Rahul retracts his hand on seeing Shubham there.

"What's going on here?", asked Shubham.

"Mr. Malhotra, he is Rahul, my childhood friend. We were in the same school", said Meera.

Rahul was astonished to see Shubham there.

"How do you know him? Do you also work for him? I have also applied for a job in Malhotra's industries!", whispered Rahul in Meera's ear.

"Hello, sir! I am Rahul Pandey. I have also applied for a job in your company and today is my interview too. It's nice to see that you are so friendly with your workers", said Rahul looking toward Meera.

"Worker?", asked Shubham and looked towards Meera.

"Rahul, he is my husband..", said Meera.

Shubham felt butterflies in his stomach.

"What!", asked Rahul shockingly.

"See you in the office", said Shubham and walked out with Meera.

Shubham opened the car's door for Meera.

Meera sat inside.

Shubham got in and drives the car ahead.

"He was your childhood friend?", asked Shubham.

"Yes..", said Meera.

"Childhood friend or just a classmate?", asked Shubham.

Meera gave a look to Shubham.

"I asked because your bonding with him was not appearing so strong", said Shubham.

"We were not very good friends but just good friends in school but after school, we stopped contacting each other. I think that's why there was some hesitation and our bond was not appearing strong", said Meera.

Shubham was listening to everything very carefully.

"How many friends do you have?", asked Shubham.

"Aren't you getting too personal Mr. Malhotra?", asked Meera teasingly.

"Come on, we are living together and we have told our fake love story to the world. For safety, we should know these basic things about each other", said Shubham.

"Yes... I don't have many friends. I have a few friends in Ahmedabad and one very close to my heart, my best friend, Kaira!", said Meera.

"And where is she?", asked Shubham.

"She is in Mumbai only but I haven't even met her properly after coming to Mumbai", said Meera.

"Call her home and meet. What are you waiting for? If you want something then just have it", said Shubham.

"Can I bring her in the mansion?", asked Meera.

"Of course, you can! Why are you even asking me? That's your home, call whoever you want", said Shubham.

Meera smiled.

Shubham looked at her smiling face.

Her smile gave him a kind of relief that he hadn't experienced in his life yet.

"So Rahul is not your close friend because you didn't include him in this list", asked Shubham.

Meera looked at him and laughs.

"Yes, he is not my close friend", said Meera.

"So you don't have any male friends?", asked Shubham.

"No... I don't have male friends. But will you have any problem if I had male friends?", asked Meera.

"It's not like..", said Shubham.

Shubham took a pause.

"See Meera, it's not like I will have any problem if you will have any male friends but today's world is cruel. People's intentions are very devilish. I know you are very mature to understand the difference between good and bad vibes but still, I think that a guy can sense the other guy's intentions better and what they are up to more clearly because we understand the mechanism of a man's thinking. I will not say a word if your male friend is genuine and have only pure intentions regarding you but if it turned out to be the other side then I will not leave him either. I will destroy him", said Shubham.

Meera was listening to him like a baby listens to her caretaker.

"What? Did you understand what am I trying to say?", asked Shubham.

"Yes... Don't worry, if ever there will be anything like this then I will not hide it from you", said Meera.

Shubham smiled back at her.

They reached the office.

Shubham got out of the car.

It was the second time when Meera was coming to Shubham's office.

The first time changed her life completely forever.

Don't know what surprises her second visit to his office was holding for her?!

"Come out..", said Shubham.

Meera came out of the car.

She entered the office with Shubham.

Everyone stood up to greet Shubham and her.

She was looking like a boss lady but only one thing was missing and that was confidence.
But Shubham was sure that one day she will build her confidence so strong that no one will dare to even cross her powerful aura.

Shubham took Meera to his cabin.

Meera sat on Shubham's chair without hesitating even a bit.

Shubham gave her a look but then politely sat on the visitor's chair in front of her.

"Mrs. Malhotra, you were here for a job", said Shubham.

"Oh yes... Ask ask... Take my interview", said Meera while swinging on Shubham's chair.

"Like this?", asked Shubham.

Meera stopped swinging.

"Yesssss!", said Meera.

"Nooooo!", said Shubham.

Meera looked at him disappointingly.

"I mean that there is no need for an  interview", said Shubham.

"Great!", said Meera happily.

Someone knocks at the door.

Meera quickly got up from Shubham's chair.

"Go and sit at your chair", said Meera.

"No... Go and sit where you were sitting", said Shubham.

Meera tried to sit on the visitor's chair but Shubham made her sit on his chair.

"Yes come in", said Shubham.

Tanya enters inside.

She gave a naughty smile on seeing Meera sitting on Shubham's chair and Shubham sitting on the visitor's chair.

"Good morning sir and mam", said Tanya.

"Morning! Tell me, is the cabin for Meera mam ready?", asked Shubham.

"Yes sir...  Almost ready!", said Tanya.

"Good! Keep it ready as she will be holding the office very soon", said Shubham.

"Sir, there are some interviews lined up for new candidates. I have sent you the name and details of the interested candidates", said Tanya.

"Meera mam will take interview of those new candidates", said Shubham and looked at Meera.

Meera was already looking at him with a shocked expression.

"Okay Mrs. Malhotra?", asked Shubham.

"Yes Okay...", said Meera.

Shubham was going through the details of the candidates when he came across the name, Rahul Pandey.

"Okay sir and mam", said Tanya and was leaving when Shubham stopped her.

"Meera will not take the interview", said Shubham.
