CHAPTER 15: Hers?

"You should go change your shirt now."

Kanao's POV

We're still hugging exactly in his door, I don't know when to let go... He's the first one to hug me after all... And he's not even responding to anything I said, I called out for him, "Um Tanjirou...?" He didn't responded again, even a bit, is he dead!? I let go of the hug seeing him fast asleep.

I thought of what to do.. Looking at his bed and back to him, I carried him and put him back to his bed, I guess he's sleepy since he do have a fever, maybe later on he'll get better since he sweated a lot... I need to tell Nezuko to change his shirt, I don't want myself to do it... When I was about to remove my hand at his blanket, he held my hand tight and pulled me into his bed, making me confused and a bit nervous...

"Don't leave me, Kanao." He said tiredly then he continues to cuddle me up like a body pillow which made me blushed a bit, "Kanao's scent... smells good as always..." he added, he has a keen sense of smell... I push him away from me slightly, we're too close... "T-Thanks Tanjirou.." I said.

"U-𝖴𝗆 Tanjirou you're holding my torso too tight." I added, I think he heard it and releases a bit of space, is he even asleep? or just pretending that he's sleeping? I take a look at him and saw that his eyes are closed, maybe he's really asleep.

But why is his cheek tinted red...?

I know he has a fever to have a flush in his face but what I'm seeing to him isn't even ordinary... I take a closer look at him once again since I have a really good eyesight, I realized he's not really asleep, should I say it? Or I'll just leave it for now...? Maybe it's okay for him to cuddle me... But if he'll do anything inappropriate, I'll kick his head off.

One of the reason is, he's burying his self in my chest.

Tanjirou's short POV

Once I felt myself laying in bed, I tried to peak a little and saw Kanao covering me with the blanket. She was about to go but I automatically held Kanao's hand and pull her to my bed so that she won't leave me alone here, I can know her scent now, does that mean I'm getting recovered? Just by thinking at it makes me happy, Kanao said something to me, "U-Um... Tanjirou you're holding my torso too tight." She said that put blush in my cheeks, I didn't realized that so I freed her up a bit still closing my eyes.

Because of what I did, I can't sleep anymore...

I'm too hype now... This is my fault after all, just remembering that Kanao really accepted that... I just hope she's not uncomfortable with me.. I heard my bedroom door opened and closed, I closed my eyes just to pretend I'm sleeping, as the person got closer, I already knew that scent...!

'Hanako!?'

Hanako's POV

I get upstairs to visit Onii-chan because Onee-chan said to watch Kanao-chan for her, which I accepted since she's busy with her visitors for a while, "Hiiiii Kanao-chan! Onii-------chan?" When I opened the door I saw nii-chan is cuddling Kanao-chan in his bed making me confuse why, then I closed the door and approach them.

I insisted to ask, "Kanao-chan why is Onii-chan firmly holding you in his bed?" 𝖶𝗁𝖾𝗇 I take a look at nii-chan, his eyes are closed, maybe he's asleep? "I think Tanjirou is tired now." Kanao-chan answered then I nodded.

But if he's asleep maybe Kanao-chan can leave in his embrace now, right? "Um well, do you want me to free you there?" I asked, I don't want Kanao-chan to feel uncomfortable though. I saw nii-chan moved tightening his hug to Kanao-chan.

It made me blush (of embarrassment) to see that nii-chan is burying his self to Kanao's chest, doesn't Kanao-chan feel uncomfortable for real? "U-Um! it's o-okay, I'll just leave when h-he wakes up." Kanao-chan responded caressing nii-chan's forehead, "Oh, okay." I said, but still looking at her worryingly.

'I wish I can pull Kanao-chan out of it.'

Tanjirou's POV

Blushing furiously because of how embarrassing is this!!! Why do I have to be in her chest right now!? It's soft but--- no! What the hell am I thinking!! This is so embarrassing I want to go to the nearest hole on the way out of Earth!

I heard two more voices coming in this way, "Takeo, DON'T!" Nezuko's voice, "Onee-chan! I'm just paying a visit to our great big bro----ther...." Takeo said slowing the last words, I think he saw us.

"Wah! What's happening here?" Takeo asked, I think their coming close to us because of their scent getting strong... "Kanao-san, are you alright with that? Doesn't it feel uncomfortable? You know you don't have to do everything for him, right?" Nezuko asked with a worry in her tone, maybe Kanao is uncomfortable now... "Yeah Kanao-san, you two have just met last week after all." Takeo added, then Kanao responded, "He's sleeping so I think it's okay..."

I shouldn't have done this, I'm regretting it.

