Kanao's POV

"So, Kanao do you already like someone in school?" Shinobu nee-san asked me, we're currently eating dinner that Aoi cooked, it's the best as usual.

Now back from Shinobu nee-san's question I'm confuse..... Maybe she accidentally added this 'someone' but if I think of it.... Yeah maybe as a friend but I'm not sure if they're saying as a boy or what, but it seems like it.

"How cute that Kanao has already someone she likes~!" Kanae nee-san cheerfully but softly said, "But I didn't say anything yet." I said quietly.

"I guess there's someone who I like that I met today...." I added, should I even say who? I saw their faces shocked from what I said. "Tell it! Who is it!" Aoi shouted curiously, which results for Shinobu nee-san to put a finger on her mouth signaling to lower Aoi's voice, Aoi nodded and apologized.

"Ne (a sweet "Hey"), Kanao can you tell who it is?" Kanae nee-san asked, "You know it's okay if you don't want to say it, I was just teasing you." Shinobu nee-san added.

Shinobu's POV

I couldn't actually believe she already has someone she likes! It's a relief it's only as a friend, Kamado-kun is just so famous around the girls in 2nd years even in every year! and just literally hit on my sister that fast.

"Um it's Tanjirou a-and also Nezuko..." Kanao said she's kind of blushing? And she just said it straight-forward, I'm happy that she also likes a friend that's a girl.

"But.... It doesn't mean I fully like Tanjirou already... I don't know him much yet... " Kanao added shyly. Well this is expected anyways, "Don't worry Kanao I'll help you with him!" Aoi assured.

And there's more different today, it's Kanao talking to random people in school even though they've just met, she wouldn't actually talk to them except when they're partnered for a project, since she don't like talking much mostly to random people but I guess this class 2-A make her speak as she wants or should I just say their class president let her but I'm not saying forcefully.

It seems like there's a lot have happened today for Kanao, I'm really glad that Tomioka-san's class was safe after all I didn't need to worry.

Kanae's POV

We finished eating our dinner and get ready to bed, before I forgot to told Aoi, "Aoi please guide Kanao to her room, you know how she's scared of dark." Aoi nodded, "Hai nee-san, you don't need to tell this everyday you know." I smiled and Aoi followed Kanao to go to her room.

When Kanao was young, she really hates darkness, she has a trauma for it. When she's young, she said that her parents can be abusive, causing for Kanao to be scared of dark thinking her parents are there doing harm on her.

I was sadden when there's still parents that are abusive to their own children, I just hope she gets over it soon. That's why I always ask Aoi to guide her into her room and sometimes Kanao would go into my room to get a goodnight sleep, I would hug her and reassure her that everything's fine until she falls asleep, she's still cute tho.

"Oyasumi... (Good night...)"

Kanao's POV

Aoi guided me in my room as usual, "Are you okay leaving you here?" she asked me, I nodded, "Mhm, Good night Aoi and thanks." she still looked at me worryingly, I smiled and reassure her that I'm fine, "Alright, just go to my room since it's just next to yours. Good night." she said. She hugged me before she goes to her room.

I just get to my bed leaving the lights on, I'm used to it and maybe if I think something to distract myself, I can drift off to sleep fast. A day in the new school is actually nice, meeting new people and knowing them, especially the siblings...

-Later on Kanao drifted off to sleep, when Kanae walked over her room, she insists to turn off the lights in her room, and go in to her own room to sleep-

Tanjirou's POV

I sighed, I don't actually know but... maybe it wouldn't hurt to try. I won't hurt Kanao just for this shitty dare or bet

I turn off my cellphone and someone came in to my door, it's Nezuko.

"Nezuko, what's up? Are you done telling everyone that Kanao is my girlfriend?" I sarcastically said, "Well no, I just told them what happened to our school and describe how Kanao-san is, and also the moment you accidentally hugged her hehe." Nezuko said.

"But did Zenitsu-senpai and Inosuke-senpai already told you?" Huh? It felt like there's question marks above my head, did Nezuko knew this too? "Well Zenitsu-senpai asked for my permission since you're my brother, and I accepted it as long as it won't result bad.." Oh, she's still thoughtful after all but,

"Still, you just told our parents and siblings about me and Kanao that's not even true! That's so embarrassing, don't let me tell them that you have a crush on one of my best friends!" Nezuko gasps at this, and her cheeks puffed out, looking angry, she's so cute! That's just a revenge, we're siblings after all.

