[Haru's P.O.V]
*Flashback*
*"It's gonna be alright." My uncle told me. 'Lies' I thought. Everything is not alright, here I am sitting in front of my parent's graves. I was only 6 years old at the time but I didn't understand what's going to happen to me. Where was I gonna go? How would I surv-*
"Ru-"
"Ha-"
"Haru!" Nagisa shouted. "Huh?" I didn't know what was going on. "So are you in or not?" Makato asked me. "In for what?" "You know the summer festival." The bell rang signaling that class was about to start. "Alright class take your seats." The teacher said as he began writing something on the blackboard. The teacher put the chalk down and turned to face the door. "Come right in!" Suddenly the door slid open and a familiar face appeared. A face I knew too well but refused to accept it. It couldn't be. "Alright class this is your new classmate, Rin Matsuoka." "Hi I'm Rin Matsuoka, I love to swim. I'm an expert in freestyle and backstroke. I hope we can all be friends!" My jaws just dropped. Seeing him after a long time is weird. "Alright Rin you can sit right next to Haru." Rin took his seat right next to me. I didn't make any eye contact with him, I mean how could I? I just stared out of the window not paying attention to class. I felt his eyes on me, then felt something nudging against my arm. I looked over and saw Rin waving at me. I kept a straight face and went back to looking out of the window, waiting for lunch so I can get away from Rin.

[Lunch]
[Haru's P.O.V]

Finally lunch. I got out of my seat and got my lunch. Uh oh, I forgot it at home! This is the worst day ever. I went up to the roof where the three of us, Makato, Nagisa and I usually eat lunch. But today they all decided to eat lunch in the classroom this was perfect for me to think. I really am confused as to why Rin is back.*Sighs* I'm gonna go down to the pool to get my mind off of things. Only 20 minutes till lunch is over. I walk down the steps, suddenly I hear Nagisa, Makato and Rin's voices. "I wonder where Haru is?" Nagisa asked. "Should we go look for him?" "Makato, what's up with Haru? I thought he would be glad to see me." Baka, I am glad to see you. I continue to walk down and Rin spots me "Haru what's wrong?" "Nothing's wrong I need to head to the restroom" I lied.

I sat down next to the edge of the pool staring at my own reflection. The water is the only place where I can just relax and get away from my problems. The stress is too much to handle, I mean come on, suddenly Rin suddenly shows up out of nowhere and then I forgot my lunch at home. I headed back to the classroom, sat down in my seat and waited for the bell to ring. *ding dong, ding dong* Class has started. I laid my head down on the desk and shut my eyes. "Haru. HARU!" The teacher shouted. "Huh?!" My body sprang up like a spring being released, I was startled by the loud shouting and saw everyone laughing at me "Detention." Was all the teacher said and walked back to the board to continue teaching. Detention? But I have swimming practice. Worst. Day. Ever. I was taking notes for the upcoming test, I took a glimpse of what Rin was doing but to my surprise he was looking straight back at me. I quickly turn my attention back to the board. Man... I wish class was already over!

Class was dismissed but I stayed behind. Getting detention was the worst, all I wanted to do was swim. "Haru, I can cut you some slack and let you off with a warning but, if you don't score over 80 points on your next test... You know the drill." I ran out of the classroom and went to the pool, I apologized for being late and changed. I doved into the water and did two laps. I looked up to see Makato reaching out to me. I took his offer and got out of the pool. "You're still the fastest one in the water." "I didn't care about my time or being fast, i either I swim free or I don't swim at all." I responded. I looked over Makato's shoulder and saw Rin signaling me to come over. I walked over there not knowing what he wanted. "Haru, why are you avoiding me?" I couldn't say anything. "Answer me!" He shouted. Honestly I didn't know how to answer him. "You just showed up out of the blue and expected me to be fine with that?! After no contact, no letters, no calls?! Do you really think I'm ok with that?! I missed you, we all did but you never contacted us!" I held back the urge to cry. "Haru..." I pushed my way past him and went to the locked room and got changed, then went home.

I flopped down on my bed not knowing what to do. I close my eyes and soon fell asleep.