7 minutes earlier~~~~
Takeo's POV

I'm sitting in the living room next to Zenitsu and Aoi-san, then Aoi-san insists to ask Zenitsu something, "Zenitsu-san, you have a very good hearing right?" Zenitsu turns his attention to Aoi-san, "Yeah Aoi-chan, what's up with it?" He responded.

"Well, to be honest... Shinobu nee-san said that I shouldn't left Kanao with Tanjirou-san alone... I'm kind of curious what's happening up there... I'm wondering if you can hear what's happening to them...?" Aoi-san whispered.

She's so overprotective though it scares me, when she was about to go to Onii-chan that make me shake a bit back there, she's like nee-chan, she might be harmless from her looks but she can break someone's bones...

But both Aoi-san and nee-chan is caring after all... "Right now I only hear mumbles from them so I don't really understand them.... maybe because the room door is closed, it needs to be open, you get me?" Zenitsu explained.

"Oh..." Aoi-san then turned her attention to other things, I think she's talking to nee-chan and Makomo-san and she's shaking a bit... I just decided to help them, "I'll help!" I said then Zenitsu and Aoi-san gave their attention to me, "What do you mean Takeo-san?" Aoi-san asked me, "Yeah Takeo?" Zenitsu-san asked me.

"I'll go inside nii-chan's room and left the door open." I said whispering so that nee-chan won't hear it. "Are you sure about that?" Aoi-san asked me, we have our faces closed we're like making a circle, "Nezuko-chan might scold you." Zenitsu said, "I'll be fine and I'm used to nee-chan now." I said assuring them then they nodded.

"Hey Monitsu isn't your face too close to Maoi." Inosuke approached us, is he jealous? "Pfft why? Are you jealous?" Zenitsu said giggling, "Don't worry, I won't steal your Aoi from you-" then Inosuke launched a punch to Zenitsu, "Inosuke!" Aoi-san shouted then I saw Aoi-san slapping the heck out of Inosuke but Inosuke doesn't seem to be hurt.... I just continued to go to nii-chan's room.

When I was about to go upstairs nee-chan noticed me, "Hey Takeo where are you going?" and I responded with a, "Oh nowhere~ ...See yaaa!" I continued to go upstairs while nee-chan catches me.

"Takeo! Don't!" Onee-chan keeps on catching me up with me on the stairs, "Onee-chan! I'm just paying a visit to our great big bro----ther...." When I opened the door, we saw Hanako is already inside the room and one that caught my attention, nii-chan cuddling with Kanao-san in his bed...? And Kanao-san is even blushing, "Wah! What's happening here?" I said then we approached them.

I take a look at the door while nee-chan is speaking and I see it's widely open, that's nice. "Yeah Kanao-san, you two have just met last week after all." I added from what nee-chan said then Kanao-san responded, "He's sleeping so I think it's okay..." After hearing her respond, I face-palmed, 'God she's too kind!'

'She shouldn't spoil nii-chan that much!'

We kept the silence for a while... Sometime later I would've want to tell Onii-chan that he's so dead to Aoi-san when he keeps on doing this cuddling to Kanao-san and his head is even in her chest! It's embarrassing to see him like that...

"You have to wake up now, nii-chan."  I said slightly blushing at seeing this kind of scenery.

Nezuko's POV

It made me really worry about the fact that nii-chan is cuddling with Kanao-san... He might get killed by her sisters or Okaa-san and Otou-san might see him or--- "You have to wake up now, nii-chan." Takeo said disturbing me to my thoughts...

From Onii-chan's expression, he's really not asleep and is just pretending, he just wants to cuddle up with Kanao-san, "Come on nii-chan, stop pretending." Takeo said straight to the point, making me gasp and turned to face Takeo, "What?" I put an index finger to my lips, wrinkling my brows.

(Aoi's POV
Zenitsu told me what they're talking about, and I didn't get what they are saying... What do they mean by pretending?)

"Nii-chan is asleep you see it, Take-nii." Hanako said protesting, "Well if you look a little closer, Onii-chan's eyes is shaking, you can't close your eyes for the whole hour! His eyes will just get tired there, except when he's really and literally sleeping." Takeo said proudly he's acting like a nerd boy here, although it is true. Hanako did come closer nii-chan's eyes and I think she realized it.

(Zenitsu's POV
I told Aoi-chan what they're saying and Takeo's explanation, could it be, Tanjirou is pretending to sleep while cuddling with Kanao? "Zenitsu-san did you understand what they meant?" Aoi-chan asked me, "I'm not really sure either...")

