AT MALHOTRA'S HOUSE :-

HARSHITHA'S POV :

"Mom, I'm telling you again, I'm not interested in working for dad's company"

"But beta , didn't you study fashion designing so that you can work in our company. And also your designing are just amazing that our company needs them to get to a more higher position."

I sighed at my mom's words.

" I know mom but our company is not the one that encourages my style. Moreover I studied fashion designing not because I have to work for our company but because of the passion I have towards fashion designing "

I cleared my point of view to her.

My mom looked at me with a disappointed look.

" Mom,try to understand "

" Whatever, I'll inform this to your father, you can talk to him"

I heavied a sigh while sitting on bed, I took out my phone lost in my thoughts.

'I don't want to work in our company because it is not my style. I don't like it. From childhood I used to believe that fashion is not about revealing clothes and exposing the body, either it is for male or female it should exist in the design the kind of dress we are designing and colour of attraction it has,and here my father's designs are nothing but of revealing clothes, i mean I don't say it's wrong to wear revealing clothes,but that's not what I think is fashion. But my father won't understand me no matter how many times I try to tell him he always repeats the same thing like fashion is nothing but when you design a dress It has to be made like it should attract many eyes to which it need to be a revealing one. But that's not my point of view towards fashion designing so I don't want to work in our company. Moreover he doesn't care about me. He just cares about bringing his company to the top, money and more big profits'. (sigh😔)

When I looked at my phone wallpaper a smile suddenly came onto my face. It is a photo is ' THE AVYAAN SANJEEVINI' CEO 'SANVI & Co.'. He is my inspiration, role model , because even he says the same thing as me "fashion is not about revealing clothes". I like how our thoughts matches with each other. Thinking of this a shy smile made its way to my face. I have a little crush on him. Even Though it's not 'little'. I mean who wouldn't crush over The AVYAAN SANJEEVINI the most eligible bachelor of India, with a clean personality And a perfect body, with the best character that every girl can dream of . he just came straight out of a fictional world.

After sometime I freshened up myself ready for bed and slept while reading a book.

Next Morning : 8:30 AM

HARSHITHA'S POV:-

I woke up by the sound of my phone ringtone. Ohhh nishi is calling me, I and nishi are friends from 2nd class when she transferred to our school, she was a very chirpy girl, but I was just sitting beside her silently but she always used to initiate the talk and used to say that we are besties. That's true, our friendship is really strong even after more than 15 years.

I lazily answered the call.

ON THE CALL :-

NISHI : ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING????? LOOK AT THE TIME YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to keep the phone away from my ear cuz she started shouting as soon as I answered the call.

ME : Hmm...Why should I wake up early in the morning? Moreover, we don't even have to go to college from now on.

NISHI : You should do photosynthesis after waking early in the morning, You know.

ME : What? Photosynthesis? Isn't it a plants function, how can we do it...?

NISHI : Areey, pagaal did you forget what I told you yesterday?

Then,I suddenly remembered that we planned to spend the day outside together.
Now,this girl is going to kill me if I said I forgot.

ME : No, no nishi I clearly remember, and I'm coming  just give me  20 mins.

NISHI : Come fast, I'm waiting for you at our favourite cafe. I need to tell you something and I'm sO hUngRy...!!

ME : Okay..little baby, I'm coming just bear with your hungry stomach for 20 mins. Byee

NISHI : Okay.. bye

After getting dressed, i went downstairs and wished my mom good morning and I informed her, that I'll be going out with nishi and will be back in the evening. And I also noticed that my dad and Bhai are not in house, they must have gone to the office in the morning itself.

AT CAFE :

"Nishiiiiiiiiii"

"Harshiiiiiii"

We both hugged each other as we met after decades, even though we met eachother two days.

We sat and ordered one Americano and an icecream for myself because I hate coffe

" Achaa, i need to tell you something..."

She said with a mixed expression on her face

"What? Don't tell me you lost your first kiss on that hot taxi in Delhi" I gasped loudly, not caring about the weird looks we are getting from some tables,we continued our conversation.

"No,you know that right, I went to Delhi for job interviews which includes SANVI &Co.??"

"Yes i know, DID YOU GET IT???"

"YES I DID"

We both started shouting and hugging each other while jumping and now I confirm, everyone in this cafe mustbe giving us weird looks but we care less about that right now.

"Ahhh!! Congratulations, I'm so happy for you"

"Hmm...but I don't want to go to Delhi all alone without you. You should have applied for the interview with me then we both would've gone to Delhi together to work"

She said sadly.

"I know even I want to work there, but you know my dad won't allow me to work in any company otherthan his. Even yesterday night I had a conflict with her about this"

Like this we talked some time and went to so many places and then around 7pm I returned house.

When I came inside I noticed that my whole family is sitting at the dining table looking all serious,they are not even eating. So, I thought to escape from there silently but, my bad luck my dad called me.

"Sai come sit here, we need to talk about something with you"

I silently sat there on one of the chairs beside my brother which is opposite to my mom and dad.

"I heard you said that you don't want to work for my company" He said

" Dad I've been telling you and I'm telling you again that your company is not at all my style and i-"

He cut off my words in the middle saying

"But won't you understand that's what fashion is to the people outside. Sexy dresses and exposing their body."

I closed my eyes trying to calm myself and said

"No,it's not dad. Even if I try to explain to you, you won't try to understand because you don't care about fashion, all you care about is profits and money. That's why your company is still no.15 even after two decades"

I spotted out all my frustrations. My brother held my hand on the table and started rubbing it gently to calm me down? No, there's something in his eye is it concern? But why? Even my mom is looking at me with an apologetic look.
Something doesn't seem right, I think there is another reason for our this conversation. Not only work but something else.
Just then my dad spoke grabbing my attention.

"Fine, if you don't want to work in my company, it's okay you don't have to"

Did he just agreed to me not working in his company, that's suspicious.
There was silence in the room for some time. Then,my dad continued talking.

"Get ready Friday which is day after tomorrow because, Sanjeevini's are going to come to see you.They are thinking of marrying their eldest son 'Avyaan Sanjevini' to you. I think you know him right and also behave well infront of them so that they'll like you and make him married to their son. If they like you then,the next month is your marriage with him.
