The two boys entered their dorm.
"Um... I'm going to go hang out with Kirigiri" the brunette stated
"But the nighttime announcement is going to go off in 10 minutes" Togami pointed out
"I'll sleep over there, I'm sure Kiri won't mind" Makoto replied and walked out
'That's strange... He's been acting weird since we left the group' Byakuya thought

Makoto ran out of the room with warm tears forming in his eyes. He arrived at Kirigiri's dorm and wiped his tears before knocking on the door. The lavender haired girl opend the door
"Hello Naegi, how can I help you"
"Um... I was wondering if I could stay here to night..." He asked, Kyoko raised her brow
"Is there an particular reason why you can't sleep in your own dorm?"
"I'll tell you inside" Makoto whispered. Kirigiri sighed and let him in.
"Thank you... Where's Junko? She's your roommate isn't she?" Naegi questioned
"Who knows, she always leaves the school at night"

They sat in akward silence before Kirigiri spoke
"Why did you come here, did you and Togami fight?" She asked
"Um... Not exactly" the small boy whispered
"Byakuya told me that his father set him up with someone..." Makoto tried his best to hold back his tears
"You must be upset because you like him right"
The brunette looked at Kyoko in shock
"How did you know-"
"It's obvious, you always seem happiest with him" she pointed out, Makoto akwardly laughed
"I wouldn't expect any less from the ultimate detective..." he commented

The lavender haired girl sighed
"I have an extra futon under my bed," she remarked while crouching down to pull out the mattress from under her bed.
"Thank you again Kiri, sorry if I'm causing you trouble" he gave her an apologetic smile. She nodded and got onto her bed
"Good night Naegi"
"Night" he replied

The next morning Kyoko and Makoto walked into the dinning hall together.
"Have you seen Sayaka anywhere?" He asked
"I think she said that she was going on tour, she probably won't be here until next month"
From a distance Naegi heard someone call his name
"Makoto, there you are" Byakuya commented while sitting down next to the brunette
"Oh... H-hey Byakuya..." Naegi mumbled
"Do you want to hangout with Sonia and m-"
"Oh! I remembered, I left something in Kiri's room" the short male lied while standing up and running out the dining hall"
"Makoto wait-...." Togami sighed

"You look very pitiful right now" Kirigiri commented bluntly, making Byakuya roll his eyes
"Do you know why he's acting so strange...?"
The lavender haired girl sighed
"It's because you have a fiancé, that's all I'll say"
"That doesn't explain why he's been acting weird" he spoke allowed
"I think both of you are too dense for your own good" Kyoko stood up and walked over to the table where Celestia sat
Byakuya frowned and went to look for Naegi.

He walked back to their dorm and saw that the bathroom door was locked and he heard small sobs coming from the other side of the door.

Togami knocked on the door
"Makoto? Are you in there" he asked. There was silence before the door opened
"H-hey Byakuya..."
"What's wrong, you've obviously been crying"
"No I haven't..." Makoto replied. The taller male put his hands on Naegi's shoulders
"Makoto... Please tell me"
"I can't because if I did, you would hate me!" The brunette shouted
"Um... Sorry, I didn't mean to shout"

They both sat on their own beds
"Listen... I'm not the best at expressing myself so I'm not sure if I'll be able to help you but.... I'll do what ever I can" Togami said, breaking the thick tension
"Thank you... Um can I hug you" the smaller male asked. Byakuya nodded, Makoto immediately got up and hugged him. The affluent progeny blushed and hugged him back while stroked Naegi's hair with one hand.

They stayed like that for a while
"So... Are you really going to marry Sonia"
"... I don't think I have a choice... Neither her or I want to get married" Togami replied. Makoto looked up at him in shock
"You didn't tell me that!"
"I thought you knew.."
"Well clearly I didn't!" The ultimate hope pouted
"I wasn't aware that you cared" Byakuya looked off to the side. Makoto finally broke the hug abd scratched the back of his neck
"Why were you so upset anyways?"

Naegi didn't reply
"I guess I should tell you b-but don't hate me... Please" he whispered the last part
"I could never hate you" Togami reassured making the smaller boy blush
"I... Byakuya Togami... I like you.." Naegi managed to say, leaving Byakuya in shock. The brunette began to panic
"It was just a joke haha.. Sorry if I weirded you out-" he was interrupted by the blonde cuping his cheeks
"Say it againg"
"What..?"
"I said say it again!" He demanded
"I-I like you"
"Again"
"How many more times must I say it!?... It's embarrassing"

Byakuya was stunned
"Um... It's ok if you don't like me" the smaller boy remarked, shacking the blonde back into reality
"I like you too!"
"W-what..?" Now Makoto was stunned
"I like you Makoto Naegi" the taller male beamed, a few seconds later he realized what he had just said and blushed deeply.

Makoto smiled and giggled
"I-I guess this mean that we like each other" the blonde commented.
"Can I hug you... Again?"
"I-if you must"
The smaller boy luged himself onto the blonde.
"Does this mean you can break off the marriage?" Naegi asked
"It's not that easy... I'm sure my father won't be happy with me.." Togami sighed
"We'll get through this don't worry! As long and we keep hoping and don't give into despair then it'll be fine" Makoto commented and smiled

"I guess you're right"
