Ashton's P.O.V

It's Friday afternoon, my aunt and uncle are to be here in any minute. I rushed around my house to make sure to my home was looking nice. I wish Grace could meet them but my uncle wouldn't approve. He doesn't like the blacks. Even though she's only half he still wouldn't like the idea. I don't know why. But then again, I'm a grown man I can do whatever I want.

Once I get done making sure my house was looking presentable, I plopped down on my couch with a heavy sigh. I lean my head back and pinched the bridge of my nose. This is going to be a long weekend without my girl. A moment passes and there's a knock at my door. I get up from the couch and looked through the peephole.

It's Grace. I open the door with a smile on my face. Her face lights up when she sees me. She wraps her skinny arms around my neck. I chuckle and pulled her close to me. We haven't seen each other since Tuesday and now it's Friday. We pull apart and I dip down and capture her lips with mine.

She giggles and pulls away, "I missed you." I smile at her and grabbed her hand. I pull her inside and closed the door behind us. We walk over to the couch and took a seat. "I've missed you too sweets. How's school going for you?" I ask, wrapping my arm around her shoulder. She rests her head on my shoulder, "It's school. Junior year is going so slow."

I chuckle, "I understand. Back at home my junior year went crazy slow." She looks up and smiles at me, "I believe it." I smile and place a kiss on her head. We talked for awhile and then there's a knock at my door. I get up and opened the door revealing my uncle and aunt. They have smiles plastered on their faces.

My aunt pulls me into a tight hug, "Ashy I've missed you so. How are you?" She pulls away and looks me up and down. I smile down at her. I look over at my uncle and gave him a firm handshake. "I've missed you too, Aunt Ellie. I've been doing good. Making it." I welcomed them into my house as I grabbed their luggage.

"Who's this?" My uncle asks from the living room. I walk into my house, with their luggage with a smiley Grace. Panic runs through me. I set their luggage beside my recliner and made my way to Grace. I wrap my arm around her and introduced her, "Aunt Ellie and Uncle Martin, this Grace Thompson. She's my," I hesitate.

I have no idea what to call her. A friend or my girlfriend. I never asked her but I don't want her to think she's not special. I'll explain to it to her later, "friend. She's been by my side since the beginning of this year." I smile at them. "Hi. It's nice to meet you." Grace says, with her hand out. My uncle looks her up and down with disgust all over his face. I clench my jaw. My aunt puts on a warm smile and walks towards Grace.

"You too, sweetie." She says, shaking Grace's hand. She releases her hand and walks back to my uncle. My uncle doesn't move. He gives her a nod with a hard look. She comes close to me. My uncle and I lock eyes and I give him a glare. This is going to be very bad.

"Grace go to my room. I have to talk to them alone." I whispered in her ear. She looks up at me and nods. She leave my side and walks to my room. She closes the door and that's when my uncle makes his comment, "Are you messing around with a nigger?" He spits. Anger boils through my veins. "Don't you ever call her that!" I seethed.

"That's what she is." He argues. I walk up to him getting into his face, "She is not that. She is a human being just like you and me. So what her skin tone is a little darker than ours. It's what on the inside that counts. And what's inside of her it's what's inside of us Uncle Martin." I tell him.

He crosses his arms across his chest, "She's a spook and that's final." I get pushed away from him and my aunt is right in front of him. She steps in, "Martin that's enough! I personally thinks she very beautiful. And her skin tone is beautiful as well. I don't know why you're like this. There's nothing wrong with the African Americans. And I'm tired of you bringing them down. Just give it a rest!" She pokes him in his hard chest.

"Eleanora, come on baby. She's just a nigga." He tells her. She slaps him across the face. My mouth drops. I've never seen her hit him in a day of my life. "Leave." She tells him. He looks from me and my aunt. I cross my arms with a raised eyebrow. He rolls his eyes and grabs his suit case. He opens the door and looks back at us. "I'm not sorry for calling her that. That's what she is."

I storm over to him but he already walked out and closed the door behind him. I open the door and stepped out. He's already in a cab. "Don't ever come back here!" I yell at the yellow vehicle. I shake my head and make my way to my house. I walk through my house. I walk through the door and see my aunt and Grace talking on the couch. I sigh and walked in.

