Byakuya decided to stop spying on the two and went to his room. As he walked into his dorm he sat on his bed and started reading. A few hours later the nighttime announcement played

"Mm, Ahem, this is a school announcement. It is now 10 p.m.
As such, it is officially nighttime.
Soon the doors to the dinning hall will be shut and entry at that point is strictly prohibited.
Ok then... Sweet dreams everyone! Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite...."

As soon as the announcement ended the dorm door swung open
"Hi Togami!" Makoto greeted while Togami slightly looked up from his book.
"Hello Naegi"
"Sorry for coming back so late I was-"
"I didn't ask" Byakuya cut off Makoto. Naegi pouted and sat on his bed
"Come on, you don't have to be so mean all the time. Would it kill you to be nice once in a while" Naegi spoke
"I don't need friends, all I need is myself"
Naegi sighed and went to the bathroom to change

"I know you're nice deep inside, you just block your heart to other people because you're scared that someone shaters it" Naegi said while sitting on his bed
"I have never heard such stupidity in my life" Togami replied.
"Can you not get it in your stupid head!? I don't care, and I especially don't care about you" Togami shouted.
Makoto would be lying if he said that Togami's words didn't hurt but he didn't let it get to him too much.
"It's ok Togami, I know you don't mean it" the brunette beamed to which the blonde made a Tsk sound.
Naegi climed underneath his dovey
"Night Togami!" He said
"..."
He soon switched off his bed side lamp and fell asleep.

Byakuya thought about the small boy's words
'I'm scared that someone will break my heart? Me, the Byakuya Togami, scared of something so idiotic. Naegi has such a wild imagination'
The blonde thought before turning off his lamp and getting ready for bed

It was 3:00 a.m and Togami couldn't sleep. He was frustrated that someone so boring, so annoying could look through him like clear glass.
'How dare such a commoner make me think twice about myself! He's just... He's just... Argh!'
But before he knew it the morning announcement played

"Good morning everyone! It is now 7 a.m and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine!
Get ready to greet another bee-yutiful day!"

The small boy across the room grogily sat up
"Mor-" Naegi cut himself off be yawning
"Morning" he eventually managed to say.
Byakuya looked over at him with dark rings under his eyes
"Good morning Naegi"
Makoto looked over at him
"Wow! You really didn't get enough sleep last night, are you ok?" The brunette inquiried
"No of course not! I hardly slept at all" Byakuya scolded to which Makoto giggled.
"What's so funny!?" The blonde demanded.
"Oh S-sorry, it's just you look cute when your hair is messy" the luckster commentd
"Cute?  The Byakuya Togami is not cute, the opposite in fact. I am the soon to be leader of a highly respected company that is soon to rule the world!"
Naegi laughed harder
"Tsk, I don't think you understand how much danger you are in right now" he snapped
"I know you won't hurt me"
"How can you be so sure"
"Because we're friends" Naegi smiled once again

Togami glared at him then got up to change in the bathroom. As soon as he was finished Naegi did the same. They both went to the dinning hall afterwards. Togami sat on his own as he saw Naegi sitting with Sayaka, Asahina, Ogami, Leon and Yasuhiro. He watched as Makoto got along with everyone.

By one of the other tables you could hear Taka talking about why he hates butter to Mondo and Chihiro.
Celeste was making Hifumi slave around for her. Muroko and Junko sat together with Kirigiri, who obviously didn't want anything with the sisters. And last but not least Toko, who was sitting by herself while writing in her book.

For a second Byakuya and Makoto's eyes met for a second before Naegi was asked a question by Yasuhiro
"Sorry guys! I'll be right back" the small male spoke and got up from his seat. He started to walk to Togami's seat
"What do you want" The blonde glared at him
"You looked lonely so I was going to invite you to sit with us" Naegi said
"As I said, I do not engage in social events with commoners"
"Well then I'll sit here with you. Just the two of us"
"That's worse"  Togami lied but Naegi had already sat down
"I'm surprised you're able to hold up since you had no sleep last night" Naegi commented
"This is not my first time. I've had many tasks to do for my father which required no sleep"

Makoto frowned at the taller male's statement
"Your dad must put a lot of strain on you" Naegi replied
"Yes, but he only does so that I'm ready to take over the Togami company one day" he stated with confidence
"Are you happy?" He brunette asked
"What on earth do you mean?"
"I mean are you really happy that you are being put responsible for his work? We're young, we're supposed to have fun! Not 'train to benefit our dad's company'" Naegi argued
"That's absurd! Of course I am. You don't know me, you have no right to control how I feel!" The blonde shouted
"But that's not what I'm trying to do-" before Naegi could finished Togami walked out of the dinning hall. Obviously Naegi follwed him

"Togami! Wait, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!" Makoto called out while running after him.
Byakuya ignored him and continued to walk away from him
"Togami wait, please let me just-" Makoto bumped into Byakuya, causing the blonde fall
"I'm sorry" Naegi reaching out his hand to help him up
"I didn't know you were that sensitive about it"
"I am not" Togami barked while taking Naegi's hand to help him sand up again
"The way you acted in the dinning hall says otherwise" Makoto replied

"Whatever, just get out of my sight" Byakuya demanded
"No! Not until you forgive me!" The lucky student retorted
"Fine, if that's really what you want then apology accepted... Now leave"
"... I'll be here if you want to talk to me" Naegi smiled weakly as he walked back to the dinning hall.

Now Byakuya was alone. This was what he wanted... Wasn't it...?