"Tsk fine! I'll just help you out with Kanao-san since girls talk would be more effective and I'm already close to her than you could ever be!" Nezuko said, I felt a little jealous for that but whatever, she's still really supportive between me and Kanao, "Yeah okay and thanks." She hugged me before she goes to her bed and slept.

I fell asleep too, there's so many things that have happened in just a day and I think it's the best.....

The next day
Day 2

I woke up and get ready for school, right now I didn't tend to gel back my hair so, it's quite messy and down. Me and Nezuko get to the school with Zenitsu, Inosuke, Makomo, Sabito and Genya we walked in the hallway.

I saw Kanao with Aoi-san from afar, Kanao seems to be getting her books from her locker, while Aoi-san is waiting and telling something to her. I approached her and Aoi-san.

While she's getting her books I insist to put my right arm above Kanao's head and my left arm holding the locker, occupying her space.

Since Aoi-san is supportice between me and Kanao she just goes with the others leaving us. "Eh? Tanjirou?" Kanao confusingly said with her soft pretty voice then faced me causing our faces having five inches away at each other, I can't help but blush right infront of her.

I looked around left and right then I lean in to Kanao's ear and whispered, "I'm not letting you go until you give me a kiss." I said with kind of a raspy and manly voice, it's cringe to describe it but whatever.

She looked down.... 'Is she shy? Or maybe I made her feel uncomfortable? Tanjirou! What is this you're doing!?' Someone that's only me said in my mind, everyone is literally looking at us now, so I just thought of stopping what I'm doing and let her go. When I was about to remove my arms that's surrounding her-

She grabbed me by my necktie and pulls me to a kiss, right in the lips... I didn't expected that! She could've just done it in my cheek, 'She's still so cute.' I thought, I didn't close my eyes since I want to see every features she had... But it's sad, it was only short. I just didn't care people's bickering about us.

"C-can you free me now?" Kanao asked blushing which make me blushed more but before that.

I woke up wheezing, I quickly touched my lips, it was just a dream! I won't do such a thing if Kanao would be uncomfortable! But she really did it... and it felt real... except it's only in a dream...

"Ohayo, nii-chan."

5 minutes earlier~~~~
Takeo's POV

"Takeo, can you wake Tanjirou and Nezuko up for them to get ready for school?" Okaa-chan asked me, well that's unusual, nii-chan would most likely be the one to wake himself up.. "Hai, Okaa-chan."

For some reasons, Onii-chan and Onee-chan has separated rooms from us, Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta, we four share the same room, while nii-chan and nee-chan are separated too, they said its for privacy things or I don't know.

I decided to wake nii-chan first since his room is the closest one. When I opened the door he's already awake, "Ohayo, nii-chan." I looked around his room and noticed his hand on his lips, is this from what they said that when a person woke up in that posture just like what is nii-chan showing right now, it means... they kissed someone in their dream? "Ah Ohayo Takeo!" So I just insist to ask.

"Onii-chan, why are you touching your lips?" I pointed on him and continued, "Did you kiss someone from your dream? Is it the one nee-chan told us? your girlfriend, Kanao-san?" I'm just curious okAy. I was glad that Onii-chan wouldn't actually marry a dog in the future, 'cause Hanako told me that it's a possibility since it's nii-chan's type.

(A/N: if y'all didn't know, in Kny manga Extras, Hanako and Shigeru asked what's their nii-chan's type of wife, Tanjirou insists to answer them in an easier way for them to understand, he says he wants some kind of dog which is a Shiba Inu and used a flower as a metaphor and that is lily of the valley. After his two little siblings heard this, they told their mother that Tanjirou wants to marry a dog. This actually makes sense as Kanao's birth month May has the birth flower of lily of the valley.)

Tanjirou's POV

"Onii-chan, why are you touching your lips? Did you kissed someone from your dream? Is it the one nee-chan told us? Your girlfriend Kanao-san?" Takeo asked me so curiously. What the heck! How can he know this things? It's probably from the internet or from his friends or even from Zenitsu! Except for that how can I answer him for his questions!

"Uh-Uhm, well....." I tried to think something as an escape but... there's none to think... I just sighed, accepting defeat, "Okay fine. That's a secret okay?" I lowered my voice so that no one but Takeo can hear.