I just pretended to know that nii-chan's sleeping and think of an idea, "Well it seems like nii-chan is really asleep, so maybe we can free Kanao-san now." I said with a sarcastic tone.

I saw nii-chan moved his position and tightens her hug to Kanao-san, "Yes! See that Take-nii! Nee-chan agrees with me!" Hanako said happily pretending too then we giggled quietly, since Onii-chan has his eyes close he can't see our expressions, then I faced the confused Kanao-san.

(Zenitsu's POV
I told Aoi-chan once again what they're talking about, Nezuko-chan's sarcastic voice is still pretty! Plus her cute giggle! And I think my theory is right, Tanjirou is cuddling Kanao-chan while pretending to sleep. Should I say it to Aoi?)

"Kanao-san, let's go." I said smiling then took a hold of her hand but nii-chan doesn't seem want to let go, "Onii-chan, you're pretending to sleep, stop that. You can just go downstairs to meet the others now." I said, cause this is too much, he's owning Kanao-san by himself.

"I... don't want.... Kanao.... to leave." nii-chan said still pretending like sleep talking which reasoned for Kanao-san to blush, I rolled my eyes.

(Aoi's POV
Just by hearing what Zenitsu-san heard I think I know now what's happening, I'm so gonna f*cking kill him sooner. "Hey what are you two doing?" Inosuke asked, "Eavesdropping, so shut up." Zenitsu-san said then Inosuke came closer to us. "To Panjiro's room?" he asked me, I nodded.)

"Well if you want her by yourself so badly, admit you're pretending, you're making Kanao-san confuse here." Takeo said while holding his waist then he burts out in laughter, Hanako, "Hmph yeah!" Added with matching crossing her arms. Minute passed and he still didn't let go, "I know! I know! From Fairy Tales it is said that, a kiss between two partners can wake the sleeping one! So kiss him Kanao-chan!" Hanako blurted out.

Let's see if nii-chan will wake up from that.

Tanjirou's short POV

"I know! I know! From Fairy Tales it is said that, a kiss between two partners can wake the sleeping one! So kiss him Kanao-chan!" I blushed hard after hearing that kiss!! I hid myself to Kanao's chest burying myself but, 'S-Should I get up now? Or I'll just wait for her to kiss me...?! Why do I have to think hard on this...!!'

'I should totally get up now! We're in front of my siblings!'

Nezuko's POV

He continues to bury his self from Kanao-san's chest how embarrassing though but I can see that nii-chan is really red right now. While waiting for him to wake up, he finally rose up from the dead surprising us, "I'm awake, okay?!" He shouted that cause us to burst out laughing then he looked at us mad, we just grinned at him making peace signs, well he's not really mad it's just his expression.

Then he faced Kanao-san that also sat up too, "H-Hum! I-I'm sorry Kanao.... I was umm... I was falling asleep.... But when y-you were leaving... I didn't want you to go.... That's why I pull you into my bed... B-But later on I can't sleep... For I don't know reasons..." He explained, Kanao-san tilted her head to the side, confused.

"I wasn't leaving though, I was going to tell Nezuko to change your shirt because your back is wet, your sick might get worst at that.. But you suddenly fell asleep while we were--" Kanao-san was cut by Onii-chan who's blushing because of embarrassment, shouting, "S-Sorry!!! I really apologize, Kanao!!"

(Inosuke's POV
"TONTORO SLEPT WITH JANAO!?" I shouted, "SHHH INOSUKE YOUR MOUTH!!!!" Jenitsu said to me then everyone gave their attention to us, "What? Is that true?" Mamito asked, "It's not exactly they slept. It's just Tanjirou-san cuddling Kanao and seems like Tanjirou-san is just pretending to sleep..." Panoi explained and Kamoko is flattered for it, "Aww how sweet..!" then Menya, "I'd call Tanjirou a creep but let's hear it." They lean in to Monitsu joining us eavesdropping since he has the hearing, Lonitsu and Haoi sighs then looks at me mad. "What did Tanjirou-san do to Kanao!?" I heard Jaoi whispered to her breath with her tone mad.)

That made me laugh, now nii-chan sounds suspicious for cutting Kanao-san at that... I'll just ask Kanao-san later, "Onii-chan! What did you do to Kanao-chan?" Hanako asked scolding him, "I-I didn't do anything to her, Hanako, I assure you..." Onii-chan answered while averting his gaze to Kanao-san,

"Well why would nii-chan hurt Kanao-san if he likes her alone, right?" Takeo teased while taking some shirt from the drobe, "Takeo!" Nii-chan scolded. It's confusing why would nii-chan's back would be wet so I asked, "Nii-chan, is it too hot here? You should've opened the windows here." I said opening it.

