Chapter 36

After drinking hard, Shubham was lying unconsciously on the sofa.
And no one dared there to disturb him and ask him about his well-being.

"Sir, I think we should inform his family about this because if anything happens to him then we could be at blame", said the waiter.

"Do your work", said the Manager.

"By the way, he is not totally wrong, it is risky for us to stay silent. I should inform in Malhotra's office about all this", thought the Manager.

Meera was going to meet Anuj when her phone rang.

It was Tanya.

Meera answered the call immediately with so much hope, belief, curiosity, and fear.

"Hello? Tanya? What happened? Is there any information about Mr. Malhotra?", asked Meera.

"Yes ma'am! I got a call from Kriti. She was saying that she got a call from the manager of some hotel at the Delhi-Mumbai highway, he had called to inform that Shubham sir is there and he is fully drunk", said Tanya.

"What?! Which hotel? Please send me the address", said Meera anxiously.

"Yes mam, I am sending you the location", said Tanya and hung up.

Meera was panicked.
She came from a very simple and loving family where she has not seen all this. Like all mothers, her mother has also always acted like a shield to her and her family, protecting her from every evil thing in the world.
That's why, she was panicking on experiencing this chaos at midnight all alone.
"How she was going to deal with her drunk husband?!", this thought was scaring her.

A message popped on her phone.

"It was the hotel's location".

After getting the location, Meera ran towards the entrance of Malhotra Mansion without wasting a second.

"Mam?", asked the security guard.

"Call the driver, I want to go somewhere", said Meera.

The security guard nodded to Mrs. Malhotra's command and ran to call the driver.

The car, driver, and security, all arrived before Mrs. Malhotra in just seconds.

Meera gave the address to the driver and took off to bring her drunk husband back home.

After an hour

Shubham gains back his consciousness.

This time, he woke up extremely angry and threw the bottle kept at the table.

The trashing sound again caught the attention of everyone.

The manager, waiter, and everyone came to see Shubham.

Seeing all of them staring at him, made his anger only worse.

"Get out from my sight", said Shubham closing his eyes and fist tightly.

The manager signals everyone to leave and orders the waiter to clean the glass shattered on the floor.

"No!", shouted Shubham.

"I said I want no one around me", said Shubham.

Everyone left.

After a few minutes, Shubham heard someone's footsteps.

He was looking down, holding his head.
This time, he was in full mood to lash out all his anger at that person who was again coming there to disturb him.

"I told you to not come here. How dare you to disobey that?", screamed Shubham furiously.

He stood up to vent all his anger on the person standing before him but was shocked to see Meera there.

Meera was standing there scared.

Shubham tried to go towards Meera but he lost his balance and fell down on the floor as he was extremely drunk.

Meera ran towards him escaping the shattered glass on the floor.

"How told you to get drunk this much?", said Meera taunting Shubham in stress.

She tried to give support to Shubham so that he could stand up but she got failed as she couldn't do this alone.

She tried to ask for help but Shubham signals her to stay silent.

"Why? See, you are not in the condition to understand things right now. So don't argue and just come with me to home", said Meera.

"No", refused Shubham.

Shubham notices that everyone is  peeping there from outside.

He glared at them in rage.

On seeing Shubham's expressions, Meera turned back to see everyone peeping inside.

Meera asked them politely to leave and to don't disturb them.

Meera knew that Shubham would not easily listen to her, so she also sat on the floor beside him.

The heated atmosphere was now getting calm breezes everywhere slowly.
The Shubham's peace was now in the air.
With every passing second, a nerve of Shubham was getting calm with the breeze of peace and love around him.
He was getting his breath and life back slowly but smoothly.

"What happened? Have I done anything wrong? Why did you leave like that from office today?", asked Meera.

"So many questions!", said Shubham irritatingly.

"I am sorry", said Meera.

The furious Malhotra now had gulped all his anger inside and became an innocent pure little child.

"I won't be coming with you", said Shubham innocently.

"Why?", asked Meera.

"Because you have a boyfriend", said Shubham.

"What????", uttered Meera shockingly.

"Who told you this?", asked Meera.

"I have seen myself", said Shubham.

Meera was so confused right now but she thought that Shubham was drunk that's why he was saying all this.
She decided to talk to him in his way only.

"No Mr. Malhotra, I don't have any boyfriend. That's your very big misunderstanding", said Meera.

"No, that's not a misunderstanding. I have seen it myself. You are lying to me", said Shubham very cutely.

"No, it's not true. I guess you have hallucinations. I have no boyfriends but I have a husband because I am married na", said Meera.

"Ya, I know. You are married to me and I am your husband. Right?", asked Shubham.

"Yes right", said Meera.

"But then who is that Rahul?", asked Shubham angrily with lots of cuteness.

"Rahul? He is my friend", said Meera.

"Really? Only friend or your boyfriend?", asked Shubham.

"Only friend, I swear. I told you na that I am married, please don't talk rubbish, I feel bad", said Meera acting as being upset.

"No no, I am sorry. I will not say it again. Please don't be sad", said Shubham pacifying Meera.

Meera smiled.

"But you don't know that Rahul. He is such a jerk, you shouldn't talk to him. I noticed he had evil intentions. I don't like him at all. I feel like to smash his face on the wall. Such a stupid donkey friend you have. You have a very bad choice of friends. He is such an idiot. A total idiot, with so much guts to touch you and roam around you. I will break his hands. He always keeps staring at you, I will pull out his eyes. That jerk!", said Shubham with a raising voice and anger.

Meera was shocked.

Is she hearing right?
Was Shubham jealous?
Did he really do all this because of his jealousy and anger towards Rahul?
But why is he jealous?

There were so many questions running in her mind.
But she was feeling too shy to ask.
She was so shocked to hear all that, it was very unexpected for her.

"What happened?", asked Shubham looking straight into her eyes.

Meera was now stealing glances from him.
She was so nervous and shy around him, despite knowing that he was not in his senses right now.

"What??", asked Shubham again,   lifting her chin to have a close look at her.

"Nothing. It's all clear now na. So let's go home. I have a surprise for you", said Meera is distract Shubham.

"What surprise?", asked Shubham.

"That you will get to know after coming home with me", said Meera.

"Okay. Let's go", said Shubham.

Meera somehow made him stand.

She gave him support to pass from there.

They both came out of the hotel.

It was raining heavily outside.

Shubham couldn't control and he got out in the rain but Meera stayed back.

That was a dark but beautiful night!

Shubham was all drenched after standing for 2 minutes in the rain to regain himself.

At some distance, there was a couple night.
The soft music sound was coming off from there.

Shubham followed it.

"Mr. Malhotra stop, listen..", yelled Meera from behind but Shubham didn't listen.

Meera goes behind him in the heavy rain.

That was such a mesmerizing decoration in the open!

The lights were twinkling heavenly in the rain.

The couples were dancing.

Shubham pulled Meera towards him.

"I am feeling like to dance. Let's dance!", said Shubham.

Meera hesitated and nodded her head in big no.

"Yes", said Shubham.

He pulled her strongly towards him and they danced in the heavenly midnight rain!

While everyone around was filming them because they knew that the gorgeous dancing couple was none other than the newly married Mr. & Mrs. Malhotra.
