Huo Yi and Shao Shang paid their last respect to Huo Yi's biological parents. After this, Uncle Lu helped to cremate the bodies. Lu Sao helped both of them up the horse carriage and they continued their journey, making their way to Ping An Town. Luo Sao prayed for a smooth and safe trip with no more hiccups along the way.

At the same time, back in the palace, Empress Quan was ready to meet with the Emperor. It had been a day since she arrived at the palace. She swiftly made all necessary arrangements and requested to see the Emperor. Emperor looked worried and asked if everything was alright as it had been quite a while since they met moreover it was Empress Quan who initiated the meeting. Calmly, Empress Quan spoke, she shared that all her life she had been living under the influence of others and for others. But now, for once, she wanted to live for no one but herself. She wanted to use the remaining time of her life to live for herself. The Emperor felt the ache in his heart and asked if there was anything he could do for her. It was at that moment, she bought up her intention to move out of the palace to do her part together with Shao Shang to help the commoners rebuild their home which was torn during the war or affected due to the aftermath of the war. The Empress pushed on sharing that with Shao Shang's talent in inventing, it would be a waste to be cooped up behind the palace walls. Empress Quan shared that her first stop would be Xing Wang Town. She assured the Emperor that she would take care of herself and send the rebuilding progress back often. With a heavy heart, the Emperor nodded. The Emperor assigned a small troop and a small team of physicians. With a sincere heart, the Emperor wished Empress Quan well.

Yuan Sheng caught wind of the news and requested to render support to Empress Quan. In a heartbeat, the Emperor approved his request and sent him along.  Yuan Sheng was filled with excitement and hope. Yuan Sheng thought to himself, that the time had finally come, it was his chance to win Shao Shang's heart. By that time, Empress Quan and Yuan Sheng headed to Xing Wang Town. Shao Shang and the others had arrived at Ping An Town. It was about seven in the morning when they arrived in front of the house. 

Shao Shang alighted and helped Huo Yi down. They walked into the house and were amazed at what they saw. The house was spacious and well-kept. Shao Shang handed Huo Yi over to Lu Sao and went to tour the house. There was enough room for the children, a room could be used as the workshop room, another one as the study or reading room. The small garden in the common area where all the room doors were facing,  was nothing but beautiful. Shao Shang had in mind to plant a fruit-bearing tree there in the middle. She had in mind to build the children an outdoor playground. Shao Shang was excited about everything in the house. Lu Sao saw the happiness in Shao Shang's eyes, she walked over and asked if she liked the place. Shao Shang nodded her head, she shared that she loved the place. With a smile, Lu Sao handed the land and house deed over to her. Lu Sao said, 'Empress Quan had instructed me to hand this house and land deed to you if you like this place. I am glad that you love it very much. I am happy for you.'

After that, everyone started to unpack and settled into the house. Shao Shang put in some thoughts about the upcoming days to come. She had decided on a few things; Uncle Lu would help out with the sales of her invention and running of errands, where else Lu Sao would take care of the household. Shao Shang had decided to name her business 'Merchant' and also to go by the name 'Merchant' when conducting business. Uncle Lu shared that there were indeed some businesses in Ping An Town which seemed doable. However, Ping An Town was not as big as Xing Wang Town, thus they could bring their business into Xing Wang Town too. Uncle Lu shared that the Town was actually very near, Ping An Town was like an outskirt of Xing Wang Town. Shao Shang was relieved when she learnt of this, as Uncle Lu would be able to head out and return the same day. After everything was more or less planned and sorted out. Everyone turned in for the night and rested.
