The Letter

Cris,
Hey! How do you find your new school? And congratulations on being a Wampus! I hope you find a family in your house and friends in the others. Have you met Hazel and Nico yet? They are in Wampus too. Nico is a year above you. He will help you out in your studies but I hope you will make friends with others as well.

Also, do go for Quidditch tryouts as well if you are able to adjust soon enough. If not, well you can always tryout the next year and it will also help you focus on your OWLS. But do not forget to have fun even while studying. A few pranks won't hurt!

As for your wand, the length represents your personality. Seeing as yours is over 14 inches, an abnormally long one, you are very honest about your personality and are not afraid of putting your opinions forth. The level of flexibility is  symbolic of the wand's  willingness to work for it's chosen. The more flexible the wand, the more easier will it be to wield.

Yours being inflexible means, that you will have to work hard to master it. But the inflexible and rigid wands, once mastered, are the most powerful. Sequoia wood is an American wood. It is for strong-willed wizards who are in touch with nature. I think it has to do something with you being a parselmouth. Alder is one of the rarely used woods. It imposes balance.

Doxy wings form the core of any wand made of Alder wood. They are also mean-spirited and belong to those with stubborn personality. It is Hippogriff feather that comes as a surprise to me actually. This core is very adaptable and probably balances out the  'hard-to-wield' property of your wand to some extent.  But like every other component of your wand, it demands respect.

You have to respect your wand and keep it in wonderful condition. Or your magic will backfire and you might never be able to cast a few defensive spells.

Now that that's out of the way, I hope you enjoy your time at school. What are the electives that you've chosen, by the way? Will you continue with Divination and Care of the Magical Creatures? Or will you take up Arithmancy or  Ancient Runes? If you are going to be an Auditor, I suggest that you let Divination be and take up those two instead.

Sirius says hi!

Take care,
Percy

P.S. I would hate to remind you that you are to come home for Halloween with a howler.

Alright guys. What do you want me to write after this? I know I have asked you about this before. But I haven't got any response. Should I continue with the OWL results and training with weapons with Percy  before sixth year? Also, I know that Percy hasn't been here for long. Something about his relationship?