"But Onii-chan, who is it?" Why would he wanna know? If I told him it's Kanao, there would be my two siblings who will know her whenever she visits. "No I can't tell you." I got up to bed and started walking downstairs but halfway-

Takeo started to yell something "Okaa-chan! Onii-chan kissed someo--" I covered his mouth quickly wishing no one heard him for that, "Takeo! What was that?!" I said, "Well you won't tell me who it is, then I'll just tell Okaa-chan and also Otou-chan that you kissed someone so that you would let it out yourself in front of them, so tell meeeeee who is it! I also want to know out future sister in-law too!"

I- this is so bad, Kanao is just a new student yet she's already known in this house, "Yeah fine... It's Kanao, please don't tell anyone okay bye see ya downstairs." I escaped.

We noticed that Nezuko woke up too, coming out of her door while rubbing her eyes, 'What's with the loud noise, Takeo..." Nezuko said she's still half asleep I think, "Ah nee-chan, Ohayo! It's nothing, come down now, Okaa-chan told me to wake the two of you!" I was calmed when he finally keep it a secret.

"Be safe Tanjirou, Nezuko!"

"Yep be careful you two!" Okaa-chan and Otou-san said, "Hai!" we both responded. Takeo, Shigeru and Hanako would have to go by their selves later.

We walked on our way to school we still have one hour and thirty minutes to go there so it's so much free time, it's Friday today, maybe I can help my family in our bakery tomorrow...

"So nii-chan are you ready for what first move you'll do to Kanao-san?" Nezuko asked me, well I don't really need to plan it I guess I just need to act normal to her, but how? When I'm such a blushing mess just yesterday and about my dream... I'll put that all aside! Well for now...

"Nii-chan?" Nezuko snapped me out of my thoughts, "Oh, well I haven't really planned it since it's just a bet or somewhat a dare, maybe acting normal is the best right?" Nezuko smiled and nodded.

Later on we saw Zenitsu and Inosuke, "Ganbare (You can do it/Good luck) Tanjirou/Monjiro!" They shouted, they are running on the way to school I guess they're racing again... We also saw Sabito and Makomo, "Ohayo!" Makomo and Sabito greeted, then Makomo hugged Nezuko, "Ohayo, Makomo-chan!" "Ohayo, Nezuko-chan!" we started walking on our way.

There's more one hour left before the homeroom class starts, so we're just outside of the school yet since it isn't open, I saw Kanao with Aoi-san, we insist to approach them.

"Ohayo." Kanao and Aoi-san said at the same time. "Ohayo Kanao and Aoi-san!" I said.

Aoi's POV

Huh? What's this, it isn't Tanjirou-san who'll greet us with our names, he would likely say 'everyone' or 'for you too.'

'Maybe he just wants to greet Kanao, but he added my name so that it wouldn't be way to obvious. Well that's annoying, and I noticed that she already called her name without any honorifics-'

(A/N: Honorifics in Japan are something added in their surnames or first names like, -san, -kun, -chan, -sama, it is somehow to respect the person or someone who's older than you orrrrrr if you're not close to that person that much. They have different meanings though.)

I looked between Kanao and Tanjirou-san they took a sweet glance at each other, how cute! I'm really hoping for this two to end up together.

Time flies, the school already opened, its 8:15am after all so we go inside and didn't straight up to the class yet.

I'm excited how this day would go starting from now on.

Did you know?
Kanao was enrolled to Kimetsu High just this first week's (of school) Wednesday and already compiled her files reasoning for her to start school in such an early way which is yesterday, Thursday.

-San means Mr. Mrs. Ms. is used to respect a person you're not close to or people you just want to respect I guess.
-Kun are mostly for young boys or the same aged boys. Some girls calls their boyfriend with a -kun tho.
-Chan are mostly called for girls but can be for boys too, it's just like a cute version of -San
-Sama can mean like Master, Lady, something like that, it's just the formality.

A: Happy 219 reads! I'm also excited how would it go! It's Day 2 of Tanjirou's challenge, would it ever go to a nice way? Or maybe.....in a bad way....? The next chapters will start publishing in 3-7 days since school is starting soon (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ') and I don't want to ran out of ideas here.

Please don't take the 'Kanao scared of the dark' thing seriously, I just needed it for this story.
