SUMMARY

After The Dark War, Zoya Caldwell couldn't remain in York and live a peaceful life in the Institute that had once served as a sanctuary for her family. Having suffered a horrible loss of her parents to Sebastian Morgenstern's forces, thirteen year old Zoya is being sent off to live and train in Los Angeles. 

With a broken heart and scarred mind, Zoya tries to embrace the spirit of the City of Angels, giving her best to adjust to the everyday life which involved being surrounded by a whole lot of Blackthorns and a single Carstairs girl. 

Much to Zoya's surprise, her shattered heart quickly opens and the Caldwell girl realizes that maybe - just maybe - the old saying held some truth to it. 

"Sometimes we have to lose something precious in order to gain something priceless."

But, in the midst of newfound joy and much-desired peace, Zoya forgets that those things weren't meant to last for long. After all, they were Shadowhunters and Shadowhunters' lives never came quiet and tranquil.

First, thank you for giving this story a chance. It is based on The Dark Artifices, but will be partly an AU since Julian and Emma aren't parabatai in this book. Namely, Zoya Caldwell - an original character of mine - is parabatai with our lovely Emma. Let's be honest, we deserve some badass girls kicking evil people's asses. 

Second, as you know - TDA belongs to the queen Cassandra Clare. The only things I own are Zoya, Theo and the plot that revolves around them. Try to steal them and I'll be coming after you. All the gifs and edits you see here are made by me.

Third, Curse Breaker will mention some of the themes and characters that are a part of my Wayland Chronicles series ( in other words - Silent Shadows, Hushed Whispers and Brave Warriors). It might even contain some spoilers? Sorry. However, if you're reading this book first, it is not necessary to read the above mentioned ones.