Tanjirou's POV

I cut off Kanao's words for good, it would be dangerous for them to know it because it's embarrassing.. And how can I sweat so bad? Is it because of like what Nezuko said? I just normally always close the windows but I don't sweat that bad... Or maybe lately when Kanao and I were in the door, I was so focus to her that I didn't noticed, I was breaking a lot of sweat lately...

"Nii-chan, here." Takeo handed me a t-shirt from my drobe, "Thanks." I take off my white shirt that I'm currently wearing and noticed Kanao is in my back, I quickly put on my checkered pastel green and gray shirt, 'I forgot she's still here...!'

"So do you want to meet the others now?" Nezuko asked me which made me think if I should or shouldn't... "Nii-chan, come down please!" Hanako said, "Doesn't nii-chan feel better now? Since Kanao-san has been here for thirty minutes now." Takeo scolded or more like a tease... "I-I will go downstairs if..." Should I say it? I'm scared they could make it an issue.

(Aoi's POV
"Then Tanjirou said he will go downstairs if... But he cutted it." Zenitsu-san said to me and Inosuke, I'm sure Tanjirou-san wants another time alone with Kanao! "That sh*t I've had enough." I started to stand up and planned to go up there but Inosuke stopped me by holding my wrist, "Maoi, don't break their convo!" This is making me mad, even that I like him this just don't make sense, "Inosuke! Let go of my hand, stupid!" I tried hard to get free but he's just too strong then he pulls me closer and locked me around his arms...! This bast*rd and I think the others noticed us, "Kyaaaaa! Inosuke-kun is hugging Aoi-chan!" Makomo-san shouted making me blush.)

"He wants another time alone with Kanao-chan!" Hanako shouted which made my cheeks heated, I just need to talk to her with something though... "Seriously?" Takeo asked giggling, Nezuko takes a hold of Kanao's hand then they walked throughout the door, "Nope, it's our turn to hang out with her, now!!!" Nezuko shouted from the door, I think she really did that for everyone to hear... When they were about to go down the stairs,

I quickly grabbed Kanao's free hand.

Aoi's POV

We heard Nezuko-san's shout so we, literally all of us get to their stairs but not going up there of course, we can see Nezuko-san holding Kanao's hand while Tanjirou-san is in other one, what exactly is happening here...!?

"Onii-chan? What now?" Nezuko-san asked while looking at his brother, I can see that Tanjirou-san is shaking and breaking sweats in his forehead and then he spoke. "U-Uh it's... Kanao is... Can I talk to her with something, please?" Tanjirou-san asked. "Why? She's not yours nii-chan.." Nezuko said, 'I can't believe they're fighting over Kanao..'

"You're... w-wrong Nezuko! s-she's... she's mine!" Tanjirou-san asked receiving a gasp from us, well, except for Inosuke who said 'boooo' like he's watching a movie, "So let me just...!--- uh... Hanako?"

We noticed that Hanako and Takeo are already taking Kanao from their grip and already go downstairs, I hugged Kanao, while Zenitsu gave the two a high-five and fist bump. I don't know why I have to miss Kanao already just because we didn't meet for thirty minutes.

"Onii-chan, nee-chan, Kanao-san is Aoi-san's now, so let's all quit this argument, shall we?" Takeo-san said escaping a few giggles from him, Tanjirou and Nezuko aren't still going down here and are staring mad at each other, I hope that don't result bad.

"Yeah right, she's yours! But are you ever hers?"

Then Sabito-san shouted, "Woaaaaahhhh!! Tanjirou you've just got burned from your little sister!" it isn't shocking that Sabito-san was one of the troublemakers back in middle school... I take a look at Kanao she's blushing...

We saw Nezuko-san get downstairs then gave a high five to . "I won't let you have Kanao-san only by yourself, nii-chan!" Nezuko-san shouted once again. "I- Nezuko! I'm not o-owning her.!! T-That--" "SHHH! GO DOWNSTAIRS NOW!" Nezuko-san scolded like she's the boss right now, and Tanjirou-san, he looks fine now.

But they fought just because of Kanao.

Some factssss!

Senjurou and Muichirou are the most likely ones whose shy when visiting someone's friend's house or family they would most likely just show their pure side which is originally them ofc.

Thanks for people who answered the question from Chapter 14! Of course Zenitsu will hear them, he didn't care about what's happening up in Tanjirou's room until Aoi asked to eavesdrop, since he's talking with Nezuko and the others so he was fully distracted.
