50- Forever and Ever

Y/n's P.O.V

I stood at other end of the hall, holding a bouquet of fresh roses. The veil of my dress was running down and had to be held by two of my friends so that I could walk properly. The flower girls walked in front, spreading petals along the aisle, followed by the bridesmaids. My dad stood beside me, trying to discretely wipe away a tear, but failing miserably. I tried not to cry, but it was hard to not.
Sofia came up from behind and placed a kiss on my cheek before walking in front, giving the cue to the choir to start playing. "Can't help falling in love" started playing instead of the traditional "Here comes the bride".
"You ready?" Dad asked.
"Yeah." I took in a deep breath.

We took small steps towards the altar. I felt every emotion I possibly could. Happiness, anxiety, excitement- all of it.
Tom stood a few feet away from me and he was crying. His nose and eyes turned red, like they always did whenever he was angry of crying. He looked as handsome as ever in his tux.
I hugged Dad and walked onto the altar.

Standing a few meters away from Tom, in a church, on an altar- it felt unreal. But it was happening. I was marrying the love of my life.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the joyous union of two souls, Y/n and Tom. So, without any further ado, let's start with the vows, shall we. Tom, are you ready?"

"Yeah." He cleared his throat, "Oh God, Y/n, firstly, you look absolutely breath- taking and secondly, I promised myself that I wouldn't cry today 'cause it's supposed to be a happy day but I was standing here and I saw you in that dress, walking towards me and it hit me- you're going to be my wife today, so yeah, I may have shed a few happy tears." Everyone chuckled, "You are easily the best thing that has ever happened to me, love and I promise to remind you that every single day. I'll be there for you during your highs and your lows, always. I promise to make you feel like the most special girl on the entire planet every single day, because you are. I will support you in every adventure you choose to go on and I'll love you forever."

I sniffled and mouthed 'I love you' to him. God, he was good at giving speeches.

"Y/n, your turn now."

"Okay, here we go. Tom, if someone would've told 17 year old me that I would be marrying my best friend's brother in 7 years, I would've thought that they were definitely trying to prank me. But here we are. Yes we've had our ups and downs, but which relationship doesn't have those. You have supported me and you've been there for me whenever I needed you and that's all I could've ever asked for. You have tried to be your absolute best self and that has made me try to be the best version of myself too. You're respectful, kind, genuine and everything I could've asked for in a life partner and I can't wait to start this new chapter of our lives. I love you, every freckle on your face and every curl in your hair, your flaws, imperfections and every part of you and I promise to do so forever. "

Everyone was now getting a bit teary eyed.

"Rings please." The officiant said and Sof handed me the ring while Tom took his from Haz.

"Y/n, now repeat after me: I, Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n take Thomas Stanley Holland as my lawfully wedded husband, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, 'til death do us part."

"I, Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n, take Thomas Stanley Holland as my lawfully wedded husband, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, 'til death do us part. " I put the ring onto his finger and pressed his palm.

"Tom, now repeat after me: I, Thomas Stanley Holland, take Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n as my lawfully wedded wife, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, 'til death do us part."

"I, Thomas Stanley Holland, take Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n as my lawfully wedded wife, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, 'til death do us part." He said and put the ring onto my finger, our smiles wider than ever.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss each other."

Tom pulled me in, brushing the hair out of my face and placing a sweet, yet passionate kiss on my lips. Everybody started clapping, just as Tom deepened the kiss. He'd probably forgotten about our parents and relatives being there, but I wasn't complaining.
He pulled away but our faces were inches apart.

"I love you." I said.
"I love you, darling, forever and ever."
