I DID IT! I FINALLY GOT OFF MY ASS AND DID SOMETHING!!! 

So I finally got over my intimidation of the land of digital art and drew some fanart of Melanie Martinez from her Dollhouse video. I've never really done fanart before, so this is a first. The art style was inspired by LavenderTown's art because I've been watching a lot of her videos as of late. That's also how I learned how to cell shade, and found out about this awesome thing called "opacity."

The lack of highlighting was done on purpose because I thought the bright white might clash with the pastel(?) palette I used. Also, as my mom so kindly stated earlier, it kind of makes her look dead. She's a doll, so she's not supposed to look quite so lively. If your dolls do, get those things exorcised and burn them. See? This is why I don't really like dolls: because they tend to get possessed. 

Off topic. Anyway, long story short, I enjoyed the 4 or so hours it took me to draw her, and I'm immensely pleased with how well it turned out.
