Felicia's P.O.V

It's been a couple of weeks since Shelby, Brock, and I saw Grace. And it's been a month since I last saw Luke. I've been avoiding him. I found out that him and Mary Lou had a thing. I never knew and we've been talking for three to four months. I found out from Shelby, who found out from Grace. I felt sick to my stomach.

I know Mary Lou is happy with Marco but I feel like Luke was still messing with Mary Lou while he was talking with me. He's been calling but I would tell my parents to tell him that I was out or that I wasn't feeling too good to come to the phone.

He's been over a couple of times to check on me but my father would always tell him that I was too sick to have company.

Right now Brock, Shelby, and I are walking around the park, catching up on not seeing each other for a couple of days. Brock has been spending a lot of time with Carrie. I'm happy for him that he finally found somebody, who loves his goofy self. But I miss him.

Same thing with Shelby. Ever since that night that Tom confessed his love for her, they have been with each other ever since. I like Luke but it would suck if I was just some side piece to him. He's a great guy. From his long blonde pushed back curly hair to his size 10 feet, he's a beautiful man.

His accent always made me melt. I've been so in my head that I didn't even feel Shelby tap my shoulder multiple of times. I finally shake my head getting rid of thoughts, looking at the beautiful dirty blonde, "Are you okay?" I nod, "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I looked at her confused.

She points and my eyes followed her finger. Then my eyes widen. He's here. He's talking to a few of his buddies with his leather jacket on his back. He's not looking our way. I stopped walking and turned around to go the other way. Then I feel both my hands being grabbed. I look and both Brock and Shelby brought me back to them.

They're faces make an appearance to my vision. "You have to talk to him. You can't keep hurting yourself, Felicia. So what if he was talking to Mary Lou. She's over him." Shelby tells me, holding my hand. I shake my head, dropping my head from their stares. I let go of her hand and put my hands in my short pockets.

I sigh, "It's going to hurt me if I was just a side chick to him. I fell for him bad. I don't even know why he's with a girl like me. Look at me. I have fat fingers, a stomach that can cover the Pacific Ocean, hair that frizzes the minute the outside air hits it. I'm not the ideal girl for anybody." I choke. A few tears escaped my eyes.

"Well, I think you're the perfect girl for me." The all too familiar accent I fell in love with says. My eyes widen. I sniff still avoiding the Australian man. "Felicia, look at me." Luke says. I shake my head. I don't want to look into those ocean blue eyes of his. Then I feel his long fingers go to my chin and brought my head up.

Our eyes met. A smile appears on his lips, "There she is." A blush forms on my cheeks. I look around no sign of Brock or Shelby. "Where di-" I was interrupted with a pair of lips crashing into mine. Fireworks spark everywhere. This is our first kiss. I feel his hands grab my waist to pull me close to his.

My fingers found their way to his long curly blonde hair. He pulls away resting his forehead against mine, looking deep into my eyes. Then I hear cheers. I look over, Brock and Shelby are clapping and cheering a couple of yards away from Luke and I. I laugh at the two. I hear Luke chuckle too. He lets me go and grabs my hand. We walk towards my best friends hand in hand. How could I ever doubt this?

Luke and I stayed extra late at the park, just to be by ourselves. We're walking on a trail until we hear a car door being shut. Our heads snaps towards the vehicle. It's the same men that attacked Ashton and Grace months ago. But this time they brought company. "Run!" I yell, pulling Luke along with me. I let go of his hand so I can have better momentum to run faster.

"You're next n*gga and n*gger lover!" One of the men shout after us. We're pretty far ahead of the men. "My car is over there. If we go a little faster we can dodge these bastards." Luke gushes, out in between breaths. I nod, making my chubby legs move faster than they ever did before.

We make it to Luke's car. We hop in quickly and Luke turns it on. He puts it in drive and stomps on the gas, making the tires screech against the asphalt. The men start to throw rocks at the car. I turn around and they stopped running after the car. They start to run back they're car. Tears threatened to spill over but I will not let Luke see me weak.

We cruised around for quite some time. I'm leaning against the passenger door, looking at the buildings that we pass. The streetlights are on making their surroundings looking orange. I sigh.

I then feel something tugging at my shirt. I look down and it's Luke pulling on my shirt, "What?" I raised an eyebrow. He takes my hand, "Come closer. I'm starting to get cold." He smiles. I snort and scooted closer to him. He lets go of my hand and rest his arm around my shoulders as he drove around town.

It becomes quiet between us. I start to wonder again if I was a side piece to him. I glance at him. He's focused on the road. I look back to the road. After awhile of having a mini argument in my head weathered or not I should ask him. Then I did. "Was I just a side piece to you in the beginning?" I look up at him.

Anxiousness roams through my body. He sighs as he pulls up to the lake, putting the car into park. He shuts off his car, along with his headlights, and looks at me. I back away from him so I'm sitting facing him, with my left leg on the seat and my right on the floor. He turns and leans against his door, looking at me. I cross my arms, "Well?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No." He says, looking in my eyes. I search for any lie in them. I didn't. He's telling me the truth. Relief washes over me. He chuckles, "Come here." He motions to his lap. I shake my head, "I will crush you. I'm a big girl." He leans forward and grabs my hand. I shake my head once again, "Luke I'm serious I-" With no struggle I'm sitting on Luke's lap, with his arms around me.

I move to get a little bit more comfortable, then I hear him groan. I stop moving, "Did I hurt you?" I look at him. A smile forms on his face, "No. When you moved you rubbed against me." Confused I look down and I'm on his crotch. My eyes widen, "Oh. I'm sorry." I look back up at him. He shakes his head with an amused smirk on his face.

He pulls me close and leans his head against my shoulder. I hear him sigh, "When I met you, Mary Lou and I didn't talk for awhile. I did had feelings for her but she's too wild for my liking. I like a girl who's cool, calm, and collected. Like you." He pulls back and looks at me. I smile, "Really? But Luke she's so much prettier than I am. I'm a whale compared to her." I look away from him, playing with my fingers.

"Hey." He says, lifting his hand to move my head to look at him. "I think you're the most beautiful girl I ever laid my eyes on. I don't think you're a whale. You're beautiful just the way you are." He tells me, rubbing my thigh. I put my arm over his shoulder. My left hand cups his face, "Where have you been this entire time?" I rub his cheek with my thumb.

"I've been looking at the wrong girls." He smiles up at me. I smile at him and dipped down. I captured his lips with mine. I made the kiss quick and sweet. He pulls away, "Let's get you home. It's getting late." I shake my head, "No. Let's stay here." I look at him. He smiles and nods, "Okay." He leans into me. I turn my head to look at the water. The moon reflecting off the water is so beautiful.

I lean against him, "Come on, let's get in the back so we can get more comfortable." I nod. I get off his lap. Luke climbs over his seat and plops down onto the back seat. I look back there and it's look really big. He pats the spot next to him. I take off my shoes and climbed over just like he did. I plopped down beside him.

He leans against the door, with his legs propped up against the back of the front seat, with his legs crossed. He looks at me and pats his lap, "Come on." I adjust myself and rest my head against his lap. I'm facing away from him. I feel him shift. I look up and he's taking off his leather jacket. He places it over my cool skin. "You didn't have to do that." I say, bringing the jacket closer to me.

He smiles, "I get hot at night. And plus you looked cold." I smile at him. I turn and my eyes are facing the back of the front seat. I sigh. I feel his hand play in my puffy hair. I've always been insecure about it. But at that moment I didn't care. It felt good. My eyes start to become heavy and I went to sleep.
