped a pretty light pink swag across the windows looking out over the farm. Unrolled a light pink rolled rag rug out on the hardwood floor , she purchased at the babies and main in town a store. She'd brag to them how pretty it looked. A baby swing was donated, as a playpin, and this room is very large because the house is. Philip put up a doll house he purchased from his dats store, dat made them. Also, the furniture and dolls looked Amish.
The room became so pretty little girl-like. On the dresser brush and comb set. A toy box for small children's toys to play, baby dolls looking like them. After the room is finished, set the bottles inside the cupboard. Dry food for the baby and Jared food. Things Our two-year-old will like. They intend to rename the girls today.
Eve and Philip worked hard on the stuff, to surprise them all when they woke up after being up all night. For supper stew and dumplings, sauteed green beans in butter, peppered to taste. Cream acorn squash and butter, cherry, Apple dump cake. A pitcher of sweet tea, a pitcher of fresh milk.
Everything smelled so bad Annie and Grsnklin decided to wake up. Making the bed back up like no one slept in it. Hugged and entered the dining room checked on the children wide awake picked them up and went to eat in the kitchen.
Two high chairs to set them in. " Well, we reached a decision on the names Heather, for the baby, and Hanah for the two-year-old," Annie announced at supper time. Hanah answered her name right away. So it will work out and fit perfectly. "
"Our Lord picked our family for us, and so it is and always will be us Yoders. They all clapped to that announcement,"
Philip made.
The month of October and soon fall decorations coming out to be seen and enjoyed. Halloween parties, carving pumpkins, and hay rack rides for young and old alike. Cozy inside hot chocolate, baking cookies, and singing around the fireplace roasting marshmallows .
And with a baby girl and toddler girl , the would sure be lots of fun.