I close the door behind me and they look at me. Grace gets up and rushes towards me. She wraps her arms around me. I bury my head between her neck and shoulder. Her sent fills in my nose. I bring her close to me. We pull away, "I heard everything. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have come over." She shakes her head.

I place my hands on her shoulders, "No. He's just an ignorant fool. I don't think he'll ever learn that we're the same on the inside." I place a soft kiss on her cheek. I look over at my aunt and she's looking at us with a warm smile. I bring my arm around Grace and walked over to her. She stands up, "I'm so sorry about your uncle. The older he got the more his hatred for the other race got stronger. I don't see why he doesn't see times are changing. Look at her. She's beautiful with her light complexion." She smiles at Grace. She sighs, "I tried to leave him but I love him too much to do that to him. I'm sorry baby."

She places her hand on my cheek. I smile down at her, "Thank you Aunt Ellie. I love you." She places a soft kiss on my cheek, "I love you too sweetheart. Well I must be going. Got to find your uncle." She pulls away from and grabs her luggage. I let go of Grace and walk over to my aunt, "It's late. You stay here. He's a grown man. He can take care of himself. You can have the guess bedroom." I gestured to the extra bedroom.

She sighs and nods, "Alright. It was nice meeting you Grace." She gives Grace a warm hug before disappearing into the bathroom. I look at Grace and she looks at me, "I'm going. I'll catch you later?" She walks past me. I grab her by her hand and she looks at our hands. Then she looks up into my eyes, "Ashton I've caused enough trouble. Let me go." She whispers.

I pull her close to me, "Grace it's late. Just please stay here tonight." I play with her hands. She drops her eyes and nods, "Okay." I smile and place a soft kiss on her forehead. "What am I going to do about clothes? I can't sleep in these capris." She motion to her outfit. For the first time she's been here, I checked her out. She's wearing a red fuzzy sweatshirt with dark blue capris while wearing black flats. She looks perfect.

"I got something. Come on." I grab her hand and guide her to my bedroom. I flip on the lights and walked to my dresser. I take out some red plaid pajama pants and white T shirt. I turn around and she's sitting on my bed. I walk up to her with the clothing in my hands, "Here. I'm going to step out so you can get dressed." I hand her the clothing. She smiles at me and nods. I walk out.

Grace's P.O.V

Ashton walks out and I'm alone in his room. I'm nervous. I've never done anything like this. Sleeping at a mans house. I never would've thought. I sigh and I take off my clothes. I slipped on the clothes Ashton gave. They're big but they're comfortable. I fold up my clothes and took off my flats. I place them on his night stand so I can get them in the morning.

Then there's a knock on the door. I jump. "It's me." I sighed at his voice, "You can come in." He opens the door and gives me a soft smile, "Well don't you look all comfortable." I roll my eyes playfully and he closes the door behind him. I look at him up and down. He's wearing dark blue pajama pants hanging low with no shirt on. He walks over and sits on the bed beside me. "You can sleep in here. I'm going to sleep on the couch. I just came in here to tell you goodnight."

He places his hand on my knee. I take his hand into mine. I bring his warm hand to my lips and place a kiss, "Goodnight." I smile at him. He gives my lips a quick peck and gets up. He walks but stops. I'm still holding onto his hand. He looks back at me. "Stay." I tell him. He stares at me and then nods. He comes close and puts his hands on my waist.

He lifts me up and my legs wrap around his waist. I wrap my arms around his neck. We look into each other's eyes. All I see in his eyes is love. I've fallen for him and I couldn't be more happy. I lock our lips together. He deepens the kiss by slipping his tongue into my mouth. I smile through the kiss. His warm hands roams my back.

He leaves kisses from my lips to my neck. His touch gives me this warm feeling I've never had before. I never want it to go away. Our lips make contact and lays me down onto his bed. My hands roam his bare back, enjoying his warm skin. My hands make their way to his long curly hair. Soft and smooth to my touch. We break away from our kiss, "I love you." He looks at me and places a long kiss on my lips and pulls away, "I love you, too."
